Gosh…that first answer by Michael sums it all up! It’s exactly what I’ve been saying about the band….that they’re giving us a bit of nostalgia with every new record(especially from No More Hell To Pay to The Final Battle), while moving forward with the music so it’s still appealing to new listeners. It’s tough to do…but they have done it for the last almost 10 years. It’s amazing. How does a band create a song like “Yahweh”…an instant modern day Stryper classic….then puts a song like “Near” , which to me is part throwback, part 2022. It’s mind boggling. I’ve bought all those records and I appreciate that they still create quality music for us fans.
The new album is great!! I've listened to it multiple times and will continue to do so.. For the past decade Stryper has put out awesome albums with Fallen being my favorite
Been a fan of Stryper since 1989 as a 13 year old and I've never looked back. First album I bought with my own money was In God We Trust after hearing the title track on a compilation cassette called Hot Metal Summer. From there it was my quest to acquire the back catalog. After that I bought Against The Law when it dropped to round out my Stryper library at the time. I've never made it to a live gig sadly, but I can only imagine how epic it would be and to be filled with the Holy Spirit. God bless Michael, Robert, Oz, Perry, and former bassist Timothy.
I'm going to see them in Hollywood, new album I have it's a great album.. ( s ) salvation ( t ) through ( r ) redemption ( y ) yielding ( p ) peace ( e ) encouragement & ( r ) righteousness !
@@benireges I thought the front half of the album was basically a continuation of their "REBORN" album. The back half was better. I just thought that their last 4 previous releases were much better than this one. The only way I could describe what I didn't like was the riffs were great, but when the verse kicks in it loses the impact of the riff. They don't match and lacked melody unlike the previous releases. It was just ok for me. Which is super hard for me to say since I have been a HUGE fan since 1984. I live and breath Stryper.
@@81artmonk eh i can somewhat agree but i do think the final battle hits a major landmark in production quality, and some of the songs easily beat everything from even the devil believes. However it does not compare to no more hell to pay, fallen, and god damn evil. Those 3 are masterpieces im certain the guys wont ever top
The labels that are given to great bands actually hurt them. Rock is rock. Metal is metal. Country is country. I've never heard of Christian country. Christian rap. So why is STRYPERs version classified as Christian metal
True. But I feel Christian pop and Contemporary music sounds so different compared to the secular stuff- maybe due to the Christian labels/producers? However, the Rock and Hip Hop side can go right along with the secular stuff in quality.
For me, the best so called “hair metal” bands of the 80s are Stryper, Ratt and Dokken, but Stryper is the only one who is still kicking ass on the level that they are.
I’m curious to know if there’s a Christian based music Festivals featuring secular bands that claim to be Christians and also straight up “Christian Bands”?
hunmm there are festivals that have secular groups mixed in as well. Seams like the popular Bands that are Christians put on a quite a large show standing alone like Stryper. Skillet is another group that performs with secular and Christian festivals.
I listened to Stryper as a teen. I'm now a pastor in central Ohio & still like to rock! dave
they are the greatest, hands down.
Greatest band of all time. Keep rocking for the King!
Amen!
Been my favorite band since the 8th grade.

Five awesome Stryper albums in a row since 2013, that's pretty damn impressive now a days.
Do you have a favorite album?
@@effectradio5028 Out of the last 5 Stryper albums I don't have a favorite, I like them all some better than others.
Agreed!
That’s exactly what I’ve been saying. And those 5 albums are QUALITY records. New Stryper classics. They should have been on the Stadium tour.
@@KISStributeNYC97 Yes!

I have said for years that Stryper needs to do an album where they fuse Y&B attack with Soldiers into one album of new material.
Wow! That would be great!
The Final Battle is a fusion of their classical albums with a touch of modern production

Show's that even we Christian folks love to rock out with the likes of Skynyrd and Stryper
