Hell yeah BatB is wayyyy too damn serious. It was friends and people who otherwise never played skate together. The prize money was literally a surprise. Now it's like they asked businessmen to organize it with Berra coming in at the end acting like he invented skate.

Hugo Alcazar he broke his leg pretty bad. He wasn't skating for years and now he wears a brace on his ankle to skate because his ankle is basically paralyzed

I disagree, does crob have some bangers up his sleeve? Yes. But he's less consistent than mike mo even with his injury. I also think his goofy personality got in the way, hes always trying to be funny and I think that spilled into his trick selection.. I could be wrong tho
The only reason someone would throw a game against Mike Mo, is because they knew they would lose. He's older.. has less tricks in his bank, and he also is one of his great friends.Who want's to lose when they tried their hardest in this world? Its just a big F U to your self. It was fake asf.
It was cool and they enjoyed themselves, it wasnt staged , they did whatever the fuck they wanted cuz of the rivalry. They kinda took this in serious but had fun. They both were skillful and way better than a lot of the previous skaters + it was entertaining. A great game.
there was definitely some weird business to try and make it entertaining like the heelflip which was fine and the dumb half flip thing, and the manual. still seems like this year is about playing around inviting cool people and making funny videos rather than the best flatground skaters battling it out
No wtf, the heelflip is a rule now. Each player has 1 challenge ( because he didn't like the way the opponent did the trick ). You have to redo the trick and the opponent has to redo it. The half flip thingy was same as the game with malto manual and the switch flip in batb X. And no they want the best flatground skaters to be good and PROs , you cant just bring joes or youtubers just for knowing a couple of "amazing" flatground tricks . They brought Luan , Cody , Asta and Sewa . These guys are probably the best. + they didnt want to bring PJ , Shane O etc. because they would just have repetitive BATB's with same people and just different but similar results. They want diversity , that's why they also bring other PROs that are really good in general ( street ) but they dont perform so well in flatground apparently. BATB 11 is still awesome , just wait round 2 when all the PROs that are bad at flatground are out. You've got Sean , Mike Mo , Ishod Wair , Diego Najera , Sewa , Luan , Felipe , Joslin , Cepeda , Trent and Asta , which are really good at flatground and have a lot of experience in this. Look at others BATBs , all had different people , and the first round wasnt sooo amazing ( except some old BATBs and BATB X ). This is still an amazing tournament after the first round. + it will be atleast as good and maybe even better than most of the BATBs. Just because Mike Mo and Chris Roberts had a friendly banter rivalry , doesn't mean they want to make funny videos.

1.- Not doing tricks that had been already done.
2.- No Mo upside down landing shit 😂
I imagine there are a lot of freestyle tricks still that are not against the rules lol
I'm waiting for someone to do a primo slide or something, that'd be hilarious. Then you'd have a new rule "no feet on the ground, no fucking BOARD on the ground, either!"

Games like this are why I still care about this channel. The rest of this BATB has been pretty dry. It's not the skaters fault either. Maybe it should just become Chris Robers VS THE WORLD where he 's allowed to constantly bend rules to try and always win.

Not really a legend, just went pro for an insanely loyal brand. Not that he was ever bad but he never had an amazing video part and never was a top pro, there were even a lot of ams on his level/better. i still like the dude though, he was just forgettable as a skater

alot of the older generation of skating will do that i tend to think because it was the next variant of nose hook impossible. but then again it's alot easier to get your foot out of the way and you get automatic wrap with it. I know cuz i do em like this alot. I could be wrong though.

There are a ton of freestyle tricks that are not technically against the rules. You could do a primo-3 flip or something, or a primo slide. I've been waiting for someone to do a primo slide in BATB for years. It would be hilarious.

Phenomenal - they both did very well, I’m quite proud of Mo for being able to still pull off some gnarly tricks while now barely having a foot/ankle/leg anymore, that is such a tragic story of skateboarding history. I’m still shedding tears. Chris did an exceptional job as well however, good game!

CROB is legit the Scrooge of skateboarding. He acts all hard and annoyed, but he secretly loves skateboarding - that part at the end where he was getting close to the impossible underflip was like discovering skateboarding again. That was priceless.

That's because this one was nothing like anyone expected, a lot of the people in this were last second or were put in to increase views, like Versace Plug who, without it being an IG edit, has shown he isn't consistent and should just stick to IG. The berrics needs more traffic and a lot of people who were going to be in this were either hurt or just are over being in it, so they had to scramble to make a concept and get bodies for it. All the other years were well planned, this one wasn't and why most first round games were trash
