According to the book, if you have Advantage and Disadvantage, then you are considered to have neither. So since you don't have Disadvantage then Sneak Attack should work with an ally within 5 feet.
I don't remember if you talked about Weapon Mastery, but the common "Rogue weapons" like Rapier, Shortsword, and Short Bow all have the "Vex" ability, which gives you advantage on your next attack. So once you get one hit off on a monster you can always Sneak Attack.
Useful! When I first read it I thought it only lasted until the end of the turn, so only good for duel wielding. But now I see it says "before the end of your next turn." Of course, you still have to get that first hit off!
The 2014 assassin would only auto crit if the creature was surpised, meaning you'd miss out 90%, and forced a play style that could rub against party. New version is better over all.
Blinded superior to prone against a caster, who needs to 'see' with alot of good spells. Also prone they stand up on their turn, the blinded lasts until end.
Im playing thief in mew campaign, before magic items pienty of mundane items to utilise with that bonus. Manacles, rope, nets, ball bearings, caltrops, chains.... shennanigans abiund. 😂 Once you can use scrolls, you can use dissonant whispers and command to force those opportunity sneak attacks. 😈🔪
Only having three levels is lame. I love when board games with multiple characters have complexity ratings, but they're always rated like 1-5 or 1-10 or something.

Sustained!
And to also clarify, its if you have an ally within 5ft of the target, you can be up in a tree 600ft away sharpshooting. 😊

Let's go! I've been really enjoying your breakdowns!
Yay, thank you!
Rogue on Rogues!
Alert doesn't give you advantage on initiative, it gives you *proficiency*, which then benefits from reliable talent once you get to 7
You're right about Alert, but does rolling initiative count as a "skill or tool proficiency?"

True, a clever thief can have a lot of fun with items. Also raises the complexity of the role even further!
I trust 0% of the complexity list lol
