Stryper music is great. Well written, well produced, engineered, recorded and deliverey in-studio, on-stage, in-person, on VHS, they are always top notch. Long live Stryper music.

We metal heads loved our Stryper and we would call MTV to make them play the videos so they had no choice.

I always loved the music of this fantastic group. I had no idea this program existed. The only interview of . Micheal Sweet I knew of was when Stryper was at a brief struggle when Tim left the group. Michael appeared on VH1 as a guest of That Metal Show while he was the new vocalist of the classic rock group Boston.

I miss those days, before I found out the world was a corrupt evil place ran by satanic pedophile freaks. Long live Stryper, a better band now in 2022 than in 1989. Although the EP from 84 is a metal masterpiece! RIP Kyle.....

If you would love to see a great video going through this bands beginning to the break-up to the band to it's return and newer albums it's from a guy named Razor-Fist, one of the things he explained was how in the music industry yeah a Christian metal band was a curious thing but had they taken their talent and added Satan or 666 or worse to it they would have rivaled Motley Crue. They could have been way bigger than they could have made so much more money. At that time I remember the saying in the music industry was if you're so-so when it comes to talent they would join or form a Christian music group because they reward mediocrity. You just have to say the right things and don't break laws. I went to see White Heart when He's Returning and We Are His Hands music videos were getting heavy rotation on Real Videos and Christian radio stations. Geoff Moore and the Distance opened for White Heart I had that LP and had everyone of White Heart sign it. My younger sister loved Geoff Moore so much she was going ga-ga over him. I think she was in the 2nd grade then. Christian churches didn't want the young people listening to Christian Heavy Metal groups. The biggest critic of anyone within the greater Christian community was Jimmy Swaggert who spent hours talking and lambasting Stryper. There were Christians saying their message wasn't strong enough and the music Industry telling them to sing less about Jesus. As in the case of Swaggert and others who's impetus was in getting people to buy their Study Bibles embossed with their name. Or as in like Swaggert his music that was being sold, obviously he didn't like the idea of Christian Heavy Metal to take away his possible income. Although during my time in high school, even by people who walked around the school with a Bible with them. Not one of them had a Jimmy Swaggert T-shirt no matter how restrictive their parents were. Now we know about the Jimmy's. But I don't say this in a way judging whether or not Ha-Shem completely cursed them or to make joy out of their falling. Because everyone has time after time when they can easily fail hopefully their wrong choices, even of those really bad decisions put them in prison there is life after those things. I remember my mom went to an AA meeting because one of her friends asked mom to go. I went with mom and I'll never forget when the night was wrapping up as we got into mom's car she made an epiphany statement that I think is completely amazing for her ways of looking at things when she said. If the church doesn't change to be like that AA meeting then Christian churches will dwindle because people going to them are fake and so many live behind a facade of pretending everyone is okay. Even when their lives are going through hell. And one of those things she said she was talking about people using profanities especially when they're explaining how shitty their week was and how much prayer they needed. As of now I'm noticing churches going through that kind of crises. The one I'm currently going to the staff there has been talking about much needed funds. They're not going to get those by putting rainbow flags outside their churches. If they don't stand for something they'll fall for anything.

I met both Robert and Michael sweet. Michael who you would think Might be conceited was really cool. Robert on the other hand was a complete asshole. You would think someone in a band that sings about God would act more like Jesus. But now a days Jesus is "too liberal" and "woke" for many people so maybe it doesn't matter anymore....

80s metal dated so quickly. There's just something about its sound, it's hard to put your finger on, it just sounds soooo dated. In comparison a lot of 70s and 60s rock still sounds quite fresh, 80s hard rock and metal not so much.
