Absolutely the best video on this Front Derailleur Adjustment !
Thank you for the kind words! Keep rolling! 🚴♂😎
Fantastic video thank you! The adjustment is slightly more complicated than a traditional derailleur but you made it very clear.
Knowledge of maintaining your road bike can be challenging, but this video is very useful. Thank you for sharing
Ditching my front mech was the most liberating thing ever.
Good for you! But why are you watching a video about FD adjustment? 🤔
I was having problems with adjusting my new front Shimano 105 , but your instructions worked. Thanks.
I'm selling my bike, so this's perfect to get things smoothly handed-over. 😂 😊
If it's a little rough, I won't be satisfied. 😂 So, thank you for your guidance!
u know what....i really needed this video lol perfect timing..got a new mtb with 27 gears and the barrel adjuster got messed up by my friend .....bro is now in heaven😂
Sounds like fate intervened at the right time! 😄 Sometimes, those 'oops' moments lead to perfect timing. Enjoy your new MTB adventures-may they be smooth and barrel-adjuster mishap-free! Happy riding! 🚵♂✨
@@buycycle i fixed it...thank you very much bro
Thanks mate. Your rear derailleur video helped me tune. Prior to it i watched the Parktool one but it overcomplicated something which you explained very simply and with good camera angles too.
You're welcome! I'm glad to hear the rear derailleur video was helpful for you. Keeping things simple and clear is key. Happy cycling! 🚴♂😊
My next watch
Excellent video! Helped me resolve the front derailleur chain rub on a second hand bike (with a Shimano 105 groupset). The combination of the camera angles and clear explanation made it clear and simple to follow.
Your videos are by far the best I have seen

A pleasure!😀
This videos best man, Thank you so much!!!!
Excellent instruction thanks
This is the most helpful instruction on the topic I found on You Tube. Maybe reduce the number of spoken “go ahead” statements. (American speak). Many thanks.
Thank you for the feedback! We're thrilled you found the instructions helpful. We'll definitely work on refining the instructions to ensure a smoother experience for everyone. Your support means a lot!
Great man ❤
Well done! Watched a few vids before this one but they were not as clear as you were.
Good
I am going to replace my cables with new ones when my derailleur arrives, do I need a front in line barrel adjuster or can I do away with it as it has the tension screw on the derailleur
I'm on the verge of tears I've been working on this godforsaken bike all day and every time i try again from the beginning it screws something else up but I can't afford to get it tuned at the shop
I feel your pain man! I cannot get the High/limiting screws balanced so the derailleur shifts smoothly. #torture
Saved me a trip to the bike shop, tension was way off not allowing it to be adjusted by the screw so it wouldn't go into the larger gear
😂😂😂come to the workshop bro we want your money
Well isn't that amazing haha! Glad we saved you a trip and a buck or two :) 😎
Anyone know how to troubleshoot this problem:
I set my low limit, clamp the cable back in the front derailleur, then use the tension screw until I get a good shift up to the big ring. All good, no rub. But then I go to align the top trim, and once I match the white lines using the tension screw, now I've got rub again.
The chain is trying to grab onto the big cog when in "trim position" and slips. It's okay when doing a "full" shift. Any ideas?
What to do if the shifter is too hard to push and can't shift to 3 gear
👍👍👍
Hey, I'm a super newbie and i have a question...
My back derailleur is mismatched with my handle
for example, when i put it on gear 7(smallest) it only goes down to gear 6
When I put it to gear 2 it goes to gear 1
When I put it to gear 1 it falls off towards the wheel
Which makes it impossible for me to use gear7 which is my favorite.
Is there any solution? I don't really trust shops here since It's just old men and they're unexperienced with good bikes.
He has a video on the rear derailleur that will answer your question. The short answer is that the high limiter is set too tight, I just fixed that on mine.
Hi! I followed the video, and the lowest and highest gear are perfect but the middle one is rubbing. What can I do?
Nobody can answer this question?! out of all the people who commented that this video was completely helpful? Damn.
I'm new to road cycling and this video gave me confidence to fix my derailleur issues myself. Thanks!
Love to hear that! Happy riding! 🚴♂😎
I've watched close to 50 videos on this and follow step by step but it never works right. I have 3 chainrings and I can get it to go from smallest to middle. But when I click back down nothing happens. Or what will happen is I will go small, middle large and when I click back down it totally skips the middle.
Triples are the hardest to get right. Derailleur height is key, but this sounds like it could be a cable tension issue to me. Keep at it, you’ll get it dialed in.
Another excellent video f rom Buycycle
I cannot get the front and rear derailers to shift through all of the gears. What the fuck am I doing wrong? Does it have to do with cable tension? I really feel like I tried everything, but I’ve am about to burn this bicycle. Bicycles.
You and me both...and Im in training
Same
Tried this today on my first road bike to fix the chain rubbing. Must have done something wrong, couldn’t find a position of the L screw where it didn’t rub and then when I tried to put things back together I couldn’t switch to large gear in front anymore. Will have to take her to the shop. Seems a bit weird to me to change the H screw so late in the process given that it seems to have so much impact (with it I could actually prevent the rubbing).
The park tool video is rubbish, so is the one by GCN
This is the only video that explains everything and doesn't leave anything out
