I’ve come to bed that McDermott is not the answer. Bills had two legitimate shots at the SB and bad coaching decisions kept them at home. The 13 second debacle was the worst. I blame Leslie Frazier for that.

I think you nailed it but I would say Allen gets too aggressive and goes stretches of playing home run ball when he could dink and dunk it. Also, Allen needs to up his situational management game.

3:45 Josh had some pretty terrible throws in that game. Very out of character. If they had won that game, (which they could have quite easily) you’d be signing a different song here. Josh had a bad game because he’s injured. That’s the only time this offense struggles is when Josh is playing hurt. Go look @ the film. I think he suffered a concussion in the Ravens game and wasn’t 100 percent going to Houston. THEN, he suffered another concussion the following week. If you’re going to be an analyst, then do your homework.

Did we watch the same game? Not sure I agree with Simms,.
I’m a Bills fan and the receivers weren’t great but Josh’s accuracy was horrendous. His decision making was piss poor.
He actually throws a terrible ball often. His ball placement and touch can be non existent at times. Does every receiver he ever played with suck or does he whip it 75 mph at tough spots sometimes? cause there’s been a ton of drops over the years from everyone
I love him and wouldn’t trade him for anyone but Mahomes ( I’d even argue he outplayed Mahomes the last two playoff game) but that last game was on Allen, Brady , and then the receivers in that order.

Cook is a top 5 RB
      Good offensive line
      Good quarterback
Kincaid and Knox are a top 5 TE combo
      That is 8 / 11 starting offense
Shakir is underrated but a solid number 2
      Bills missing a great #1
      And a solid #3
      Josh played terrible against Houston
      And the wr played terrible
Josh was indeed throwing over wr heads half the game and at the feet number is times of wr.
Without shakir and an already below average wr corps you cannot afford Josh have a bad game, which he had against Houston.
Josh not being wasted. Bills are the second winningest team behind KC over the last 4 years and just happens to be running into Mahomes a couple times in the playoff losing in the last seconds of each or he may have 2 Super Bowl wins.
This was really a retooling year for the bills and happen to start off better then anyone thought and expectations began to grow a but too high.they should win the division and then you just need a ticket into the dance and with Jos you always have a chance

it’s the same every year. This is on Beane and McDermott. They never focus on getting Josh the weapons. It’s all about the defense with these two. As a Bills fan it’s the most frustrating thing in the world. Josh needs to go to the owner and say tell these clowns to get me the weapons or trade me. Maybe that would wake someone up.

Can you give some suggestions on how the Bills can fix their issues from your point of view. JA17 is a top QB is this league but I ageee he needs coaching to assist him with his bad tendencies. I wish he also knew how to move in the pocket like Mahomes. Mahones is able to move around but still stay in the pocket. Josh has to always scramble right and teams know that.

I’d get a new head coach. Offensive. I would have done everything to hire Harbaugh. But now Ben Johnson is probably the best bet.

Belichick has won until recently with lesser talented offensive players. There needs to be training with Josh that he does see the midfield better. If you cannot improve that, then we may be forced to trade for a high-level wide receiver threat. He seem to do better with that, and that seems to be, what he likes. Outside of that he uses the running game, which is more of an old line management issue and it seems to work times. In short, either improve Josh with mid-level throws or get a real wide receiver threat.

McDermott is a good coach, for all his flaws, but im not sure if he is "the" coach. He seems to quite frequently get out coached in big situations. Allen was pushing the ball down field way more in that Texans game, more than he had in like the last 9 games he played and I think his ego might have crept in a bit and he was trying to prove something to Diggs, like, see, I was right, we don't need you. I don't know what happened between Allen and Diggs, but they seem to really not like one another very much, anyway, just a thought.

Smelling salts are not a remedy for concussions. A lot of players use them on a game to game basis. They help the central nervous system to be energized. Helps.reaction times and elevates players other motor skills. Josh passed the league doctors baseline test for concussions. As far as smelling salts go, there are a lot of red capsules left on every sideline by every team. The smelling salt narrative is moot.

Julian, at some point, you need to make a video dedicated SOLELY to debunking the flawed talking points of Mahomes fans that we've talked about for months since I first started watching you as a subscriber lol. I think it'd be interesting & here, I'll give you a blueprint of what I think you should emphasize
-False narratives of Reid before Pat
-False narratives of Kelce/Hill before Pat
-False narratives of Pat winning with no help
-Overexaggeration of how amazing Mahomes is in the playoffs in terms of some of his playoff game/Super Bowl game numbers
-False narratives of other players like Josh Allen "choking" in the playoffs, particularly in matchups with Mahomes
I think you could do a 30min video or so (who knows lol) in really elaborating why these narratives made to deify Patrick Mahomes are just not totally accurate & I think you can title it something like "Patrick Mahomes fan narratives are LIES to make Mahomes look superhuman"

Ive noticed this in the past few years basically since the second half of 2022 to now is they seem to not let Allen play the way he WANTS to play. Look, I love that hes not turning the ball over, but at the same time, I miss it. Him turning the ball over is what made watching him so fun. Because he was free to just sling it like Favre. But he could be calm and check the ball down. He was reckless and a complete handful for defenses to stop. Now I will say I think these past 2 games have overblown just how well he has played this year. First 3 games were really amazing and against the Ravens he did what he could considering the circumstances. The Texans game was bad and it is what it is. Everyone has a bad game, Mahomes hasnt played good all year, Lamar has had a few bad games, Burrow has, Jayden Daniels had a few, its normal for a qb to have a bad game here or there and even a few in a row. They are humans after all. But one thing I have noticed is why wont they let him run the ball? One of Josh Allens greatest attributes is his ability to rush the ball. His ability to scramble out of the pocket and extend plays like a mfer. I havent seen that from him as much under Brady and I think its because they’re not allowing him to do so. Or he has an injury we dont know about. Obviously he had a concussion against the Texans, but he had a bad game that day along with really the whole rest of the team. Is his arm injured from the trick play against Baltimore and its making short and intermediate throws painful? That was something he talked about during the 2022 season with his UCL tear in his throwing arm. I wonder if its the same thing. Especially since I noticed the lack of short to intermediate routes in the Texans game vs the other games this season. The routes vs the Texans were medium to long routes that were almost always past the sticks or home run balls. Just find it odd that they switched it up so much.

    • @jctslice
      @jctslice 3 дня назад +1

This argument is overused and it's always complete BS & it's very simple why it's BS. Just because he didn't win a SB before Pat doesn't take away anything from how good he always was. The Reid you see now is the Reid he always has been. Him winning with Pat literally changed nothing other than how people viewed him, but in terms of how good he was as a playcaller, that never changed. Also, you're talking about a man who got to 5 NFC Title Games (2001-2004, 2008) and a SB (2004) before Pat & with many of those teams, he had far from big name pass catchers on the team. 2001-2003, I bet you couldn't name even TWO receivers who were on that team lmao. 2004 was the ONE year with TO of these years where he actually did have an elite pass catcher, and guess what ? He went to the SB like Julian said. Donovan McNabb ain't no HoF QB lol & was somewhat inconsistent with play and health too, but he was able to get this far over and over with him. In 2008, his best pass catcher wasn't even a WR. His best WR was a rookie DeSean Jackson
Yes, obviously, you need the QB to execute. Mahomes is a wizard. I never deny that. What I deny is exactly what you're saying & what many Mahomes stans do in overexaggerating just how much Pat has elevated these guys. JuJu is iffy now, but he wasn't always that. He was very good in Pittsburgh for a couple years or so. Even throughout his career, last year was the only year where Pat had legitimately iffy pass catchers. Even the year before, JuJu had good hands and caught a lot of big-time balls. Kelce was obviously Kelce & even with the Chiefs not having big names, they at least have guys who typically can take the top off a defense, which still is a benefit in terms of spacing a defense out. This isn't a Brady situation where for many years, he had no big name pass catchers OR a team full of speedsters. When you have neither, it's much harder to score and get big plays on offense. Let's for once kill these same flawed talking points. They're very disingenuous

@@jctslicebro you just wrote a whole bunch of idiotic nonsense 😂 ONLY THING YOU PEOPLE HAVE TO DO IS JUST GIVE GOAT MAHOMES HIS CREDIT 😂, like y'all act like it's hard to admit Andy Reid was always a great coach BUT HE WASN'T A SUPERBOWL CHAMP WITHOUT GOAT MAHOMES 😂 like every corner you people try to minimize goat mahomes and his success 😂 then get emotional when the goat mahomes fans state facts

@@jctsliceif you want us to kill the flawed talking points, then just give goat mahomes his credit 😂 you don't have to minimize his greatness because josh Allen gets criticism 😂 like josh Allen hasn't accomplished anything 😂 that's not goat mahomes fault, like just because y'all want josh Allen to win or be better doesn't mean yall should discredit goat mahomes 😂 get mad at josh Allen 😂 if you people stop the goat mahomes hate and just accept reality then we will stop

@@JWLSportsno actually you need to stop Julian 😂 every time it comes to JOSH ALLEN you always minimize goat mahomes 😂 like everyone knows Andy was a great coach BUT HE WASN'T A SUPERBOWL WINNING COACH WITHOUT GOAT MAHOMES 😂 you try so hard to elevate Andy to minimize goat mahomes! Like it's a big difference from being a great coach with mcNabb and Alex Smith to being a Superbowl winning coach with Patrick mahomes! It's not Patrick mahomes fault josh Allen can't do certain things like win or elevate his team
