    Awesome vid! I'm mainly trying to think about why you'd want to include a surge protector before it meets the solar generator. Doesn't that Bluetti have it's own way of protecting the power? On my Jackery 300 the DC is the only regulated output. Maybe if it's not "regulated" we can have appliances/outlets at risk? I also wonder about using an outlet with a GFCI breaker on it, I hear if it's first on line it will protect the other outlets if they are connected to it. But heck, I'm still not sure on what I need to be using! I'm thinking about having 2 different 2 gang boxes. A LED Dimmer that's ALSO connected to another dimmer, a regular outlet and for the other location- a USB and regular outlet (maybe I can get away with just 1 box and a crafty output that includes both). Still not sure if I should have these boxes wired in parallel, series, or apart, but I do believe I know that it should be hooking up to my A/C 110 like you do with yours, so I won't wire them to my DC fuse box (blue sea systems).

    • @JonniesJourney
      @JonniesJourney  3 года назад +2

      I only use the surge protector to get a clean quick setup. one cord (the surge protector cord) gets plugged into the Bluetti and when I am on shore that cord gets unplugged from Bluetti and into short plug. One and done instead of 5 cords. It is more protection but the Bluetti does have its own protection. I am not an electrician but believe you are correct GFI on one and the rest are protected. You going to 3 way the dimmers? I thought about doing a dimmer but went with the remote LED's instead. Honestly I really like them and use them 75% of the time instead of the puck lights I have installed. also LED puck lights are known to flicker so don't go cheap. Best of luck on the project and thanks for watching.

      @@JonniesJourney do you have the maxxair fan hooked up into the 12v plug on the Bluetti that looks like a cigarette light? I'm going to go get a fantastic fan installed at camping world but I'm not sure how to tell them how I want it to be connected to the Bluetti. Do I tell them to put a 12v wire connector to the fan wires so can plug it into the Bluetti cigarette lighter looking connection or other? Do you have a link to the 25amp adapter that goes into the Bluetti? Do I have to have a fuse panel?Thank you for your help. Safe travels.

      @@funzeevanzee if you have the AC200 it has an aviator plug 12v/25 amp. I did a video on wiring a fuse panel to the Bluetti. I would suggest that if you are going to have any other 12v components (lights, usb ports, water pump ect). If you are not ready to do the rest of the wiring you can just put the aviator plug or cig plug on the end of the fan wires. Maxair works much more efficiently if you have another window open to pull air in from. You will save a lot of your generator power by running fan at 50% rather than high speeds. Also maxair fan has a bit of noise while driving, the insulation inserts for the fans are a huge help. Just a few lessons I have learned.

      A big deciding factor would be how much space do you have. The all in one does not take up as much space.
      All in one is very easy setup and if problem to diagnose.

    In case no one else mentioned it - if you are using an extension cord method - make sure it is a heavy duty extension cord. Not one of those puny extension cords.

    Wondering if you know about the Bluettie AC300 - I'm trying to learn and am brand new to all of this. I am currently converting my 2015 Ford Transit to a Tiny Home/Office. I will be using the following items
    500w Desktop computer (2-4 hrs/day), and charging cell phones, cameras, laptop, dry flush toilet.
    12v DC Fridge
    12v DC Dometic A.C.
    12v DC Maxx Air Fan 7000
    12v puck lights (4)
    12v (?) water heater and aggregator(?)
    Also would like to be able to charge from DC/DC van battery, maybe that DC Charging Enhancer.
    So my question - do you think the AC300 with 2 B300 with a 400w Solaria monocrystalline solar panel is doable? Is this practical? Will this recharge properly with this kind of set up. OR AM I WAY OFF?
    Thanks.

      Robert I do not want to steer you wrong but from my experience with the solar generators I feel you will be fine running the appliances mentioned except which dometic AC units. 500W computer, waterheater and AC is really gonna work hard on that stored power so be careful from dust to dawn. I have 600 watts of solar and am always charged by noon or 1pm on sunny days. but... I am not pulling the power you plan on pulling. I isolated my water heater and only turn it on for showers. Running water heater, AC and computer all at the same time would be my main concern. My only change to your setup would be to add a solar panel otherwise wow you are gonna have a nice office/home.
