Wow! I never expected that! I'm a 66 year old, crotchety old man who is highly cynical and unsophisticated for the most part and have no experience with music like this. I remember hearing Andrea Bocelli sing this years ago so decided to click the start button to listen. I have never heard of this young lady or anything about her before tonight but something very strange happened before the end of the song. I found that tears were streaming down my face and couldn't figure out why. I guess just admiring her elegance and grace, and listening to her sing so beautifully opened up the floodgates. Pretty god-damn glorious!
When Potts started out on one of those talent shows, the music/ opera snobs scorned and ridiculed him. Now listen to him! Atta boy Paul, make these "stuffed shirts" eat their words!

Secondly, Potts’s power, resonance and interpretation come nowhere near that of the upper echelon opera singers. The only reason he isn’t lost in obscurity is BECAUSE OF Britain’s Got Talent. This isn’t me necessarily trying to scorn him, it’s a simple statement of fact having heard recordings of and been to concerts of many of the all-time greats.

This duet couldn't have been better put together her voice was a perfect compliment and Paul you just amaze me when you sing ,you sing from the heart and your soul , thank you.

As a child, Marlo Lanza made me fall in love with opera and Paul Potts rekindled that love. If angles in heaven sing like these two, I can’t wait to get there. They are so gifted and blessed.
