Hi Teoh, another great review. Never realised that companies forced review units to be passed around between reviewers! You would think they would want tech reviewers such as yourself to get a pristine unit but I realised when you reviewed another unit the other day and it already had screen scratches that this may be the case.
I don't mind used review units, especially when they are going to be returned anyway. Recently reviewed a used Wacom Movink that had scratches on the matte glass. It's information I can tell my audience because I won't purposely scratch the matte glass to test how durable it is.
Very good review. Amazing to watch reviews of desktop monitors, too 🙂 . Specially those focusing on professional color. I see that this one has some lighting uniformity issues, as you measured (something that sadly a lot of reviewers don't care to measure). It is a constant problem from all what I gathered in most "non-eizo" monitors. It is the one big issue why I have not got yet a Benq from the SW series (100% Adobe RGB), as a secondary monitor, as I find a problem having uniformity issues while illustrating, specially with works for print that need a lot of accuracy. The _glare_ ( 2:26 ) is a bit too aggressive in this one. They did not manage to stop the reflections too much. But.. I guess if it's too good for the budget one could play with the lighting position in the room. But glare has been always a pain, I try to avoid it in every device. If the 5k one has less glare, that could be a nice purchase (I believe there are problems having two very different resolutions with a multiple display setup, though...particularly my current 1200p (eizo) combined with a 5k. 🤣But I think it's doable). In most reviews I tend to see the advertised specs from the vendors a bit too optimistic. I am not surprised that it's listed 99% Adobe RGB and then one gets 92% after calibration (I guess still fine for many workflows). With higher end brands (wacom displays, eizo, etc) it seems be less of an issue, but for a hefty sum, large price gap.
The resolution mismatch of 1200P vs 5K is going to very noticeable if you have them side by side. Their 5K display made all my low resolution wallpapers look bad.
This ASUS is not in the same tier as the Samsung Viewfinity S9. Or are you referring to the ASUS PA27JCV 5K display? If so, I recommend the ASUS because there's coil whine noise from the Samsung. And the ports on the Samsung are not facing the correct direction.

please try redmagic nova stylus, I have been looking for a video like that. sadly, I could not find any review about it
Heyy, thanks for the review. Do you suggest this one or Samsung Viewfinity S9? Both of these are sold at the same price in my country.

@@teohontech7141 I actually meant PA279CRV, the model you've mentioned not on sale in Turkey. In this case, do you recommend Samsung?
