Very instructive, I'll pay more attention to my jaw position. I tend to push jaw forward as I enter high clarion/altissimo (to avoid biting and clearer attack). I also engage longitudinal jaw movements for (jazz) scoops.
Hello Fabian, thank you for this video! I recently realised that have unconsciously developed the jaw forward position as an overall embouchure especially in the higher registers, and many sources online told me that this was incorrect. I thought that this was a problem that I needed to fix and was worried about relearning my whole embouchure when I found this video. Your logic is clear and helpful, but I have just one question- won't playing in this over extended position for long periods of time create jaw joint (TMJ) related pain?
İ have one question about embouchure. Will we push lower teeth forward to produce sound or just use upper teeth lower lip and upper lip? Which one is correct? Thx.
@@burakmentes hello, the entire jaw should move forward. So the bottom lip and the bottom teeth. They will move further down the reed. The upper teeth and lip should remain in neutral position like before. So only lower lip chin and jaw move forward.
My lower terth back of my top teeth but when i open my mouth lower and bottom teeth become equal. İ watched your previous video but it is hard me to make jaw forward than opening mouth to make them equal. Everyone is differebt anatomy. Thx your video
@@burakmentes yes in the end its all about whats the most comfortable and freeing for each individual player!
Thanks for watching
why am i watching this at 2 am when i have 5 tests next week and i dont even have a clarinet ToT
