For your second video ever, this is extremely well made!
Trust me, a tutorial is in the works. I just want to get a good amount of quality clips before I post one. I'm a pretty grounded player, so I just don't really go for it that often. Sadly university's been getting the best of me so I also haven't been able to play much RL.
Don't worry though! I'm still as hyped about this mechanic as I've ever been and I want to get that tutorial out somewhere in the next few months. Stay tuned!

@@kawfeeYT I didn't quite understand how it is different about a normal wall setup. Are you not required to do a flip reset if you time the jump off the wall right?
the evolved version looks terrifying i couldnt imagine trying to guard and air dribble and they pull out a dodge
I posted all the different lix jumps years ago, even the no dodge version. You can get a lix reset by just jumping if you time it right. I'll unprivate videos about the no dodge lix reset so you can have a look, some of them have controller overlay.

ngl i think the main reason it didnt really appear in pro/high level play isnt only how difficult it is, but how slow it is. it's just so much quicker to go for a reset in that fast of play

yall needa watch the end, the refined version isnt slow.
The main reason it doesn't appear in pro play is because you can almost never use it. How often do you get the chance to do a wall setup while the ball is actually rolling up the wall and still that low on the wall when you get to it in 3v3? Almost never, let alone pro 3v3. It's just not worth the time investment for pros
I've already done a tas of the fetelix jump in the past and it was very hard to do it but that's because I've never really tried to learn how to do it. nice video

u can see the animation of his car leaving the wall is slightly different, its definitely a LIX jump. he has just got it down so good its barely noticeable.

It's still mostly luck to get a good setup. You touch the ball at the bottom of the wall and it has to roll off the wall perfectly to make it work.
Amalox said it wasn't that lucky. He was getting it 2/3 of the time with the new setup, tho.
@@Malam_NightYoru If you watch his clips he touches the ball at the bottom of the wall and lets it pop off. You have to set the path and hope no one challenges you from the time you are on the curve till you start an air dribble.
@@Spitts If you watch competitive rocket league, even teams in top16 sometimes get space to solo play, that's why joyo was so letal, he was flip reset mustying all over worlds.
Everyone has a little bit of space, the problem before was not just the pop-up, was the car strange setup. This was the main problem.
If only 1 person can actually make use of it over the course of 2 years, I think it's very reasonable to not care about it much.
This would definitely change the freestyle community. But as of competitive rlcs, it’s too delayed, a quick powershot ceiling pop over a prejumper into a reset double tap is the alternative counter. Playing in 1800 lobbies I could tell you it’s not effective unless I can fit a truck through the air or have space

The only player who could probably learn this mechanic and perfect it faster than anyone else is probably Dark. I think Zen could learn this too, however I can't envision him using it unless someone does it to him. Dark uses more mechanics in his game play than any other pro out there.

I also think another mechanic that would be insane if it was refined is the murie pop which is only really used in freestyling and is similar to the lix jump. If someone found a way to keep the ball close to their car and keep their jump that would be like a ground to air dribble with a flip and an alternative to a lix jump
I think if you allowed the ball to roll thru the curve at the top of the wall and drop off the ceiling instead of trying to set it up like an air dribble it could be more viable

Its like learning the flip reset in 2017, basically no one could do it for so long and wasnt used competitively for a long time and now look where it is. Just apply the time to this mechanic and god knows where itll be in 3 years time.

I don't understand this at all
come on, 'wall reset' isn't a mechanic, it's a bug. There should obviously be a delineation between being on the wall and actively jumping off it that doesn't allow for physics manipulation that removes a balance mechanic (losing flip). Ground resets were removed for the same reason years ago. Regardless of how effective or impractical or challenging it is to learn this is less 'new mechanic' and more 'engine jank'.

so i saw one guy about a year ago, who did his own lix jump insane variation and it was not amalox
this guys nickname was like "Slim_Brain" or something like that, but sadly his channel got deleted previous summer
i have all the proofs that he existed, because i was chatting with my friend about that and history is saved. long story short, he did that even better than amalox, consistently with all hitboxes and it really doesnt even look like 2nd jump. i won't tell you the details (or anyone) because im planning to go pro and rn im grinding, so i kept it for myself. if i dont succeed in becoming a pro, then i'll just master this exact mechanic and popularize it

Imo it’s not THAT useful, once you’re consistent enough just getting your reset off the ball you’re fine. I could only see this being useful as a mixup considering if I know someone’s gonna go for that all the time I’m just gonna rush them everytime they go on the wall (especially if there’s a second or two before they get back to possession of the ball). I think ceiling shots are a comparable mechanic and you can keep close possession of the ball throughout the entire shot.
That being said I think this is a great video because I had totally forgot about this mechanic even tho everyone thought it was game breaking lmao… this isn’t a hate comment or anything lol keep up the good work brother ❤️

essentially tricking the game into thinking you didn't jump off the wall, so you keep your flip forever. as you would if you fall off the ceiling ect.

Yea and the slider doesn't have a mix to turn down the dumbass tweet sound and others and still have your voice loud enough to hear. I watch a lot of YT, and never been so annoyed at sound effects. What i think it is, is that it just kept fucking tweeting, like 7 times in a row in less than 7 seconds, it's too much. There is no need, just use the sound for the first popup tweet and then show the other 6, no need for all of them to pop in with a sound. It's not even called Twitter anymore, there are no birds.@@kawfeeYT
