Moving Old Farm Implements. Something a bit different went up a long green lane in our village to help an old friend move some very heavy cast iron old farm Implements which are going to be restored and a new barn is being built where they will then go inside. This is the highest point in our village. I am so sorry you can see the sun was low and very bright this afternoon. There is a fantastic view from here the sun was so strong I just could not film this you used to be able to see The Daventry Radio Arials and Masts array some 20 miles away and there is a super Second World War story about this location which I will cover in time when our own small rural agriculture-based village had its finest hour in late 1944! The Fordson tractor lay abandoned after it broke down lifting potatoes in a field in the village in the late 1960s and was pushed into a hedge for many years but in time it was recovered and fully restored a number of years ago now.
