Hey Matt, could you get Ben Darwin on from Gainline Analytics?
Look, I love being a Bud Light Real Man of Genius Mr. Pro Sports Heckler Guy like the rest of them, but this is getting ridiculous, for both USA and Canada.
I’ve been banging on two drums for a couple years now:
    (1) we have no Cohesion (that’s why you’ve got to get Ben Darwin on to talk about this, with actual data that can inform us what to do)
    (2) our spine (2,8,9,10,12,15) have to all play in MLR and be on two or three teams in MLR (which is linked to #1 Cohesion). That means we tell AJ MacGinty to come to the USA or he’s out. It’s that plain and simple. Gone are the days of a USA Rugby All Stars team coming from all 4 corners of the world to don the red, white and blue. It’s never worked and it’s certainly not going to work in the current environment of national teams that have consolidated and are surpassing us by miles, friggin light years at this point. We haven’t been good since half of our team were part of the Glendale Rapers, and that because of the Cohesion we had at that time. It’s pathetic.
And USA Rugby has to get out of that Libertarian/Fascist hell hole of Glendale too!

the cohesion needs to happen at all levels of rugby in the USA for it to work properly
      the grassroots rugby
from the kids and youth being the rookie rugby programmes currently in and up
then to the high schools rugby level and up to
the college rugby all the colleges
and club rugby level as well
MLR and The EAGLES are the highest level that's fine
one of the biggest problems for rugby in the USA is all of those involved with rugby is there too fractured
and there's division there not united there's division between USA rugby and the American club rugby
then there's the two college rugby comps sagas they need to get on
all involved with rugby in America need to be united a united front for all
the eagles team only just got together the need to be together a lot longer but the positive is look at the u 20 doing well
after there u 20 duties is get them into the MLR teams any MLR team. and in the Eagles plus the Eagles need more top line tests with tier 1 nations bring back the test tours series three tests each against the likes of Australia and New Zealand playing against super rugby sides then play against South Africa Argentina England France the rest of the six nations teams Scotland is not enough it will be tough put improve over time

Its tough to beat any team after only 3 training sessions together, it could've been worse and the usa nearly won if aj brought his kicking boots. Thought Lucas Rumble had a good game for Canada, he's certainly the energy canada needs. Sack Kingsley bring in the free jacks coach? 🤷‍♂️

How can you be THAT negative about the Romania game? They had their chances, made some mistakes and once again, AJ MCGinty failed to bring his kicking boots with him. He slots one of those two kicks at the end and suddenly it’s a great start to the new Eagles era.
The path forward isn’t dismal as it sometimes appears IF more American talent finds its way onto the field in the MLR. Reduce the foreign influence, give our guys a chance.

Because it means you are on par with a team that drops 60-70 points a game to tier 1 nations. That's why it's such a negative. Just like how the U20s doing "well" in the "TROPHY" competition means nothing aswell, that means they aren't tier 1 either.

Restricting eligibility to MLR players would be a good start.

They do restrict MLR players - but it's a professional sports league. It's not a farm team for Team USA. It's like asking the NHL to set up rules for the benefit of USA Hockey. Still, the MLR is trying to bolster the Eagles and further restrictions are coming.
