Just when I think I have figured out what are the best set of lyrics Robert Hunter ever penned, I am reminded this is an impossible task! The genius had so many. Sierra, you and the band nailed this! What a beautiful rendition!
I was lucky enough to See Robert Hunter in Boston in between sets of Rat Dog. He was all by himself with an electric acoustic and a head set. He played for about 45 minutes while telling short stories. He played everything from Box of Rain to Terrapin Station. Simply incredible. The Man was and is a forgotten Genius. God Bless You Robert Hunter. Such a long long time to be gone and a short time to be there. 🥲🙏
Such a beautiful voice and a great rendition of the Grateful Dead song. It also was the last song Jerry Garcia performed live with the band, just a month before he died. A touching and haunting tribute. Thanks, Sierra.
I discovered you Billy Strings and Molly Tuttle all around the same time when you were all just getting started. The future of bluegrass music and music in general is in capable ultra talented young people like you three. We're blesses to be around during your time.
It's four (maybe five). Billy Strings, Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull and AJ Lee. Also Molly Tuttle's brother who is in the AJ Lee band is very good as well.
Wow!!! How do I not know you. This literally gave me chills, This is the most beautiful version of this song. One of my favorites. Sierra, you are a goddess.
I love to see young performers like you performing bluegrass music! Too many pop stars out there and we need to keep this cherished, American roots music going! You have the voice of an angel and play the mandolin so beautifully! You are truly amazing and what a beautiful song! Love to see you in concert!
She's been a kick-ass player ever since she was a child. But I really love the way she developed her singing skills. Most beautiful version of a very beautiful Song!
A hard working woman with a beautiful talent. She is everywhere and every player wants to join her. She makes beautiful music. We're all so grateful for you. And, we hope to hear her in person again. 😊
I’ve never been able to listen to this song without a tear in my eye. I love the way you’ve captured to essence of this beautiful piece. One day you will truly understand its meaning.
Really love it, Sierra, you're one of my absolute favourite artists. I discovered bluegrass because of you, and your talent is breathtaking, be it in singing or playing mandolin and guitar. Very inspiring ❤
Billy Strings has gotten me back into bluegrass, so I started looking into young artists I hadn’t heard yet and absolutely love Sierra and her band. Reminds me a bit of Nickel Creek
Saw Sierra perform this live in July in California. It's really impressive how much stronger and more powerful her voice has gotten since her early albums, or even since I last saw her three years ago. Superb stuff.
Every time I listen to her I think she seems so simple and down to earth yet every note she plays and every note she sings is perfect. Most amazing musician in my lifetime and there are dozens and dozens but man she is head and shoulders above everyone.
I've never heard of them, but this came up in my feed..What a great band! So tasteful and seasoned in their playing!. She's adorable, too, which you're not supposed to say, but their musicianship is awesome!
Sierra Hull is God's gift to the mandolin and she has a voice of an angel! Thanks for sharing your gift with us!
I was going to say the same thing, God bless be safe!!
Lot of gospel in that voice
