One of the leaders¹ of a NATO member nation should volunteer to remain at a designated facility that has been vacated by all remaining personnel, while Russia fires an Oreshnik missile at it, establishing whether or not Putin's claims that have been met with skepticism are valid. Should none of the leaders accept this challenge then NATO should be declared a flatulent organization whose pronouncements are meaningless and may safely be ignored. ¹ Without doubt everyone of these heads of state will step forward. All of them volunteering presents an unacceptable risk in the extremely unlikely event that the missile gets through. So President-elect Trump should be given the privilege of selecting one of their number among whom is included Biden who remains president of the USA until Trump assumes office. Zelensky, not being part of NATO, nor having been reelected, is exempt. When Oreshnik fails to reach its target Russia will see the futility of continuing the conflict bringing the war to an end that same day. The volunteer’s heroism will have been well served.
@@ChrisHarding-lk3jj All the more reason for Biden to volunteer. Nothing to fear? Poking the bear comes with risks. WWII: Germany with its splendid discipline, superior training and state-of-the-art at that time, weaponry, and European success under its belt, was certain that nothing could possible go wrong. P.S.: Some of the 1940s technology that Germany possessed was so advanced that to this day, three-quarters of a century later, remains classified.
The people of Russia will regret what Putin has done to their country.
