I love the dishes because they are well used and well loved. I'm happy you were able to inherit them. I pray they will bring comfort and hope as you use them to create new memories with your sweet family.
Everything is lovely, your grandpa's items cherished in the eye's of the heart, your beloved husband and mom's cutting boards too. Thank you for sharing, so beautiful, sweet weekend to you and your family. Stay warm~♡~
The duck decoys are so cool! I have always loved those! You have some beautiful finds...the white bowl.....yes...and the tea pot and copper plates! You are so lucky you have some great thrift places to go. I don't have much here where I live and not a lot of time to travel to find others. So for now, I live vicariously through you!! LOL
Your grandfather's ducks are simply beautiful! Have you ever thought about putting some sort of pretty shelf above the couch and placing your ducks there?
Great video, Andrea. Dresdon is valued and very collectible, aside from warming your ❤️. I wonder how the ducks would look in and on the wire milk crates on the wall behind you, with some greenery maybe?? Love your videos. God bless.
The salt container is from Germany. The sign says Dresden, which is a place in east Germany. A lot of porcelain has been and still is produced in this area. It's even labelled in German: Salz means salt.
Hey Andrea. I know you love copper. I just wanted to share a product to clean copper. It is the best I have ever found. It’s called Twinkle and I have ordered it from Ace Hardware but I think Amazon has it. You wipe it on and wipe it off. It’s not expensive but works like a charm.
I love when you make these types of videos. Your style is so beautiful. I know the pieces from your grandparents are so special. My favorite things are ones passed down to me from my loved ones. I hope you make a video about how you style your sweet items. It always inspires me.
Your cutting board from you husband was wonderful. Having the repair itself is collectible. They are referred to as “make-dos”! I love the patched items! Collect those!
I love all your items, they are beautiful. Thank you for sharing with us. Your husband did a great job finding you the big cutting board for Christmas! Kudos to him! I can't wait to see how you decorate your home with all of your finds. Blessings to you and your family.💗🙏
I meant to tell you...I use crocks for plants outside but I don't drill holes in them. I put pebbles in the bottom & set a plant in a plastic pot inside. The water will drain through the pot into the pebbles. You'll be able to tell when your plants need water again. I never had a problem. Just remember to bring your crocks inside for winter. I forgot once & the water froze & the crock cracked. (A crack-pot, for sure.) I kept it because I really like it but I'm VERY careful when I move it. And it doesn't go outside anymore!
What ever makes you smile when you look at it is great. I have a Sentimental body!!I love things from my grandparents . You can just see what food they served in the dishes. My Dad was a carpenter, he learned how to carve ducks and other things. I love them. He sat and worked on them. Can't you just see them sitting and working or eating. The warmth of family is always good. Well now I have really gotten carried away. But I think you know just what I am saying. Have fun keep warm. I am in Iowa so I will do the same. Joyce
Those crocks would also house your cute faux pine trees. Hiding the base 🌲 Love your style. This spring/summer my goal is to make a pea gravel sitting area ! I can wait to be able to start it
I just love items passed down from family. I have a few smaller items, but mostly furniture pieces. Feel blessed to have them. I see the duck decoys somehow displayed together in your sunroom. Much love.
@@PineandProspectHome I, too, love old duck decoys. We have one my husband's mother gave to him. I, myself, have 2 raven decoys that I absolutely love and have yet to find where to put. I believe they were made to hang in a tree.
I love your treasures! Nobody has mentioned this..and maybe I'm wrong..but please consider NOT polishing the copper. To me the patina is everything that makes them beautiful and tells their story.
Wondering if the old Duck Decoys could sit on or in the Wire Crates that hang on your wall or on your Fireplace Mantel? Or if your husband could make a shelf that could be attached above a door or a window?!
I really enjoy your video today, I have alot of antiques from my grandparents as well, and we have quite a bit of them throughout our home from antique place as well.
Love all your special items. I can see you got your love of collecting from your family. Always keep those items close to your heart and memories. Love all your treasures. 😊🏡
My dad is a carpenter and he made me a large cutting board for Christmas which I am so excited to have! So I’m very happy you got some too! Sometimes I think our lives are so similar!
What precious pieces you got. I love the white and blue and the water heater. They are little treasures as always. Thanks for sharing Andrea. Much love and blessings 🌹💖😍
Winters on the Canadian prairies can be harsh, however, we have been spoiled so far with mild temperatures. Hopefully, the next two months aren’t too cold, as well! I’m sure looking forward to spring! I love all your new treasures...isn’t it amazing when an item we bring into our home has so much history and sentimental value! Thank you so much for sharing!
Love the pattern of the dishes. Years ago I had a nice collection of hand carved duck decoys. I displayed them on shelves in our rustic (barnwood & stone) family room. I gave them to my son & he installed a shelf about a foot from the ceiling & displayed them there. I like collections together .
Such a beautiful collection of items Andrea. Love those cutting boards...... I look at them on the internet and say “ no” also, unless they are a very good price. I would love to be near that Antique Dealer who has items from Germany, my Great Grandparent came from there. How beautiful that “salt Bin” is...lovely! And what a great price on those copper bowls! Your not strange, I love Duck Decoy also! Just something about the wood and worn paint! Old wood calls my name ! LOL!! All the items were beautiful! Yes, we snow belt people need to embrace the winter season ... it is our home ! Not sure I want to leave it yet at 64 years old...times yes...but living with it this long....I would miss it! Can be very beautiful and cozy ! Have a blessed week! ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
What cool items. I think most Dresden items carry value. My parents had 5 Dresden figurines from the 1700s, I believe they were quite valuable. Im glad you have things from your grandparents. Sorry for the loss of your grandfather. I lost my last grandparent in 1974!! Now I'm the only living grandparent in my family side and oldest living from both my moms and dad's families!! We had 5 living generations on each side. Yes, I have pictures!! I think you are as much a sentimental lady as I. Love your videos.
I really like your vlogs! You have very nice items! Dresden is a city in the Germany former DDR it is not Dutch Salz is the German word voor salt. Kind regards from The Netherlands!!!!!
Such beautiful family treasures. My daughter wanted my parents everyday dishes also. She thinks of them every time she has a cup of coffee or serves dinner! Precious memories 🥰
🌿Andrea🌿 Love all your treasures.👌🏼 Gorgeous ! I have a collection of duck decoys as well. Cherish them !👍🏻 Your video was so interesting...Thanks again. 🙋🏼🇨🇦
Pine and Prospect Home we sold our house last year and are renting. Currently looking to buy a new house so in the meantime I’m putting all my energy into future design ideas. Watching your channel helps me from getting stir crazy since I can’t do all the things I want in our rental.
Love your finds I just did a thrift shop myself and found so many gems. I got embroidered boy in blue and a girl wall hanging for 6.00 each. I think they can be like 150.00. I also got a lot of Melissa and Doug toys in their package for my son. Like I had a couple of start the car moments haha
Love your fines, and cutting boards too. Today I was watching a video on Sears catalog homes and they showed a home that looked a lot like your home and it was in Michigan I was wondering if you home might be a Sears home. They always said my parents home was a Sears home but I didn't see anything that looked like their house. I guess I have to keep looking .
Andrea, just love these thrift/antique treasure videos! Thank you for sharing & inspiring! My favorite is the antique salt cellar - simply gorgeous. Have a lovely day & blessed new year!

Just found you. You have some very nice things there, bought as well as inherited. You seem to very much appreciate the patina of old things as do I.
❤️ the salt box!
My grandmother had the same salt cellar on her kitchen wall. I love it!
Wow, that is so cool! Thank you!
How wonderful to have amazing things that belongs to your grandparents.

Man your husband earned an A++++. He did so good with that cutting board. Great job, Mr. Husband!
I am intetested to see how you will decorate with the big cutting board. Sit on counter, hang on wall. Excited to see.
Those copper pots would look so pretty underneath a terracotta flower pot!

I think it is a charcuterie board. Lovely.
Oh yes, it would work so well for that!
The copper bottom bowls/pans retain heat really well. Great for family style meal to keep things warm on the table.
Oh thank you, didn't even think of that!

Wow, that is so special, we had four at one time, but now just three. Thank you so much for your kind words as well!
A shelf on the back of your couch, just on the top ledge of the wood molding would look very nice.
Another good idea, you guys are giving me so many! Thank you!

The blue and white storage-box ist for salt it says salz what means salt. I am from Germany an have nearly the same ❤️
Oh thank you!
Could you please tell me where you have information on where you bought and diy your blinds in your painting room, thanks!
I would love to help you! I talk about them here: www.pineandprospecthome.com/woven-roller-shades-window-covering/
The blue pot with ‘dresdon’ underneath is indeed for keeping salt in and is dutch😉
Oh okay, thank you so much!
Sorry I am born in the Netherlands and have to say in Dutch it’s zout in German salz
Is it Dresden pottery? Maybe German, as Dresden is in Germany. I think the blue Dutch pottery is called Delftware or Delft pottery.
Such beautiful family treasures. My daughter wanted my parents everyday dishes also. She thinks of them every time she has a cup of coffee or serves dinner! Precious memories 🥰
