First a perhaps minor point. By Byron Berline's own account he did not write Gold Rush -- he helped write it. It was Monroe's idea from the beginning and Berline's role was to shape it into a traditional-sounding fiddle tune. He also contributed the out chorus on the original recording. I would say that you phrase it beautifully and with great conviction, and with a beautiful counter melody to Sierra's solo. However, I sense a problem of balance. To my ears your rendition of Old Dangerfield with Sierra on the octave (?) and that wonderful bass player (Ethan J) works much better, simply a better combination of ranges.
I wondered what Eddie was going to do for backup -- he killed it!! Love it, you two! Too much fun.
