I am so addicted to these thrift store kitchen finds that I have boxes of items in my shed. Too many for my kitchen space (and I have a large kitchen). I'm gonna need a summer house for them, I suppose, someday.... 😀
Vintage items were made to last. They are easier to clean, like manual juicers. They have only couple of pieces to clean. They also get the max out of citrus fruits. I love the old mixing bowls. Frankly, I simply love vintage kitchen items. Old aprons are usable & also make marvelous wall decor. Useful & pretty! God bless.
Your glasses probably came with pimento cheese spread or pineapple cheese. I know mine did and they look exactly like yours. Love your videos and glad you seem to be feeling better.
You have some awesome finds doll! I live in Katy Texas and I just don’t see things that cheap to me over here. Things at thrift stores are almost the price of buying it brand new. Maybe I just need to check them out more often and dig deeper lol. Im doing something wrong. The juice thing would be 6.99$ at our stores. Im like I know something’s wrong with my eyes. I had a flyer-de-lis set of bookends and they wanted 15$. I was so hurt lol. Anyway I love your finds. Have a blessed week ahead my darlings 🙏🏽👌🏾👍🏾♥️🌷♥️
i am so glad to see there are folks that invest in thrift store items! folks throw away so much money on new items, i shop thrift stores and goodwill weekly, there are so many treasures to be found to use as you find them or you can paint them the color of your choice!! Great job!
The little glasses from your childhood once held a soft supermarket cheese. Just about every family in America had those glasses. Thank you for such a fond memory.
I have 3 large containers of wooden spoons & kitchen utensils - most vintage but some new that were too beautiful to pass up - and also have a little ceramic container full of honey dippers - I’ve been collecting them for years & some are very old - I’m glad I started back when because they are very hard to find now
I have Sooo many of those white plates. My bestie and I found some at a church thrift store. I thought may be they came from a hotel or college because I bought 12 and she bought 12 and there were more left over. I use them year round to decorate my dining table (I have never eaten on them, lol, but they are lead free) I also found the salad plates and dessert plates years later from Goodwill. That was such a sweet memory about your Grandmother. I had an aunt who had those old juice glasses with the matching pitcher that she filled with water from the well at every dinner we had at her house, years ago! I've found peg boards too. I put one in my shop but the other I painted and attached to what would have been a coat closet but the builder put the hot water heater there. I love, love, love faux flowers---I haven't killed one yet! I also love unique vessels for flowers. I have a minnow bucket, baskets, pitchers. I even found a Lopez sculpture vase that looks like a row house.
Your rolling pin looks like a home turned one....My grandfather & dad used a lathe and I recognize the look! ❤️ Thrift stores are the only place I buy plates, cream colored, of course!
Isn’t it amazing how an item, like the jelly glasses, or a tune, or phrase can take you to a lovely memory. That’s why I enjoy antique shops. They are full of things that transport me to a simpler happier time...when I was too young to watch the world news... and have to remember to not leave to house without a mask.
I thrift all the time, but I think where I’ve been missing the mark, is finding items that are cohesive. You have such a knack for this! I’ll definitely be thinking more about that in the future. Your house is so beautiful!
Our son has my Mom's white Pfaltzgraff; I have your same measuring spoons which I got years ago. I have a glass canister like yours for extra Christmas cookies, but I prefer my Fiesta canisters in orange and red because their lid gaskets better seal out FL humidity. Not so crazy about using wooden utensils and cutting boards since they are so hard to sanitize. We DO have a big newish one for holiday turkeys; otherwise we use a white plastic one that is antimicrobial. It slides behind the canisters for storage. I like the look of the your tan doors and white walls -- it's easier and more economical to paint a door than a whole house. Your juice glasses might possibly be jars from Kraft spreadable cheeses. I don't know if they make those anymore, but many people collected the jars because they were just the right size for juice. They had pry-off lids you'd remove with a can opener by hand and that is the reason for the thickened glass lip. My grandma collected them possibly like yours did. Grandmas knew how to repurpose decades before young ladies like you because they lived through the Depression. String, rubber bands, paper bags, Kraft wrapping paper that wrapped our mail order Sears parcels -- all that was always saved and never bought. Lovely home, presentation and ideas.
Oh Andrea, everything you picked up, I have! What is really special to me are those measuring spoons. I have the oval shape ones but I came across the round vintage measuring spoons. They are so dainty and I love love the patina. The wooden spoons, I have so many beautiful ones, rare looking that I place around because there is a story behind them and I want to take care of them, and the others I always use. I have some pretty rolling pins that I can't part from either. Matter of fact, I've had many people ask about them. Awh.... I'm 62 and I just love that kind of stuff. Thank you for sharing. I really enjoyed this video!
You are right, I have found many kitchen items at thrift stores. I just love thrift shopping for my home. I can hardly wait to get back thrifting when stay at home is lifted. God’s blessings.
I loved your story about your grandmother’s juice glasses. When I went thrifting the next day, I spotted two just like them and picked them up! Tonight (a couple of weeks later) I used Kraft Pimento Spread and noticed the jar it’s packaged in is exactly the same! Lol! I saw another comment where someone said people used to recycle jelly jars so maybe these were for jelly or for Kraft spreads. I like picturing them as vintage jelly jars rather than modern Kraft jars. :) I love your videos! Thanks so much!
I saw a lemon juicer a while ago and I totally regret not getting it! 🤦🏻♀️ I also bought a beautiful wood rolling pin a couple of months ago. I actually want to use it so I have been researching how to properly refinish and make it food safe. Thrift stores have such great treasures 🥰
I just came across your channel. I love your content. I'm also a creative wife and mother from Michigan. Two little girls. Comstock Park. I referb, diy, thrift shop and create much like you. Thank you for all of the great videos. Bravo!
I was happy to see your glass lemon juicer. Mine is very similar. It was my grandmother's and I use it daily. She was born in the late 1800s so I know the juicer is antique. It's in great shape and I love knowing that she used it too. Yours might be quite old, too. Thank you for your helpful and nice videos.
Awe... again a fabulous video! I love finding old wooden spoons...I check the handles first! I want to see the bend in the handle were someone used that spoon for years and it bent a little from their use of it! I have my Dad’s...he used one all the time for his famous Chili Sauce! Then I have my mother’s mother’s small one that has the bend in the handle. I love holding them in my hand and imagining their hands on them... I miss family deeply.... Those tin or aluminum measuring spoons... I have my mother’s... and her measuring cups that are tin. My dad soldered the handle back one of the cups! Love them. Such history and like you mentioned “ memories! “. We had those “ juice glasses too! “. I remember we could only have ONE glass full of the juice! I don’t know if it was expense or what??? It was in a frozen state and my mother added water...LOL! Oh the memories you have brought back to me! ❤️❤️❤️ Rolling Pins and cutting boards... LOL!!!! I was just looking at old rolling pins on Etsy! We don’t have thrift store around us. We have a lot of Antique Shop.... with high prices! This was so nice Andrea. Love seeing what people find and how they are displayed. It is also nice to find people who love “old items”. Around me , most ladies my age want the new look! ☹️ But I am blessed with a neighbor who is 81 and loves her Antiques and knows a lot about them! Thanks for a great start to my day.... I needed this! Off to watch the other ladies channel! God bless !
I worked for a lady that was 102 yrs old. She had her Mom’s favorite wooden spoon. It was a short one and was almost 1/2 worn down, but I understood it’s great value to her. I love untensil & wooden items family history. It really does transport you back in time!
Love your vids. This one was extra good. Love thrift store finds because of the history in the items. I'm collecting copper. It's so beautiful and I'd rather have vintage, than new. You are a sweetheart and doing such refreshing, polished videos. They just make me feel good.
My favorite kitchen supplies fm the Thrift Store are: Stainless steel bowls. I use all sizes & put in dishwasher so I need a lots of them.My all time favorite items are restaurant ware China & platters, Cups & saucers. I especially look for the vintage scolloped. And don’t forget tablecloths & aprons.
Love how you can sometimes find pure linen teatowels or small tablecloths! After seeing a pure linen bathtowel at $75 in an upscale bath shop, I realized my mother's small tablecloth was the same size. It makes a wonderful absorbent bathtowel 💖💕 Love linen.
Dyana Layng I make almost of all my kitchen drying cloths by cutting up beautiful tablecloths i get from the thrift store. I look for my kitchen colors in tablecloths.
@@totallydomestic433 I always mean to do that, but then, if they're small enough, I just use them as they are to dry dishes 😃. I don't have a sewing machine any more, so I don't like leaving a frayed edge. It's so wonderful to rescue these neglected linens. Crocheted mats are good too. I layer them between stacked dinner plates; they have an antique cottage like feel, and I love to respect the work that went into them.
You inspired me to now hunt down Pfaltzgraff Heritage dishes! It's funny how you can overlook something for years and then all it takes is a spotlight in the right position to make you realize the perfect dish set you've actually wanted was sitting in thrift stores this whole time lol. I've found a ton for a little here and there
RE your blue juice glasses with the daisy... I have them and a matching pitcher, but in amber (which is my color!)...they have such a cute vintage look😁
Oh I'm right with you!!! I love thrifting & I miss it so much! Can't wait to be able to go again! I have found many goodies for our home. Thanks for sharing & God's blessings to you and your family!😊

Thanks for 10 kitchen staples! The glassware is something I don't always think about looking for. Yes, Iove the crocks! I use those around my house. Also I really appreciate you collabing with me. I had fun figuring out my Kitchen favorites. I may have to do a part 2 as I realized I missed several items after watching your video:)
Your video was great today (as always) 😊. I love to go to thrift stores!! You just never know what you might find! Thank you again! Love your smile that puts out love 💕
You make me want to go out and thrift. But I am not sure they are open.? I am into white dishes also. I guess they are popular right now. I like to use things that were my grandma's also. It shows we loved them. Your kitchen so charming. Thank you for sharing. Joyce
You can find some great items thirsting, I found a Martha Stewart cooking pan for $5. And I love my wooden spoons, can’t live...cook with out them. All of my measuring cups are Thrifted. That’s for sharing.
I just found your channel. Love your juice glasses. My Grandma used them too. They are from pimento cheese spread!! I have them also to remind me of my Grandma Gertie!!!
Thank you for sharing I’ve never gone thrifting before until about a couple of months ago and can’t wait when this is all over so I can continue shopping there again! Will be looking out for wooden spoons at first I wasn’t ok with the idea of someone else’s wooden spoons but you are right if we wash them properly I guess it’s okay! Maybe I’ll just use them as decorations 🙈 we’ll see 😆
What a fun trip down memory lane. Love your tips! I have my Mom's rolling pin and just love it. And I have those measuring spoons too! They were also Mom's. :) You are such a pleasure and so natural. I look forward to sharing a few minutes with you each day.
This was a fabulous and helpful video! TFS. I’m in MI too, and happy that I recently discovered your channel. You’re definitely going to see your channel grow!
You've just given me an itch to go thrifting. Thanks for your list of wonderful finds. Can't wait to look for similar things myself. As always, you have great content and I always look forward to your next video. Be blessed.
You have a great eye for beautiful kitchen items! Love the simplicity and functionality as well! I miss thrifting since all of them ate closed here in MA due to the virus.
Susan Novak did you notice my use of quotation marks and laughing emoji? My bowls always stood with my mixer and didn’t think of them as regular ‘mixing bowls’ until, after many years, my husband used one because it was closer than the one in the cabinet. Mine are heavy and not something I’d use as a regular ‘mixing bowl’ unless I had to. 🙂
Absolutley love ALL of it! I"m obsessed with vintage kitchen. Love the metal "ice cream" scoop and those juice glasses remind me of vintage jelly jars! As a kid I remember sometimes they had characters painted on them. I live in Michigan too and I'm dying to get back to thrifting! I had just recently found some new shops before they all had to close. :-( Thanks for the suggestions!
New subscriber loving your channel, you present things so lovely and your home is beautiful you have great style . I’m from Australia and love to thrift too
💕I am new to your channel & have been binge watching your videos!! Your home is absolutely gorgeous😍. I love the calming feel I leave with when I'm done watching a video of yours. You've got me excited again to go out and thrift (of course not until we're allowed to again lol). Our governor just lifted some restrictions and now we can get garden supplies again, so I'm looking forward to that too. Do you keep a garden in the summer?
What a great video! I am so going to be on the hunt for a wooden ladle. Also I would love for you to share how you made those potatoes in the cast iron pan. I find using a cast iron pan really challenging. Thank you for the video!
Thank you for all these great tips!! I love thrifting, and can't wait to get hack at it after social distancing is over here in Ontario.....which sounds like it'll be a while yet 😭
Love this so much! I always look for glass canisters and mason jars. They are so expensive in the store but there are ALWAYS glass things like this at the thrift store.
Elizabeth Franco, Google thrift stores in your area....I'm in MI, also, lower SE! I hit Goodwill, Salvation Army in or near my town and in any towns I am visiting, lol,
So many good ideas at a thrift store. Wooden spoons. Mixing bowls. Glass juicer. Peg rack. Faux flowers.
Im obsessed with TRIFTING. OBSESSED

Crown crocks are antique collectible. I have 1-8 gallons. Not as expensive as red wing, but still wonderful.
I love thrifting and yard saling!!!

Wow! Your thrift store prices must be way better than here in the PNW. The only place I can ever get a deal on dishes, etc. is rummage sales.
So many great suggestions. I love the joy and happiness these things bring you. You see the beauty in everything. Lovely. Thanks 😊

You've just given me an itch to go thrifting. Thanks for your list of wonderful finds. Can't wait to look for similar things myself. As always, you have great content and I always look forward to your next video. Be blessed.
Aww thank you so so much Esther!! :)
You have a great eye for beautiful kitchen items! Love the simplicity and functionality as well! I miss thrifting since all of them ate closed here in MA due to the virus.
I live in the uk I wish we had more stores that had such vintage/farmhouse style items
Aww I would love to visit the UK one day!
Pine and Prospect Home if you did we should do the car boot sales! Do you have them in USA? X
Yes I too wish our thrift stores in the uk were like those in USA , you can find so much more over there 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Your glasses are jelly jars made to be used as glasses when empty. Dual purpose was encouraged rather than throw away like today.
Yes I remember getting jelly in them as a small child. Laundry detergent use to have things in it too. Also green stamps.
Those glasses were filled with Philadelphia cheese spread
Rosemary Mulbery, I was thinking the same thing. I saw this on the store shelf last week. It brought back memories.
I really enjoy your blogs. You do such a great job. I love those blue goblets.
You scored so many wonderful thrifted items. Our thrift stores her in PA never have items like what you got.
Aww thank you! They were collected over time :)
Good ideas. I love thrift stores also, can't wait to go shopping again😷
Same here! Thanks Yolanda! :)
Loooove it all, your kitchen is stunning!
Aww thank you so much!! :)
I think the glasses that reminded you of your grandmother are jelly jars.
Yes they might be!! :)
Love all your thrifted finds TFS!
Thank you friend! :)
👍🏽 you have a lovely home.
Wonderful as always! Love your ideas!
Thank you so so much! :)
The glass mixing bowls look like bowls for a stand mixer. I never thought of those as ‘mixing bowls’! 🤣
Leah Stewart - What else would you call bowls for a stand mixer if not “mixing bowls”?
Susan Novak did you notice my use of quotation marks and laughing emoji? My bowls always stood with my mixer and didn’t think of them as regular ‘mixing bowls’ until, after many years, my husband used one because it was closer than the one in the cabinet. Mine are heavy and not something I’d use as a regular ‘mixing bowl’ unless I had to. 🙂
Love your video. I've bought SO much at thrift stores. Haven't gone shopping for a while because I'm trying to pare down all my treasures. It's HARD!
Yes it is!! I have to be so careful hehe! :)
Yes!! Apart from my church family, thrifting is the one thing I really do miss haha!!
Love this guide to Bargain Hunting. 👏🏻
Thank you!! :)
I can't wait to be able to shop at a thrift store again!!

Great video! Your videos just relax me!!
Aww thank you!! :)
Ohhh thank you for telling me that! We have never had a garden but I would LOVE one one day!! Only flowers here so far :)
They sure don’t make things like they used to!! Vintage all the way! ☺️☺️☺️👍👍
I agree!! :)
Can you please give me the link to the cleaning wooden spoons and cutting boards from Hedge farm...I couldn’t find it, THANKS!
your kitchen is beautiful
Thank you! :)
What a great video! I am so going to be on the hunt for a wooden ladle. Also I would love for you to share how you made those potatoes in the cast iron pan. I find using a cast iron pan really challenging. Thank you for the video!
Lisa over at Farmhouse on Boone has an awesome video all about cast iron! She even has one about how she cooks crispy potatoes! :)
Another great video sweetie🥰💕
Thank you so much! :)
Thank you for all these great tips!! I love thrifting, and can't wait to get hack at it after social distancing is over here in Ontario.....which sounds like it'll be a while yet 😭
I feel the same way! :)
Wondering if that is a faux gray and white brick wallpaper behind your cooper pots and where I can buy it???
Love your video. I love your house and all the decor, love your greenery.
Whats the name of the white flower in watering can. It's very beautiful.
Ohh I can't remember the name but I got them at Target recently! :)
Where are the white brackets from holding up your top cabinets on the end? I want to add these in!
Great finds, just be careful of aluminum items especially older ones.
Fun video.
Love this so much! I always look for glass canisters and mason jars. They are so expensive in the store but there are ALWAYS glass things like this at the thrift store.
yes!! You can save so much money!
I loved this video. Tfs
Thank you!! :)

Would you please show the side of your kitchen with your stove? I’d really like to see ALL of your kitchen. It’s so beautiful-and so are you!
Haha awww but I don't like that side!! Hehe just kidding...you can see it in a few of my recipe videos! :)
