True story: Today I was talking to a guy on discord who was in Israel we were casually talking suddenly an alarm went of a siren and he left his pc and ran to a bunker from his mic I heard siren noices and red alert noices when he came back he told me he was from southern Israel and Hamas rockets were being fired on his area that is why he ran to safety he told me it was happening every 20-25 minutes as he was telling me all this stuff again the siren went off and he ran. He came and told me these attacks were frequent and if he suddenly gets disconnected means a rocket has hit his home. After all this stuff this he was sitting in his home with his cats and was playing online games with me hats off to Israel's they have balls of Steel he don't fear their death they will do everything to live in Israel. I found him in a discord server called 'English' he was sitting in vc ' Tc-2' his name was 'Davishfire' if you don't believe me check these details.

They're treated by the armed forces environment as something on a pedestal. They also exercise (unjustly so) targeted influence via their spouses on careers of young officers and soldiers (should their paths cross), it's an open secret and hence most maintain a respectful distance from them which adds to their ersatz (false authority). Result is an _entitled_ person.
This influence they have on careers of defense personnel is real but undocumented, at least formally.
Finally, when they or their daughters step out into the civilian world (read real world) they have plenty of women centric laws, corporate/workplace practices to continue the bubble which becomes ossified, thereby shaping the buzzword _empowered._ Since they have lived amidst leadership based group they're also very adept at gas lighting, virtue signalling and nullifying any common sense arguments against their behavior (read leadership qualities turned on its head)
As with any organization there is always a however. Not all are like the ones mentioned earlier, some are dignified, genuinely confident minus the bubble, highly principled and want to get on with their lives. And not all people in supervisory positions so susceptible to _influences._ Just remember that any _however_ argument is a minority.
Armed forces are a massive entity and there will always be caricatures like a Ms. Bhaskar or a Ms. Pillai (SSR fame). They may have some autonomy of administration but none from social changes by way of _progressive laws._
Although they as a group will deny any similarities with common society up to the _nth degree_ barring when they need an excuse. It can be attributed to human tendency not ethos of an organization.
It's a matter of debate as to who shapes what ethos or vice versa.

I randomly came across this, and can say the commentary was quite balanced. You were able to draw parallels between the Kashmir issue and this. Also, its important to bring to the spotlight the ignorance of celebrities when they choose to comment on issues that they have no education in. You both also covered the middle east politics really well.
