No. You have to read between the lines. What they are really asking is whether Clark will be just another white basketball player who played well and received incredible hype in college but was mediocre or bad in the pros. Thus the comparison to players like Jimmer. I think she's going to be a great player in the WNBA.

I still don't know anything about the WNBA but to say Caitlin Clark ain't gonna raise the ratings of the WNBA is just madness...she doesn't need to be the best player...she just needs to be the most exciting player!...I really wish Paige Bueckers declared too but I guess its up to Caitlin and Reese now!

I think she will tear up the league. She will be like Larry Bird in 1980. People forget all the "Great White Hope" hype when Larry was drafted by the Celtics. Many black fans like myself and also many players thought he would be a bust. He won rookie of the year and took the Celtics to the playoffs. They had only won a little over 30 games the year before. She will have the same success in the WNBA.

Not sure much carryover. If she's really good it will increase ratings, and make people want to go to more games, but I think women's basketball still on a pro level doesn't have much pull to hoops fans overall. If she's like Steph Curry could elevate the league somewhat.

For women, the ball is too large and too heavy and the basket hoop too far and too high. So most of the female players have to shoot the ball from their chest like a 🐸 jumping.
