Kathy had a man making dinner for her every night and then when he proposed for the second time said "i could never make that kinda decision on an empty stomach" like damn girl knows what she wants
The Sims 1 was amazing keeping your sims alive & not even happy, just NOT super pissed was the challenge 😂 in the original sims, I remember trying so hard to have a romantic relationship with another sim & sometimes it just did not work no matter how hard you tried which is so much more realistic..meanwhile in the Sims 4 you’re one selfie away with a stranger from woohooing in the shower lolll
I remember when I thought this game was the Cutting edge of gaming haha. The graphics were amazing back when I was a kid.

i really miss the lifetime or longterm relationship bars from the sims 1 and 2 :( it really added a much more realistic approach to relationships ! feelings take time to manifest, not just a couple pictures and a wolf whistle and suddenly you're ready to woohoo... actually, i think i miss everything from the sims 2 :((((((
on another note i haven't seen anyone manage a sims needs as well as you have, this was such a great video as always ! :)
i remember proposing to other sims in this game was brutally hard
you have to make sure the other sim is in the PERFECT mood or else they just reject you

@@yenisoediro Ha, That sure would be a challenge. Sims 2 itself is quiet difficult!
@@LuluLinn been there and ohh boyy, hella diapers and bottles on the floor, potty is leaking everywhere, babies and toddlers crying, my sim went crazy and so am i 😭😭😭

There is a way to see how many days you've played in the sims 1! Just click on the amount of simoleons and you can see the "days since move in".
Oh my goodness the nostalgia!! All those sims 1 sounds bring back so many good memories
I loved this. So fun to see how hard and surprising the Sims 1 is. Its almost like its a game.
It's really important that the sim is almost in perfect mood and the relationship is 100% in both bars, so you can ask them to marry and they will (usually) accept it.
There's also a spell called Get Happy which makes all of the sim's needs go up and it's easier to propose to them.
Personally, I used a spell specifically to marriage because it was impossible for me to marry anyone freely lol 😭
Anyways, great video as always! TS1 brings me a lot of nostalgic memories of my childhood ❤️
I was literally just thinking about this the other day. I remember playing the sims 1 and trying to propose and they would be like “I can’t make a decision like that on an empty stomach” 😑😂
@@devinburrell5879 YES!!! This message would pop up every time I proposed to them, so I got tired and searched for the spell 😭😭

I remember being young and playing the Sims 1 on PC and getting SO MAD that I could never make the sims I wanted to be married actually get married because it was just too hard for me back then. Eventually I'd just get so fed up trying to live the normal life I planned I'd start throwing parties and build a pool and take all the doors away from my house and wait until the neighbors all got in that pool and kill them. Or I'd just get mad at the couple who refused to like each other even a little bit and I'd purposely start a fire and burn one or both of them. So many Sims died in my games because apparently it takes THIS long to romance a sim in the Sims 1.
I wish family friends worked similarly in Sims 4 as they do in Sims 1 - I know it technically makes more sense that you need to introduce your partner to your family and friends etc, but it’s just so annoying when trying to plan events that can only have one host.

As someone who's only played TS4, seeing TS1 gameplay is always interesting. idk i you've done comparisons in TS2 and 3 yet, but I'd love to see those too
I never really got the chance to play sims 1 on computer but one time. After that one time i was hooked! I got it for gamecube and made my addiction even worse. 😂. 3 generations of sims later and I'm STILL hooked. I enjoyed your video and your accent is cute.

This game absolutely brings me a lot of nostalgic memories of my childhood ❤ The sound of the TV and the danger sound is so familiar to me. And the red wallpaper with tiger print and the heart bed! And the control panel was so simple.
This is the first time I've seen this game in years. Triggered something in my brain seeing downtown too. What a throw back
the thing about the sims 1 is that it never stops surprizing you, i remember i went on a date and it went well and the nex day the girl brought me some chocolates and i was shocked

Great video as always 😊 ! And if you ever want to see how many days it took to do something in Sims 1: click on your current accumulated Simoleons and you will see (amongst other info) "Days since moved in". Helps me a lot for rotational gameplay.

I love the sims one, the best way to get someone to accept marriage is to feed them, make sure they use the toilet and then make sure they have their fun go up and then do either romance actions or try and woohoo them lol
Taking them on vacation is also a really easy way to build their relationships :)
What I have noticed about the main difference between the Sims 4 and Sims 1? Beauty. It might be easier to build relationships in the Sims 4, but there are numerous things that don't make sense in both games. At least the Sims 4 gives you some clues as to what is going on, though. LOL.
I played thousands of hours of sims1. Getting into a romantic relationship was so difficult. It was hard enough to even keep Sims alive and bills paid! Getting to the woohoo was a challenge in itself.
I'm getting some serious Groundhog Day vibes from this.

Did you download this game from a website? If so, can you use 1 and 2 neighborhood? I got the complete collection on a website but could only use one of the two neighborhoods
