Hey you did a great job buddy and I'm actually really happy yours is the first endwar video I have seen. I'm working on losing some weight too. I know you can do it
Can’t believe there is a kamen rider and nerf fan! I always wanted to make a Stryfe off of ex-aid or a alpha trooper with the front of a rampage based off of cross-z or kiva. Yeah I’m a teen that likes live action Japanese super hero’s, or what you can call a f-big nerd.
Glad you got to enjoy some Endwar fun! I definitely agree that the weather was unforgiving and I couldn’t wait to get back home. Hope your knee is feeling better now.
I’m really glad to see that you’re happy with that FDL. If another opportunity to get you an awesome blaster came up, I’d do it all over again! (That and I had to have a bit of a giggle at your rant once we got you the $500 🤣❤️) Keep doing what you do best Walcom, Scotty (aka ya boi ScottyTyrrell)

I understand the pain of injury. Last endwar I rolled my ankle bad in mission one. It was caught on dart dragons channel. I was able to continue thru mission two but had to rest for the next two missions. I was able to attend the last stand but by injury kept me from hopping a wall to follow TK 1138 to be one of the last survivors. I fought until the end with my fdl 2+ by my side. Your experience sounds pretty much the same as mine when Greg and I went down last fall for DragonCon. Walking in Atlanta was like trying to walk through air made of wet cotton.
Welcome to GA weather mate. :) With your bad knee I'd recommend a compression knee brace; it'll help and possibly keep your knee from going out. An adjustable brace is probably your best bet.

Enjoyed meeting you this past weekend and getting to talk a little. Thanks for being so gracious, we were the father/son duo that met up with you the first night and walked with you to the first mission. Great time, and look forward to seeing you at Penn State next year.
Haha! Yeah I remember you fondly! Thanks for helping us out with the water and sunscreen! You guys were awesome and I really hope to see you again soon!
ohhgghh this is a year old and that injury footage still hits hard. I hope that was mainly caused by the insane amount of walking and it isn't regularly that bad....
Even thought I wasn’t able to come, I can still tell you had some great and fun moments. It’s a bit disappointing that you couldn’t go out in a blaze of glory, blasting zombies left and right with 88 darts, yelling like there truly was no tomorrow. Also, I wanna tell you that if you do try to push yourself and be more physically fit, we all know you can. Great video as always, walcom.
I wanted to, and I was kinda planning to because I was getting tired and wanted to experience the Zombie side of things... but yeah, the knee thing is a known issue. It's sporadic. I can be walking through the store and have it give out on me. I could be running around outside (the wife and I go on a walk where we switch between the one bike and what not) and it's no issue at all.
Aww man, that looks like hella' fun! If I got some of my friends to go, we would form a zombie hunting group whose only objective would be to eliminate the zed threat. I hope you can get your knee issue treated in a way that it doesn't become a hinderance in future games.
You can do it! I love your creativity, passion and energy you put into this. I am seriously considering incorporating nerf wars into our CrossFit gym I'm running here in the Midwest. My son and I have a decent collection of Rival blasters so there's enough to go around. The intensity can require a degree of relative fitness, so it seems a good fit. Had I still lived in the Washington state area, I'd look you up. I would highly recommend a well run local CrossFit gym to help you out. Changed my life. Best of luck!
Awesome video and footage! So nice to hear that an individual was able to get you to Endwar 2019! Love the Nerf hobby and the amazing people I keep hearing about!!!

Nothing's impossible unless you believe it to be. Hope you can make it out to Penn State for 2020, because i can't wait to meet you on the battlefield.
Walcom you absolute savage I had no idea you lived in the PNW! I actually live in the area as well, would love to meet you and swap nerf ideas! Glad to see you had fun man can't wait to do and endwar myself eventually 🙏🏻
I was stationed in Georgia back when I was young and in the best physical shape of my life, and there were PLENTY of times when I thought I was losing my mind from the heat and humidity. Just standing around feeling like I was going to die and getting a panic attack because it’s too goddamn hot.
As a resident of north carolina’s Coastal plain I know a thing or two about humidity. Most of the time I can take it but frankly you got very very unlucky. I say this because most of us southerners have found that even though long time residents can deal with common heat and humidity, the day before or day of a bad rainstorm is unbearable for even most of us. On those days I don’t run or go outside; is just clean the house lol. That’s poor luck that couldn’t have been helped when scheduling an event a month out, so hopefully it’ll be better in the future.
Walcom, I recommend wrapping your knee before events even if you don't think that you'll be active in it. As a fellow biggun with bad knees, it's saved my bacon more than once. As to the Georgia Humidity...I never got used to it. I used to joke that you needed gills to breathe down there, but you can't really know how bad it is until you actually go there. It's not so bad in the winter, but in the summer it's just murder. All that being said, I'm glad that you managed to get out of the house and have some fun! Take care of that knee!
First endwar gameplay vid out there, nice going Walcom! Being from celsiusland I had to look up what kind of temperature you were talking about and all I have to say is DANG! That weather must have claimed some victims with everybody exerting themselves like that. Good luck on the weightloss/fitgain goal, I can recommend swimming, full body exercise with very low impact on the joints. Also fun to do with the wife. Let us know how it goes.
Yeah I'm... a huge fan of water. It's the only place I feel alive. It's just harder around here, the only pool is like the gym and what not and...well, it's a gym. Not really the environment I like to be in.
EndWar 2020 is at Penn State... here north of the Mason-Dixon Line, summers are a little less murderous. I don't do "hotter than hell" either, and I'm from south-central Michigan where summers can be fairly brutal some years. If you want to get more into competitive nerf, then you need to talk to Luke (Out of Darts) some more. He started out as a BURN regular along with Jangular and the other try hards. At the RagnarOctoberfest that you were at, we had blind competitors and others with knee injuries. Having a sharpshooter and communication is the key to area control.

Hey dude, thanks for the vid. I didn't get to go this year so it's nice to have a little window into what it's like. I would have liked to meet you in person! My name's on that maverick though at least. Hope to see you at the next big thing!
This might sound offensive, but it's not supposed to be. I think you need to watch a movie called "fat, sick, and nearly dead." It's a documentary about two guys, one who is 300 pounds or so and another person he finds along the way who is 400 pounds, and the power of juice fasts (juice = ground up fruit and vegetables, not the store bought sugar filled crap). I think it could help. you'll probably still need to eat some meat, because most people have to eat it to survive, but the basic Idea is you get a juicer, juice a ton of nutritious fruits and veggies (based on a specific diet plan) and that is all you eat until you're healthy again. for carbs, you let your body eat it's own stores for a couple months, and then you're good as long as you swear off junk food and processed sugar forever. oh, and incremental exercise is important too. www.rebootwithjoe.com/joes-films/#fsnd it's free to watch too. you just need to sign up for the guy's mailing list.
That's the diet Tim Schafer did and I actually talked to him about it a bit at PAX when he dropped a bunch of weight back in 2014/15. I am aware of it.
Really glad you had a good time man, hope you deign to join us again in 2020 as I know a lot of people and kids in particular were really thrilled to see you there.

You truly do live the dream
If I go to end War I'll bring a wheelchair
My EndWar memory of you is pretty unique!
Unique is an interesting word that we use to typically describe things we deem bad but don't want to use a negative word for :P
Nah, unique hilarious! You inadvertantly called me a pretty lady with a pretty purse, right before the first mission.
We need to organize an S7 Squad.
Also, super proud of you man.
I wish I could’ve held that poppy fd-l. Or toki meki crisis because of the gashat paint design, well you decide.
You are one of the best nerfers that I admire, greetings from Mexico
Thats great that you have a weight loss goal! Getting healthy is worth it!

Hey dude, thanks for the vid. I didn't get to go this year so it's nice to have a little window into what it's like. I would have liked to meet you in person! My name's on that maverick though at least. Hope to see you at the next big thing!

I live next to and attend this college...and you mean to tell me i didn't notice this event?!
This might sound offensive, but it's not supposed to be. I think you need to watch a movie called "fat, sick, and nearly dead."
It's a documentary about two guys, one who is 300 pounds or so and another person he finds along the way who is 400 pounds, and the power of juice fasts (juice = ground up fruit and vegetables, not the store bought sugar filled crap).
I think it could help.
you'll probably still need to eat some meat, because most people have to eat it to survive, but the basic Idea is you get a juicer, juice a ton of nutritious fruits and veggies (based on a specific diet plan) and that is all you eat until you're healthy again. for carbs, you let your body eat it's own stores for a couple months, and then you're good as long as you swear off junk food and processed sugar forever.
oh, and incremental exercise is important too.

it's free to watch too. you just need to sign up for the guy's mailing list.
That's the diet Tim Schafer did and I actually talked to him about it a bit at PAX when he dropped a bunch of weight back in 2014/15. I am aware of it.
