My husband and I did the pull out method for YEARS - probably 8 or so? And once we decided we wanted to get pregnant we were successful the first time. And for all 3 of our pregnancies. When it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be ❤️ so happy for you!!

So glad you only had morning sickness or feeling sick during the first trimester only. I so wish mine was like that, I was sick day in and day out for the whole 9 months with my son. It sure can be rough on our bodies and a lot to handle but seeing that child at the end is worth it. I'd much rather go through labor and delivery or the 9 months of torture. Congrats again girl!

My husband and I did the pullout method for years without getting pregnant, the one time we tried, I also laid with my legs up in the position you explained for 30 mins or so and then bam, pregnant immediately 🤣 congratulations girl!

I feel you with the endocrine stuff. I’m 33 now and at 14 was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, hypopituitarism, addison’s disease (adrenal insufficiency), low gh (growth hormone), anemia, and then later in life amenorrhea (no period ever which leads to infertility). My endocrine issues are severe enough that I’m now disabled. So girl I feel ya.
Congratulations Kayleigh, what a journey!! So happy for you! Definitely keep checking your tsh levels regularly with an endocrinologist. I had a bad experience and was over medicated with levothyroxine for so many years by my last doctor. Now I’m hyperthyroidism and it’s so hard to get back to hypothyroidism without the crazy treatments. My mistake was never going to an endocrinologist my whole life and trusting a doctor, so you’re on the right track!

My first pregnancy was the exact same as yours! From the ttc to current. I remember saying I'm never getting pregnant again but here I am pregnant with baby #2 a year later 🤣 total different pregnancy too. Literally no sickness or feeling that I'm pregnant!
In California you can get about an extra month off but without pay for mat leave. It essentially secures your job. You should look into it 🤗 Also, you can take 4 weeks disability before labor . ( right before you give birth)
I found out I had hyperthyroidism when we were tryint to get pregnant. It causes infertility bc we also never used bc and it was so strange. When I got on meds it happened so quick. It is scary but it really didn’t affect the baby or pregnancy. Deft took a few months pp to act up again on top of pp it did feel like my world was crumbling. The nice thing is that you get more ultrasound and NSTs.
As you take care of others, please do not forget to take care of yourself (I just felt like you might need that reminder, especially as a nurse). My best wishes are with you and your baby. Stay vigilant on the hypothyroid issue, and this is to anyone reading through the comments, if you always feel tired, you need to see a doctor. It doesn't matter what people say to you or even if your doctor says there's nothing wrong (just as there are competent doctors, there are also terrible ones), listen to your gut.

Just a month prior to finding out I was pregnant my TSH levels were normal (from routine blood work with my annual physical), but shot up once I found out I was pregnant. It’s insane how much the body changes and can definitely be scary but just know you’re not alone! 🩷

Girl I wanted a sagi baby too so bad since my bday is in Dec but we didn’t expect i would get pregnant on the first try and that I told my husband I couldn’t wait any longer I just wanted a baby lol!! So we have a Scorpio baby boy and he is incredible ❤ Stay healthy and happy!!
