Is sad that now we’re talking about PS6 when barley anything is happening to the PS5
When they literally just released a PS5 "pro"
@@tiredman99I don’t think he’s talking about a mid-gen refresh console…
Consoles used to be the cheaper and convenient alternative to pc. But since they're bumping up the price it seems like exclusives are the only thing keeping them afloat. Then you got PS5 which barely had any notable exclusives.
I think ps fans are perpetually waiting for the next hardware fix we had like 2 years of pro rumors and gloating before it got announced rinse repeat
@@lovlol413 pretty sure the point he was trying to make was that with the ps5 pro releasing, there shouldnt be so many people thinking ahead to the ps6, but yknow, sony
Man that concord tax hits hard.
Concord has nothing to do with it. 1. I seriously doubt they spent $400 million on the game. "An unknown source in the organization" without any sort of substantiated evidence to back up their claims is not reliable. They also want us to believe that they spent more in the last 10 months of development than they did in the previous 7 years. Which is ludicrous. 2. Sony plans to launch it again after some changes to recoup any losses, but either way those losses are a tax write off. 4. They spent $3.6 billion just to purchase Bungie, plus whatever it is that they're spending on Marathon. 5. Playstation still has $6 billion dollars set aside for more acquisitions this fiscal year. 6. They were going to spend $12 billion dollars to purchase half of Paramount studios earlier this year before changing their mind and just offering for Paramount plus, but again changing their mind. So they literally have billions of dollars laying around that they want to spend. They also canceled 6 other live service projects that were in various stages of development, one of which was reportedly only a few months from completion. Concord is just a drop in the bucket.
@@GoodBoyGoneDad sony hasn't come out to deny it just saying lol
@@GoodBoyGoneDadSony bought the studio though and this is their only game.
@GoodBoyGoneDad Damn, that's a lot of text for someone who clearly doesn't understand economics.
Concord absolutely hit Sony hard. It absolutely cost near that much to make, especially when you consider all the extra money they spent up to 2021. However you clearly get your information from PC Gamer and write off anyone else who disagrees with you.
Concord was an unprecedented disaster, and has affected Sony's decision making process for the next decade.
@@GoodBoyGoneDadand how much of those billions of dollars you reckon come from Blackrock/Vanguard? I’d wager a lot.
Also, having a lot of money sitting around isn’t really an indicator that they’re doing good. How they’re spending it is. And they’re spending poorly. Major project after major project resulting in massive losses.
I also don’t think $400M is impossible, it was the studio’s CEO baby project, he probably pumped every expense he could leverage into it simply for wanting to be right not caring if his idea fundamentally sucks. He thought he struck gold but epically didn’t.
Also companies have said in the past that they would fix/support a game only to abandon it because it wasn’t making enough money. Anthem, Redfall, Skull and Bones, Red Dead Online, and these are just a handful without thinking too hard. There’s plenty out there.
Hell entire finished games have been cancelled from releasing before. Most recently being Factions 2. Their ratio of spending to profits are nowhere near balanced, they’re spending way more than they’re getting back and nothing is infinite.
"Sony will release bloodborne 2, and you will buy a ps6 to get it."
"No! Thats not true! Thats impossible!"
"Search your feelings, you know this to be true."
"NOOOOO...!! Noooooo... noooo..."
most will not but some will
That’s what I’ve been saying! Not only is there the Demons’s Souls precedent, where it was remade two generations after the original came out, but a Bloodborne remake on launch would also be good to wash the taste of “no games on PS5” out of everyone’s mouth. It also helps that it’s coming off the insane success of Elden Ring and SOTE.
They could also wash that taste out of our mouths by putting games on the ps5, but whatever 😂
Lmao nah i wont bother buying ps6
If they released another Bloodborne entry on PS6, wouldn't it solidify the fact that the PS5 had literally no games?
@@nickhard7615well no actually. We've gotten Demons Souls, Returnal, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, Stellar Blade, Final Fantasy 16, Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, Spiderman 2, and Astrobot just to name a few. There's more and that's also not counting everything that's cross gen too.
Contrary to popular belief PlayStation 5 has plenty of games on it, what people are upset about is the lack of First Party games which I'll admit is a problem but one that Sony seems to be slowly fixing since we know we're getting Wolverine here in the next year or two, Ghost of Yotei is releasing next year, and we know Santa Monica is working on a new IP.
Personally I'm not upset about this. First party stuff is great but as long as I'm getting quality exclusive titles that's all I care about.
Two of those are remakes, two more are kids games and I’m pretty sure the rest aren’t even exclusive.
Halfway through the PS4 lifecycle, everybody could list five games that were must play exclusive for it off the top of their head because there was so many.
ANYONE who pays $800 on a PS6 for a REMAKE is BIG TIME BUGGING...yall need to stop letting them get away with this ish..
I mean you also get the Ps6 so it's not like you're JUST getting Bloodborne lol
@@CZProductions we don't even know if we will get any games on it tho.
@@Purplinessky Can always just do what I did with the PS5. Get one at launch, played demon souls remastered a few times, sold the PS5 for like 1200 😂 Just do that with Bloodborne
@@CZProductions lmao true
@@CZProductionsYeah and then the Bloodborne remake will be the only game worth spending the money on bc they won't release nothing else worthwhile, just like with the Demon Souls remake and then you're just gonna have another expensive ass paperweight that your pc otherwise outclasses in every way. Matter of fact Bloodborne PC emulation will probably be preem by time they announce anything with the IP, so I'm actually not worried about it all, come to think of it
As a PC player a Bloodborne port wouldn’t even do it for me anymore considering we’re so close to emulating the game anyways
Not close, it is being emulated more now, I’ve seen some more casual people like me emulate it, so I don’t think it’s that hard to do realistically, just time consuming and demanding
@@kautious1941nope its not time consuming most of the time dodi and fitgirl repack the whole game with emulator setup itself.
What you have to do is just install.
Not so much.
@@kautious1941 It’s so dumb because if Sony would just port Bloodborne then they would make way more money but instead they’re literally losing the market that they could have tapped into because of emulation. Oh well, sucks for them, ima keep playing at 60fps the way god intended lol
By the time the PS6 comes out, nobody will care
"just port it"
Why do people like you always think it's so easy?@@fightedmealready2692
I think if they change 800 for the PS6 a lot of people will just decide to make the jump to PC and get a very basic gaming PC for that
Did you not understand what he's saying? 😂 bloodborne is PS exclusive. This is sony.
@@kg888 i think their point was, given PC is superior in practically every way, missing out on one game for the sake of a better consumer experience is worth it
I built two pcs my first one late last year and the 2nd one earlier this year I enjoyed building them but I hardly gamed on them i mainly use the ps5
Plus ideally all the PS exclusives will come to Steam in 2-3 years, which is fine. I waited 4 years for Ghost of Tsushima on PC
i built my pc for $800 a few months ago and it can run absolutely anything better than a ps6 will because all consoles launch with outdated hardware
Since everything gaming is so expensive now I wait for games to be under 30$. I’m tired of getting ripped off. I can wait 1-2 years for an amazing single player game.
I'm not even buying them anymore. I just wait til they drop on PS+ or Gamepass.
@@GoodBoyGoneDadsame here or I pick it up on sale for like 10-20. I just got around to playing the Witcher 3 finally because it was on sale for like $10 not long ago with all the dlc included
r/patientgamers rise upppp
Nah you’re just cheap, wages, while slow and definitely not enough, are rising so that 60 dollar game is costing less proportionally than it used to
Plus
they know micro transactions are the real money maker so losing money on the base game is fine, hell even make them free like Fortnite
@@HEXAN-SC gobble gobble. How's it taste?
Hot tip: Whenever a company creates an artificial shortage of their product, its probably for a reason.
If Sony launches a base model console at 800 they are have completely lost their shit 😂
799 will be the price we all now it
I’ll guess either $699 or $799 for base model. We’ll check back in 4-5 years from now.
Realistically, it's probably around 600 to 700
I think the real answer is that there is something in the contract that makes it really hard to get a deal done. An example is that if they wanted to do a remaster, FromSoft has to do it, but Sony has to put up all the money first or something like that.
This was actually a good take haha
Bro as someone who is apart of this starving Bloodborne fandom, your huffing copium, Sony ain’t touching Bloodborne ever again 😭, all we can do is Cope
800 dollars? i doubt it when they see sales of the ps5 pro tbh.
The pro is for a niche market. As long us about 10% of PlayStation players buy it is a success. I guarantee its going to increase because of gta 6
Nah, they just don't care about it. One of their CEOs is so delusional, he actually thinks horizon (which he made) is the MAIN playstation franchise
@@fury7912 Horizon is so trash i am sick of hearing people praise it so much

Wait, they think Horizon is their console franchise over GOW and TLOU?

Goddamn. That's such a poor decision on their part. I didn't even realize they'd do something like that 🤦🏿♂️
I’d pay big bucks for BloodBorne 2 ngl
Bro doesn't miss.
This is a joke, right?
💯
I'll be strong enough to not buy it if it's a remake. A sequal tho, shiii
Im not gonna buy it for 900, im gonna buy a console with other games that interest me, im not even gonna jump to the ps6 for at least a year or two after release and even then only if they bave plenty of ps6 exclusive games that i want. I already have a huge backlog i can work on instead
Personally, if it’s BBII, I’ll buy it. If it’s a remake, and I have a character w all the Chalice Dungeon stuff I might need (which I plan on), I won’t. I love Bloodborne as is, fps and all
I agree, not with the price but with the saving for next gen.
10 year anniversary is in March - remaster and PC release will drop then.
Unfortunately it might be too late for many as it seems emulstion will be a reasonable alternative by then.
I highly doubt it. It’s not a console seller. It’s only sold 7 million copies since release. Compare that to something like Horizon that sold 24 million in less time or spider-Man that sold 50 million copies. I’m sorry as much as I love bloodborne it’s not something that’s gonna sell consoles. So your theory doesn’t hold water.
You put it on steam and I'll give ya $60. Don't, and I might just have to learn how to sail ☠️
Never bought a PS4/5 for Bloodborne 1, I ain't buying a PS6 for Bloodborne 2/Remake.
As a relatively new souls player who got introduced to the genre with Sekiro and Elden Ring, I have been holding on playing Bloodborne for the longest time in the hopes that they might release atleast a 60fps patch/Remaster if not a full fledged Remake.
I finally gave up on a 60fps version and bought the game disc last week. I can't wait anymore. Hopefully they will give me a 60fps patch on the PS5 in the future I don't wanna buy an entire new console to play 60fps Bloodborne
Why not just play it at 30fps? I mean its still seen as one of the best games ever made at 30fps. I dont really see a problem with it.
@@GameTimeNLL bruh I said above that I bought the game last week and plan on playing it on default 30fps. I ain't waiting for the 60fps I'm tired honestly I don't think we will see a 60fps before 2028
Why not play it on PC at 60fps?
That’s far fetched they could have done that with the PS5
It does make some sense since Demon souls remake was a launch title for PS5 and was 2 generations old by that point. So would Bloodborne. But on the other hand Fromsoftware hype is at all time high because of Elden Ring and the DLC so why not do it sooner rather than later. They did a PS5 version of Zero Dawn for some reason.
Oh damn, didnt think about that hahaha mans right on the money. Also the "concord tax" comment has me fughin howling with laughter.
Yup I've been saying that for awhile, not too sure about the $800 part though that's a bit steep 😂
I think Luke is legit on to something here!
Sony and Xbox is so out of touch now. I’m so glad I went back to pc gaming.
Im so thankful someone else thinks it’ll be a launch title cause it makes sense, and given the streak they’re starting to go on with these sequels and remasters gives me hope
But I’m barely fazed by the 800 dollars, yeah it gets meh when you have to pay 70 a year just to go online, but it’s not bad, a base model iPhone 16 costs that much. It’s definitely a stretch if you’re paying rent but not awful especially since it’ll be something you have for years, I still have my original PS5 from like 2021 thousands of hours on it so yes it was worth it at 550 and would be at 800
at 800 - $900 your in the beginning of PC territory, like you can get a lower end prebuilt system for that, or for a few hundred more you can get a solid mid tier build. They can't possibly think they can push console prices into the PC range can they? like why buy the console at that point?
I hate how right you are. argh. I dont want to believe it.
You just sold me on the PS6 with that statement 😂
Damn. Concord tax goes crazy
Yeah,that won't work on ME!😎
well gamers time to go touch grass I rather let video game industry die then pay 800 for a plastic box
That actually... Makes a lot of sense.
Didn’t they say there was a legal problem with bloodborne because they don’t fully own it? That’s what I heard but I don’t know.
No. From soft said, Sony owned the IP. That's why from soft cant release a patch for 60fps since most of their games already has 60fps patch. So it sonys end. But I believe sony is remaking bloodborne for said ps6 as launch title hence no 60 fps patch.
The reason is licensing issues between Sony and FromSoft, and I doubt either will relent
And it will be digital download only 😂
I think you’re giving the company that just lost 400 million dollars a lot of credit.
Well I can tell you one thing if they end up doing that I won't be buying consoles no more because it's getting to the point where it's like it's literally cheaper to just go buy a PC in the long run then it is to continuously try to keep up with buying consoles and buying games that are half made that aren't even that good when you can play that same game on PC when it gets ported like I'll keep a PS4 or my current ps5 for when I want to play certain games like bloodborne but I'm not going to buy no new system for like one game that's just stupid
i was honestly surprised we had the technology for ps5 to release when it did. if they tru to make another console before hardly releasing any games for the 5 thatll just be sad.
I'll remember this video when the PS6 comes out. So accurate
You know me all too well, Luke 😂😅
Fromsoft still has to agree that they will make bloodborne 2. They’re not Sony’s employee. I believe the reason is more financial. They know how big the sales will be but it’ll only happen once. So they must first secure a recurring revenue sources which is sequels. But as mentioned fromsoft is not their employee nor are they in need of a publisher (they are now self published). In other words, fromsoft doesn’t need anyone to tell them to make certain games. Although bloodborne is a SONY ip, fromsoft dev has to agree to make Sony richer by creating recurring revenue for them, WHICH is a horrible business. So Sony is crunched in between. If they release bloodborne remaster, they won’t have any huge wild card left. In order to create more revenue stream, fromsoft has to create them but they probably won’t. Because now they can make more money by not being exclusive.
Bloodborne is one of my favorite games. No surprise here. But I like them on ps4 choppy graphics and frame rates. It adds to the Victorian shitty-ness. So idc about the remaster really. If it came out around the time between Elden ring dlc, definitely would’ve been hyped but it doesn’t matter now. The window for me is closed. Just as I never cared about demons souls and probably never will because I’ve missed the initial window of playing that on ps3.
So if they were actually strategizing as you suggest, Luke. It makes more sense for them to release the port now and remake on ps6 so that people playing now will have some fondness for it to be incentivized to get it on ps6. If not, it’ll be too late and i don’t think Sonys tone deaf about it. They just don’t have a choice. That is the nonexistent recurring revenue.
Honestly, with how Apple has been pricing their VR stuff, i could totally see Sony looking at those prices and wanting a piece of it. It's already $800 for the PS5 Pro if you want all of its parts. I could easily see them charging $900-1000 for the PS6.
It sucks bc you’re probably right, and I will pay anything
so excited to play bloodborne trilogy in 2045 on my pc
lol this is exactly my thought last year ago when they announced tlou1 remake
demon souls remake is dirty launch so many soulsborne fans want to play it yet scalpers is our hardest boss than consort promise radhan
It'd work on me tbh...
Outside of the dark souls brotherhood bloodborne just isn’t that important. It didn’t sell as well as most of their other exclusives, including days gone, so they’re not too worried about it, and may eventually remake/remaster it.
One Google search shows that you're off by like 140,000 copies as far as your Days Gone comparison is concerned
Maybe a year ago I would but I'm not buying another console anytime soon, even if bloodborne does release on ps6
We putting people on the moon and have all these advancements and technology was supposed to be smaller and cheaper.
I might not ever get a PS5 cuz I don’t know if it’s worth it to get the regular when there’s a pro version out, but I’m not paying $700 for the PS5 Pro.
I think it's sadder. It will be a remaster
Unless my ps5 bursts into flames and stops working, I’m all set.
DS1 remaster was not all that well received iirc
DeS remake was well received but quickly settled down into "yeah it's fine but it is just Demons Souls again"
I wonder if it's had a chilling effect on Fromsoft to go through with remakes/remasters for other IPs.
That’s kind of why I’m somewhat afraid of a Bloodborne remaste/remake. Dark Souls Remastered was criticized because it changed some art direction from the original (mainly lighting, and some iconic props such as the bonfires), and Demon’s Souls Remake changed the art direction even more.
I just want a solid port of Bloodborne as is with higher resolution and higher framerate. I don’t want any enemy design or colour grading changes that affect the mood of the game.
If that is true, it is sad that they can't make an original game, but depend on remasters/remake just to get you to buy the game and the system. If they want to get you to buy the PS6, they need a game that 90% of gamers like. Not only Playstation fans but other gamers on other platforms. I am not against Bloodborne, but looking as a business, you need to focus on a game that might appeal to broader audience. Still have Bloodborne on the system but choose a original game for release.
Sony is so full of greed as of late its making me really consider getting a pc now
I'll just wait 20 years and emulate.
Wow, people really be thinking they’ll ever revive Bloodborne, I just want fromsoft to make whatever they’re making, I’ll probably enjoy it
Meanwhile, I’m still over here enjoying Demon’s Souls on my PS3
I think the main reason we don’t have Bloodborne remake is that all the funding money for that project went to Concord, you know, the future of Sony Gaming.
Is it ps6 time already? But ps5 barely have any games that are not remake, remaster, or multiplat 😮
They will see how the ps5 pro sells, they will backtrack on price. Or face stock drops. See Ubisoft
Hopefully Bluepoint is working on it🙏
Goddamnit I hate that you might be right!
As much as I want Bloodborne, I ain't paying 900$ for a console. I could make a budget PC nearly or even just as good as a console for that much money.
If that price tag is 900 for a console, ima just go the PC route, im not spending that much for any console
Consoles nowadays are sold at a loss, it doesn't make sense to sit on it to get them to upgrade to a new console. Tho I wouldn't be surprised if the ps5 pro gives them a profit tho
I think they're sitting on it because they think they're not gonna profit that much
I feel like the ps5 has been out for like a year or 2. I can’t believe we are already talking about ps6. Is this the shortest console generation?
I mean, considering almost every game this generation has been cross generation, im not worried. Ill just not get a ps6 and every game that comes out will also be for my console if this last generation is anything to go off of
I love watching silent playthroughs of exclusive games. Costs me nothing.
Bloodborne is my favor game of all times but I ain't buying antoher console just for one game
Honestly no matter what games come out during ps6 launch I'm getting it
Doubt it'll be 800 bucks. More like 600 but yeah they're definitely sitting on the remake
Yeah, i want more Bloodborne, but not like that.
There’s no such thing as a console war anymore. When both consoles start placing their exclusives on multiple platforms.
As an adult, I don't have the time or energy to want to play a souls like game anyways, I wish I did but nope
Might also explain why we havent had actual backwards compatibility for PS.
Its a shame we live in a world where despite people being upset at a corporation theyll still line up for the next thing despite the corporation never changing. The only time Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo is "generous" is when their console is doing terrible.
If they make Bloodborne 2 or Remake I'll happily buy a 900 dollar console.
I will for any device, if they make the god damn games. Where are the ps5 games?
Miyazaki will never make another exclusive game
That's exactly what i always said
I just want to remind people that there exist a concept called "willingness to pay".
Sure, sony can charge $1000 for the console and BB remake. But how many people would pay that much money?
I'd rather sell it at $300 to 20 people rather than $1000 to 3 people.
Lol nah
That plan worked like crap when it came to Demon's Souls remake
Well i won't.
Haven't bought a Soul's game after trying dark souls 2
I genuinely dont believe they will ever make another bloodborne
If the ps6 is 800 dollars without a disc drive that would suck
Big understatement
It probably will. And i wouldnt be surprised if it will be digital only.
@@GameTimeNLL i really hope they decide to not go for an all digital future 😕, its nice to be able to use discs
Don’t put ideas in there head!!
Na, people who come from AC games and other major AAA titles want open-world. They require open-world. They aren't paying $800 to play a linear game that doesn't allow them to avoid enemies via a magic horse.
ER is way more accessible and attractive to a wider range of gamers for this reason alone. Imo
This is the same company that put their faith in Concord. Assuming they have any kind of intelligent plan involvine Bloodborne Remake or Bloodborne 2 is bold lol
Damn this industry needs to implode. ASAP
Jokes on them, the last console I had is a PS2, also I have nowhere near enough patience for Soulsborne games.
bro playstation needs to start making more games the only ps5 exclusive i can think of the top of my head is spiderman 2. we need a new god of war a new ghost of game which we are getting and a new last of us
I would buy PS5 pro and PS6 in bungle if that box would have Bloodborne II on the cover.
