An AMAZING performance of an iconic Dead tune. Best part, other than the incomparable Warren Haynes, is they let PHIL SING!!!!!! Always love when Phil gets to sing!
Reminds me of Crosby, Stills & Nash's 3-part harmonies like these guys did in here. I've seen Haynes, Weir, as well as CSN (but not Lesh) in concert and have met all but not Weir and Lesh. Really impressed by these guys in this video and what a great song!
Who are these guys? This is really good. I listened to several versions and this is one of the best ones. I have never been a Grateful Dead guy, never seen them. I know the guy died. They were always a “stoner band” and I was a “Team Brew” varsity guy. I may have missed out on some good music based on peer group culture. If you listened to the GD you were branded with the Scarlet Letter of “L”. Now all those guys that listened to GF are CEOs and Neuroscientists haha.
This is not the dead. Fucking warren Hayes is NOT in the dead and should never be. Someone please ask him to get off the stage and go back to whatever he was doing before.
Warren Haynes is an unspeakably grand addition to any band
They sound so good, and Warren just rips that solo, so amazing i could listen to this 1000 times and it would still never get old.
Special!!! Oh how I miss going to Grateful Dead Concerts.
RIP JERRY
I miss the old KFOG in San Francisco. Live music, classic tunes, 10 @ 10 and acoustic Sunday. 😢

Saw this iteration of the Dead in Charlotte with my kids. Yeah, Warren is a good addition to any band! Will be seeing him next month!
Just...thanks so much!
Really nice beautiful tribute to Jerry I looked at the pin on Bobs strap and I was like man jerrys smiling down
Ah, the boys are in fine form on this one. Great, tasty chops by Warren, Bobby takes a nice lead, and Phil pulled that bass out of the Rabbit Hole!
Thank You
un vrai régal, j'écoute ce morceau depuis plus de 40 ans
LOVE this!

Erick Fernando no Jerry=no Dead
That bass is playing a Phil Lesh.
What guitar is Weir playing? Jerry used to play it but I can't find any references to it or photos.
Telemorris- Looks like one those Alvarez-Yairi's that he endorses...
Yep it's his sig Alvarez Yairi I do think
Alvarez Yairi WY 1
they wrote plenty of songs that could have hit the top 10, but it sounds like that might have been a good thing that they didn't
Corey taylor does a really good version.
Are the dead??? And are they appreciative for not breathing???
After listening to Bill ickes, sorry it is not the same. Good job though
What the fuck kind of bass is that?
40 years later, and Bob weir still can't play a dead song.
Phil has the ugliest bass known to man
Phil me up! What an ugly ass bass... What the hell is that thing? looks like it would weigh a ton
This is not the dead. Fucking warren Hayes is NOT in the dead and should never be.

Er, it's a Dead song, played well by some good musicians, some of whom were in the Dead. Hope that clears it up
wtf is your problem? warren haynes is awesome and watching him play with the grateful dead is just a wonderful thing
One could argue it's more authentic than deadco
Stop your whining. If you can do better ,prove it. You can't.
