Mesmerizing playing and luscious tone. What's not to like?

This Tokai will be a fine vintage guitar in 5 years. Because in the 80's Burst already existed as a vintage guitar.150 grade means 150,000 yen in Japan. In Japan today, a Les Paul Tribute is 150,000 yen.I also know the goodness of the current Les Paul and the Les Paul Studio around 2000.The Tokai has always been great, the build and sound are a little more solid than the Gibson but vintage. By the way, the price of the Les Paul Standard rose to 350,000 yen, 1.5 times what it was a few years ago. I'm thinking of getting a high grade Tokai LS next.

I have a Gibson LP Standard 1990 and Gibson LP Tribute Studio 2011. The LP 1990 and this Tokai were my main guitars for gigging but the Tokai LS150 always had some extra mojo somehow! I'd often leave the Gibson at home and take my 2008 Tokai LS80 out to a gig instead. The two Tokai's are just awesome guitars.

What do you have in the neck? What do you like to pair with the SH-5? I'm looking to put a Custom in the bridge of my singlecut, but not sure I like the 59 in the neck. It's nice, but I kinda like the Dimarzio 36th Anniv PAF more. I'm also looking at the Duncan Alnico Pro II.

Seymour Duncan SH-14 Custom 5 Alnico V is much better sounding bridge pickup

I thought the tokais were from around 80. Also known as the golden years. If you like those, you need to get your hands on a 79 to 81 LS-80 or LS-150.
