He gave his life for another. Can’t get any more biblical than that! He’s an angel! Btw, I’m partial to veterans and u put your own life in jeopardy to protect all Americans! That makes u an angel too! THANK U‼️✌🏻😎
One of the BEST lyrics ever written; 🎼 And I might be here forever It ain’t paradise that’s true But it’s a whole hell of a lot better Than the place I sent him to 🎼
When she refers to getting justice from a judge under a seat, she was referring to the pistol. I am a DV survivor. I had a revolver pulled a foot from my head. Next thing I knew was he cocked the hammer and pulled the trigger. He had removed all the bullets but the psychological damage he did to me still affects me 30+ years later. Prior to that he had picked me up by my throat with one hand and was slamming my head into the door frame. All of this was because I had driven his car to work and someone else hit ME! It was not my fault whatsoever but I did pay the price. I was finally able to get away from him and I have been married 30 years coming May 2025. My husband is so understanding and has been so supportive. The incident first mentioned was just one of the things this guy did to me. The psychological abuse was far greater than the physical. Bruises and broken bones healed. But the psychological and emotional abuse never really do.
It takes a special human to sacrifice their life for yours. Hardy is an amazing writer & he thinks outside the box. I love his songs 'Give heaven some hell' & 'A Rock'. Check him out. He's an original & he makes you think.
I live in such a small tight knit community that if anyone was to go to jail for doing what he did here the whole town would be protesting the court for that angel to get out of jail and everyone would toss in money for bail also
I watched an interview with Hardy and he said one of the biggest things that he was most proud of lyrically with this song is the line of Lainey’s “I never thought my day of justice would come from a Judge under a seat” because it has a double meaning… The pistol he used is a Judge revolver (I looked it up afterwards because I always go shooting with my Dad, so I’m a gun nerd 🤓) and it’s the Taurus “Raging Judge Magnum” that is promoted as a self-defense tool against carjacking and for home protection… And he protected himself 1) to the 12 gauge rifle the abuser reached for and 2) to more than likely save her life after a beating went to the next level 😢 Hardy wrote it to also mean, from Lainey’s perspective, that she didn’t expect the Judge that would finally give her justice for all the whiskey scars and mental abuse she suffered to come in the form of a Judge revolver used by a stranger… He sacrificed to save her… As a former veteran - you have done the same… Thank you for your service and sacrifice 🙏🏽
the standard judge revolver was promoted as a self defense gun. the raging judge was not because of its size/weight/and the fact that the only reason people bought it was to shoot the 454 casull round.
I've known too many women who were victims of abusive partners - the lucky ones survived. A co-worker and her children didn't. It's a powerful song and if it deters or even makes one abuser think twice . . . Thanks for playing this & your comments.
I first heard of Hardy and Lainey when I was watching the CMAs a couple years back. They sang this live with a different scene (no prison). It hit me hard and made me an instant fan of both. Good reaction!
Thank you Lord! He just needed the Lord to forgive him.. while protecting a stranger. (Intense way he protected her…) but I have no judgment in that. He was her angel. He saved her. Which leads me to thank you for your service and loyalty to protecting all of us ❤ Thank you! 💗
Loved you analysis and reaction. Not afraid or embarassed to show emotion is a manly trait and proves you have a good heart. Thank you and thank you for your service.
This is the same as the don't try that in a small town song, doesn't matter who you are, we see something we are going to help!! Doesn't matter what skin color or anything people want to fight over!! I see someone needing help, I'm gonna! And I carry!!
First thing I want to thank you for your service, Military runs in my family, i have a suggestion for you to do an reaction to do Chase Rice song ,"Bench Seat " i highly recommend doing the official music video to fully understand the message
I believe that Hardy's character lost someone he loved to domestic violence. He instantly decided that her only chance was if the b*stard was dead. Whether or not you agree with his method or not he did what so many do. He didn't look the other way. Great reaction and thank you for your service and sacrifice. 😊
I would just like to say, that if a man finds a woman in the middle of the night, running down the road and decides the man who did it needs to go, then it wasnt just a black eye or a bruise. He said bruised and broke from head to toe. So just because we didnt see the trauma, whatever HE saw was so bad there was no other option in his mind. And hes begging the lord for mercy because hes willing to pay societys price for his choice, but you are not supposed to be gods sword of justice. He took the choice from god and hes asking for forgiveness. But to him, hes willing to pay that price as well so that she would be eternally safe from her abuser. And THAT is a true self sacrificing hero. Willing to give up your freedom in this world and possibly your reward in the afterlife.
When the Bible says, "Do not kill!" it means do not lay in wait to murder someone ... do not plan to make someone unalive!!! There are instances where I believe God would understand but that's me ... I don't speak for anyone else! Just wish more people would go out of their way to help others in need ... in whatever form that might take. People don't want to be bothered with other people's problems. There are those few gallant souls left but they're getting harder and harder to come by!

As a DV survivor, he's an angel in my book.
Me too.
Me too.
I'm glad you survived.❣️
Sorry you experienced that.

She's still in the truck. 5 years later.
🤯
He should be awarded a gold medal, instead of going to prison. Our justice system is so twisted.....
I live in such a small tight knit community that if anyone was to go to jail for doing what he did here the whole town would be protesting the court for that angel to get out of jail and everyone would toss in money for bail also
Laying your life down for another is one of the most beautiful things you can do
Its the most honourable thing a person can do
My mom lived through that shit, and as her children we did too and I will tell you with ZERO DOUBTS, that man WAS an angel
I have noticed in movies and tv shows when they are told to wait in the truck/car they never listen. Glad to see someone finally listened.

Its his truck she drives off in!
Awesome reaction. The first time I heard this, I couldn't make it all the way through.
Lainey has some great hits too. 'Watermelon moonshine', 'Things a man ought to know' & 'Grease' to name a few.
That truck is her safe place. I prayed for a safe place and a "hero" to help me 50 years ago. I'm ok now.
Wait in the truck keeps her safe.

As a DV survivor my guilt could never. I wouldn’t have told him where he was for his sake bc he’s an angel….
Really great reaction!!! This video makes it so real... it's very emotional!!!
Thanks for watching

I was in a similar situation but what I was told your nightmare ends tonight. Then I hear the gun shot from the gun in my own hands.
Happy Veterans Day from one veteran to another. New subscriber.
Thanks for the sub 💯
Straight up..I'd tell my daughter the same thing, wait in the truck darlin.
Thank you Lord! He just needed the Lord to forgive him.. while protecting a stranger.

I second that!
Ty for the reaction and for your service. I hope to see you around.
This is based on a true story.

Hardy’s songs make you think!
Everyone seems to miss that at the end of the video; she is in HIS truck. Still waiting in the truck.
Did you happen to notice, she’s still driving the pickup that he picked her up in

Hardy should have starred in “Yellowstone”!
The good Lord sent 1 angel and in 1 night that angel destroyed 185000 enemies of Israel. God Almighty has a breaking point against evil too.

Angel
My mama needed an Angel like this. She was murdered by her husband of 18 months at the age of 52
I could of used him or someone else years ago when I ended up in an emergency room.

Judges just slap there hands sad
It's Gods Dogs
I've been shot stabbed
From my ex. Yes he's a angel
The problem was SHEdidnt shoot him Hardy did. Then he broke in to do it AND shot him in the back so self defense not work
She didn't kill him a stranger killed him. He had nothing to do with it and for all anybody knows she could have been stretching the truth.
