Great work! There is an image of B-wings blowing up a Star Destroyer that was used for all sorts of advertisements when return of the Jedi came out-but the shot is never in the movie because B-Wings didn't work well against the Green Screen. Love to see you tackle that shot.
Dude this is amazing, what the actual hell. Why did they have to leave so much on the cutting room floor for Mando s3? Speaking of which, can you PLEASE do something with the Mandalorian Fang fighters that they robbed us of in season 3? They were tiny specs in the background Mando fleet establishing shots and nothing more. We deserved a space battle for that finale. As an aside, I'd love to see you collab with other vfx peeps like EC Henry as an example. Someone make it happen.
@@wookieesrebelsmoreyeah! It’s an incredibly well set up scene for having to cut it. The fang fighters go down into the clouds, and the tie interceptors and bombers go up into them. And then we don’t see or hear from them again lol. So I think if you ever did this scene it would look very natural and integrated.
Not going to lie, when I saw the shots in isolation mid way through the video, I wasn't totally convinced, BUT! When put all together, it really works very well and is nearly seamless! kudos to all involved.
I’ve had the thought of adding a venator in that exterior shot just before the interior shot where they jump to hyperspace, not to recreate the concept art but just to pay homage to it so it would just fly past it upwards as opposed to along the hull. Really really awesome job on this though! Once the full clip is uploaded I would love to use this in personal projects!
Hmmm, I feel like there needs to be more of a reason why Kelleran turns towards the Venator. I won't deny that it looks cool, but perhaps this is why there are so many V-Wings in the concept art. Perhaps there needs to be a few more patrol ships coming in from the right side of the screen forcing him to head toward the Venator. Or you have to go the other direction with it. Have Kelleran specifically face down the Venator kind of like the Millennium Falcon in Empire Strikes Back. It's an excuse for the V-Wings to not fire at him because once they're inside its shields, they're at risk of friendly fire, allowing him a bit more time to plug in the coordinates and jump right after he's slid between the bridges.
First off you did an excellent job on the Venator escape sequence, it made me understand why many people found it disappointing, that scene was cut from the finished episode. But anyways, seeing all that, made me want to see a slight remake of the Battle of Coruscant. Don’t get me wrong, the opening sequence is still excellent and awesome, I don’t have major issues just a nitpicked, that being the zero diversity in ships on the Republic side. We only see an endless amount of Venators in combat, while in comparison, the separatist side have the Munificent, Recusant, Providence and an Lucrehulk. That always bothered me especially since, they could’ve easily added a couple of Acclamators and Consulars to break up the monotony. And now with new ships and even fighters that were introduced, before and after the movie in other media. So here’s a list of ships and fighters that could be integrated in the Battle of Coruscant. (Sidenote, both lists will be a mix of vehicles, from both canon and legends, also, a small apology for length, I have a lot of things to say, but here’s the TL;DR for the Separatists: Dual Hemisphere-Omni Support Vessel, Captor-class heavy munitions cruiser, Hyena-class Bomber, Rogue-class Starfighter, HMP Droid Gunship and Belbullab-24 Strike Bomber. While for the Republic: Consular-class Cruiser (Charger C70 retrofit), Pelta-class Frigate, Arquitens-class Light Cruiser, Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser, Valiant-class Star Destroyer, Victory I-class Star Destroyer, Secutor-class Star Destroyer, Maelstrom-class Battlecruiser, Clone Z-95 Starfighter, BTL-B Y-wing and V-19 Torrent Starfighter). Starting off with the separatist, since they did receive a couple of new vehicles as well I like to see. The Dual Hemisphere-Omni Support Vessel, (a ship introduced in the CGI Clone Wars series, we saw them a couple of times in fleet shots and prominently in the episode Plan of Dissent. I could easily see a few of the ships in the background, but I would also like to see one of them, being blown up similar to the aforementioned episode). The Captor-class heavy munitions cruiser, (a ship originally introduced in Rogue Planet, but I primarily remember it from the Republic at War mod for Empire at War, I personally find it pretty cool and like before they could be just background ships. But I can also imagine a sequence where Obi-Wan and Anakin have to bob and weave through, launching Vultures and Tri-fighters from one of the Captors). The Hyena-class Bomber, (it was also originally introduced in the CGI Clone Wars series, in various episodes and appeared in EA’s Battlefront 2, I can imagine them being in the Vultures and Tri-fighters defending the Invisible Hand sequence, and a shots of them bombing various ships). The Rogue-class Starfighter, (a starfighter based on the Porax-38 and first appeared in the Star Wars the Clone Wars movie, the Magna Guards’ personal fighter and they’re pretty neat in my opinion, I can see them being in the same defending the Invisible Hand sequence, plus having them shooting down a couple of clones, and being shot down by either Kenobi, Skywalker or clone pilots, maybe even throw in a few Magna Guard cockpit scenes). Finally the HMP Droid Gunship and the Belbullab-24 Strike Bomber. (Both already exist in the movie, but I primarily got inspired from OG Battlefront 2, where both appear in the space battles, like the last two they could appear in defending the Invisible Hand sequence and maybe other shots of the battle). And here is the Republic ships and fighters I like to see. The Consular-class Cruiser (Charger C70 retrofit), (That version of the Consular was originally introduced in the CGI Clone Wars series, I could easily see that ship appearing in between various other ships, throughout the sequence flying through and firing). The Pelta-class Frigate, (it was also interested in introduced in the CGI Clone Wars series, similarly to the Consular could appear, between the other ships flying and firing as well) The Arquitens-class Light Cruiser, (yet again introduced in the CGI Clone Wars series, A personal favorite of mine only second to Venator, it could easily be a background ship firing, but I could also imagine in the opening sequence, where a Hyena or two scoring hits and bring it down or helping to take down an Recusant). The Dreadnaught-class Heavy Cruiser, (A fan favorite ship from legends that have a impressive career, from before the Clone Wars to long after the end of the Empire, so I feel like it would make sense, to have it make a few appearances throughout the battle). The Valiant-class Star Destroyer, (a Fanon ship I’m quite fond of and so I personally want to see it, especially in some parts of the opening sequence and in the background shots). The Victory I-class Star Destroyer, (one of the predecessor of the future Imperial-class Star Destroyer, that did have some service in the Clone Wars, so I feel like it would fit, besides I would love to see it, doing a broadside missile barrage upon some separatist ships). The Secutor-class Star Destroyer, (A triangle with the Venator’s Twin Bridges on top, even though being a Imperial Ship, according to the wiki, it may have some service with the Republic, along with his looks I feel like it would not be to out of place, I do quite like it as well). The Maelstrom-class Battlecruiser, (the Venator’s Big Brother or at least according to how fans interpret it, like before, I could simply be a background ship). The Clone Z-95 Starfighter, The BTL-B Y-wing and The V-19 Torrent Starfighter. (These three made various appearances were the first two being introduced the CGI Clone Wars series, while the torrent appeared all the way back to the Clone Wars Micro-series, I would like to see them in the sequence where Obi-Wan and Anakin call in for some assistance with assaulting the invisible hand, adding two and maybe even replacing some of the ARCs if needed, plus, maybe even add in a few V-wings and space worthy Republic Gunship as well, as a fun little nod to the OG Battlefront). I do hope you take some of my ideas to heart, but don’t feel obligated to it, i’m just simply a fan who have too many ideas and talks a lot, so yeah.
