Gotta love the way this competition is more about having fun than winning. At 5:10 defense is a completely different trick but they are all okay with it because it made sense. Someone probably commented this before, but I'm rewatching this competition (and it's definitely worth seeing twice).

Hate to say it even though I'm a fan of Andy. I'm very happy to see him lose here, due to the unorthodox trick selection with the use of his rails. Almost seems unfair. anyone who doesn't know rails on the board makes moving into different tricks easier due to the leverage or space to creates, also it's always slick they never don't slide unless you're going less than 1mph.
Was really looking forward to this round - Jake and Andy are so different from each other stylistically! I'm always blown away by how much air Jake gets on the mini and he's so super-clean. I was happy that Andy kept the button-mashing to a minimum this round - while technical and impressive, not necessarily the most artful transition skating at the end of the day - was hoping to see a dark slide! Anyways, that stated, Jake did a great job on defense which made all the difference this round. Thanks Woodward for another great video!

Err the rotation on Andy’s trick at 5:11 ish and Jakes do not seem the same. Andy’s looks more like a forward flip with his back foot where as Jakes is a nollie v heel…that irks me.
Brilliant battle!! By far the best so far. Good that Andy didn't go too much to the rail combos. Anti was a nice touch. Clean battle all in all. Jake = beast.
