Great riding. Those Nan Bield switchbacks...feels like theres an invisible pressure not to dab, like someone's watching you, but actually the consequences are not that severe. Maybe its the climax of trekking up there for hours. Now i dare you to ride down the other side on Nan Bield to Small Water....maybe one for Jason
Watched Jason's edit a few days back. Seeing yours just now was the icing on the cake. Brilliant getting both perspectives. And hearing him yakking away in front of you made me laugh out loud. Went up over garburn the wrong way a month or two back. Bloody good fun mind, even for my old bones. Keep doing what you're doing guys 👍👍
Bloody great video Andy, really was such a fantastic day (company, riding, weather, route). Next time, we'll do it via Harter; I reckon you are up for the challenge of the Harter Descent now as your riding is getting so much better 👍
Fantastic video mate, you did well down nan bield, those switchbacks are tight and steep, at least you weren't taken down harter fell first, that's just mental 🤣 hopefully i'll be coming next time, been a while since i've been to the lakes, looked like a cracking ride 👍
A naughty one but heading up from Troutbeck on Nanny Lane onto Wansfell Pike and then descending towards Jenkin Crag and Ambleside is a blinder, pretty technical in places (especially in the woods) 👍
Harter Fell 👀👀 makes me shake just thinking about it 🤣 Great riding mate, really Jas progressed so much more! Nan bield is something else, does look like they have sanatised it a bit as well on the top part. Seriously right switchbacks, not an easy trail at all!! Garburn looked really good going down it, top video mate. Your progression was seriously clear to all in this 🤛🏻🤛🏻 You KOM holder now as well on another trail 👑
Going to give harter a try next time I do Nan bield. Spent a full day setting up the suspension on the bike. Got it set up lovely. And it’s made me look like a better rider. But in reality I’m still hanging on for dear life 😂😂
Hi Andy, this relates to s different ride than this vid, but can you recall when you did 4 passes, how much full on hike-a-bike was there was as I have a very heavy e MTB & can't really get it up & over onto my shoulders so usually end up pushing it up the tech steep stuff. Just not sure this would be possible on this route. What do you reckon? Cheers, Neil
I did the route this summer and pushed my Levo ebike up from the Troutback side - took a looooooooooooooooong time with frequent stops but well worth it in the end! Only one place where you have to lift it over a small ledge. Its not particularly techy but very steep and grassy/rutted.
@@Lakedistrictrider Towards Troutbeck? Bloody awful I reckon. Steep, grassy, a couple of very technical sections. Honest opinion, not worth doing. Makes for an ok climb, shame that the trail over Mardale Ill Bell is a footpath as this is a cracking loop that would truly be a classic if all legal (doesn’t bother me but I know you need to stick to legal rights of way) 👍

Thought it was funny what that couple said to me about Jason thinking I was behind him. But he was actually talking to his camera 😂😂
I love the random dialogue he comes out with. Brilliant riding, totally focused and talking shite! What's not to like😁
One of the best, suspense filled episodes. Awesome job guys.
Cheers Martyn 😁 it was suspense filled for me. 1st time down those trails. Love riding new stuff 👍
Great riding, and the views, thanks for posting, it certainly brightened my day up a lot. 🙏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Patrick. 😁
Excellent job on Na Bield those top corners aren't easy 👏👍
I didn’t think they were 2 bad really. Only dabbed due to wrong line choice. Now I no should clear it next time
Nice one TF, looked like one of McTrail riders routes, was waiting for the drone footage 😉. Stunning views 🌞 well captured 👌
Thanks mate. I really enjoyed this one

Great day mate. Yes I’ll be trying harter next time I do Nan bield. So much good riding to look forward to. Let me know next time your lakes bound
Great seeing you two fellas riding together, as long as it's just riding :-0
@@leew4145 We threw fireworks at a bee too, is that what you meant? 😂

Great video. Brilliant looking route!
Give it a bash mark. It’s great
I've wanted to do Nan Bield for some time now; this looks a better way in for me than over Harter Fell so thanks for the vid & .gpx

Thanks mate. Next time I do Nan bield it will be a walk down harter fell 😂
Great ride mate definitely doing this one in August as that is the site we stay at you came through in Troutbeck
That’s perfect then for you. Lots of good riding from the troutbeck area

Looks a great route. Nice riding.
It is. Loved it.

On the 4 passes route. I struggled and my bike is just under 13kg. I was done in by time I got to the last hike a bike

@ might well give it a go this coming spring then. Thanks for the beta
Why did I duck for the tree like an idiot watching this? ✌️✌️
😂😂 that’s funny. My partner did the same
Jason may be getting near to the WPM of Guy Kestrel-van
That’s Words Per Mile
😂. I though he was now called Guy Keswick 😂
Nice vid!
What would the climb up High St be like as a descent? Not been up that way

I'll say it again... How on earth do you always appear to ride on perfect weather days apart from the odd one 👌😂
I look at the weather forecast 🤣🤣

@@shannonmtb thanks mate. Was a good one this. Worth a try if it’s the kind of riding you enjoy
