    Success! Well played with the solution for your tire. Thanks for sharing your trip. I completed the loop nearly 32 years ago and plan to return this summer with two of my daughters. Your video adds to my eager anticipation!

      Wow! That's awesome to hear! Did alot of the sights look familiar from 32 years ago? Heading back with your daughter will be incredible I'm sure.
      While the tire issue was a stress for sure on the first day or so, it ended up being one of our favorite memories. Funny how that goes!
      Thanks so much for the kind comment!

      @@YetiAdventure Yes, some of the sites looked very familiar - the shelter with the carved paddles (I doubt mine is still there!), the chute, and Sandy Lake's unique color. Skipping rocks brought back good memories as a few of the beaches were loaded with perfect rocks for skipping! The bear boxes replaced the food caches in the trees - when I went you had to put up a ladder and carry your food up to the cache and then take down the ladder. I still have some of the original slides my parents took from that trip and you had similar shots of some of the beautiful mountains.
      I'm curious if you found the windsock helpful? Are there any other things you found particularly helpful?
      New sub here. :)

      @@daughterdad007 good question! I think the windsock / parachute sail thing would have been fun and helpful if we had ever encountered any real tailwind... but it was pretty dead calm most days. Issac Lake was a mirror almost the whole time we were on it. It takes up very little space, so it's a low cost experiment to pack.
      Other tips? Haha... don't buy an $80 portage cart on Amazon. 😅
      Comfortable camp chairs are a must.
      Never being in a hurry would be nice too. I wish we had 1 or 2 more days to be honest.
      You are going to have so much fun!

    Great video. I remember you arriving at Isaac. I was setting up camp at site 10. Well done with the wheels. We are doing it again in 2025.

      Thanks so much for your kind words Kathryn! It's genuinely very meaningful to hear things like this and is one of the reasons I love putting these films together. ❤️

      Thanks Alana! Was alot of it familiar to you? I'm jealous you guys did it with no smoke.

      Lots of familiar sections for sure. Especially the colorful rock in the middle of the “rapids”! Hope to do it again some day!! We were so lucky to not have smoke along the circuit, but our entire drive from the Okanagan was super thick smoke… felt a bit claustrophobic at times. I loved seeing all the different camera angles you were able to shoot!!@@YetiAdventure

    I love watching every video involving the Bowron chain. I noticed you guys left the same day as I did. You stayed at Campsite 11 and I was directly across at 12. As I'm watching I see that you had cart problems. I talked to someone at the Chute that had cart problems. Then I ran the chute and the roller coaster and went on my way while someone took a video of me doing it.
    I looked closer at your video and it is me going through the Chute. What are the odds that i am watching a youtube video and end up seeing myself.
    I'm glad the cart hung on until the end. That is one of my biggest fears.
    I've done it 6 times now and it is my favorite place in the world.

    • @YetiAdventure
      @YetiAdventure  8 месяцев назад

      Oh amazing! We absolutely remember you. It was awesome to chat with you a bit and to grab a shot of someone making the chute look so straight forward.
      The cart issues were stressful at the time, but ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. What an incredible place! I'm jealous of how many times you've experienced it.
      Glad you found the video!

      Thanks Richard! I bet it was even better back in the 90's. Even more quiet and remote. How many days did you guys take?

      @@YetiAdventure We had planned to do it in 10 days, but due to bear activity on day 1 we had to delay by a day. They seemed like big days to us at the time. I don't remember seeing many others on the route, but even then they only allowed so many people to start each day.

    Beauty. Seems you had great weather...at least in the shared footage. I'll be doing the circuit this May with 5-friends. Preparing for the worst (cold/wet) but will hope for the best (less cold/less wet). :)

    Great video. Love the underwater shots. We did the same trip in late June 2023. The water was noticeably higher especially in the Cariboo River and man the water was cold. Stayed at many of the same campsites. We hit a lot of wind towards the end of the trip especially in Spectacle Lakes. Had a few more layover days. Awesome trip.

    Great video guys! The bowron is currently top of our paddling list for this summer. I can highly recommend Murtle Lake too if you haven’t done it already. Cheers!

      @YetiAdventure  10 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks a ton Chris! Bowron 100% deserves that spot on your list. Just don't take the same cart as us 😅
      We actually did the north arm of Murtle, but that was like 10 years ago. We're long overdue for a return trip! (Ps: your channel is rad)
      Cheers!

      😂 I love the MacGyver job putting the wheel back on with paracord 🙌🏻
      We did the north arm of Murtle too! Can’t wait to go back and fish the west arm next. Too many trips and not enough days in the year 😅
      Thanks again for all the work you put into making these awesome videos!

      I'm doing Bowron July 1 and then Murtle first week of September. Bowron for 7th time and Murtle for the first. I think we are going to try for Nations Lake First week of August as well. Should be a good summer. As long as Mother Nature keeps calm.

      Thanks so much Dean! It's a far cry from Bikepacking, but an extended canoe trip felt like a great way to mix it up. The ability to take some wine doesn't hurt either! Ha.
