Gave me some great ideas! We live in cold climate so I am thinking of creating automation to open garage door and remote start the car when I get my morning coffee just by scanning a tag.
@@AutomatedTech please can you do a video to tell us more about it , most of us think a gadget has to have NFC before it can work with the NFC tags ... please
NFC needs smart devices to work with, it just can't turn any light on/off, or open any garage door. Both lights and garage doors have to be smart lights/garage doors devices, which are then switched by a smart App on your phone which in turn, NFC can handshake too. I have Smart Life controlling all my home automation, but NFC does not Hand-Shake with Smart Life, so NFC is useless for my needs. Great Video. Thank you.
Good question... And the answer is yes. You can manually customize your NFC tag to trigger a laundry timer for example 60 mins and gives you notification when it's done.

How can I run the Home Assistant action when I scan the tag with my IPhone without pressing the notification on my iPhone after scanning a tag?

Use Home Assistant. It integrates Tuya / Smart Life in a breaze, and can use NFC tags
The washing machine in the video has built in NFC. Will NFC work if it's not built into the machine?
