Let's all congratulate Serena Williams on an outstanding QF Winning match, today at The French Open. That was awesome.. She is now in the Semi's. Hooray for Team Serena..
Let's give a big CONGRATULATIONS to Serena Williams for winning today because she is very ill with the FLU. God blessed her to make it to Finals. I hope she is able to play her best tennis of the tournament to get #20:-). Right now I just want her to be ok health wise. Hooray for Team Serena:-)
SW pulled off a win against S.S. 1-6/7-5/6-3 win.. She did not play well for the 1st set then found her range.. Our girl needs to bring it from here on out if she wants to win this tournament.. Hooray for today's win:-)
Childress Giles Girl I woke up this morning to 61 43 Slone and I was like what the heck..But as usual our girl turned it around like no one else does..I say like you she has to bring it from the start from here on. That was a great montage to honor our girl.. Thank you Childress
***** Girl she was not playing well "at all"in the 1st set. Trust me after all the drama S.S created against S.W, SW should give her any respect on the court. However she does these days to a fault which is why the 1set was lost. After the drama,back in 2013, Sw took the high road and declared that two black athletes should not have to play into the media's hand anymore of them pitting each other against the other in a negative way. That is when "On Purpose" SW stop using her signature phrasing "COme On" against S.S!!!Only because S.S said she was disrespectful of other players when she does that!!! S.S said this in Brisbane 2013. She was caught on camera saying this about SW . Instead of saying F-Off(Which I would have said because SW plays even her sister this way, In other words everyone)... SW let that play into the whole race thing she felt media was trying to wage war between them and started to change how she plays S.S. ...I think that was not a good thing because that is her motivation in matches against everyone. Well the 1st set she did not do any Come On's .. However,our girl woke up in the 2nd set and realized she was at The French Open. She started her Come On's(I was like Thank God, now never go back to not doing this again:-), then took the 2nd set by a thread. After that in the 3rd set, she was determined to win.. I just want her to go on the court with intensions to win from the 1st ball.:-) Thanks for commenting:-)
Childress Giles I remember that drama all to well and that's when I lost all respect for SS. Come on is SW motivation and she does it with Venus also. I don't see Errani being a problem..
***** Truly no opponent is a problem for SW when she is in top form. However she has not been in top form this tournament so I need for SW to focus and act like she wants it by coming out on fire, like she did in the French Open- Semi Finals in 2013 against her. SW squashed her 6-1/6-0. This is a whole new day therefore SW has to come out playing well,then it will be no problems at all:-)
derrick johnson Absolutely AGREED:-).. Glad she won today:-) She was being way too passive that 1st set but turned it around near the end of the 2nd. I just feel a lot of the time SW does herself an injustice by fighting, SO HARD, when she simply can beat all these players if she focused from the 1st point. :-) The mind of a sports champion is hard to understand at times:-)
derrick johnson Yes.. Focused and determined.. Looking forward to her having that intent in her next match. Besides, Serena have nothing to lose. Last year she only made it to round 2. So her ranking will be higher regardless and that should make it easier for her to swing away for the win. No Pressure:-)
derrick johnson She is one step closer to #20... Hope she is able to recover health wise before then.. Hooray for that fabulous comeback today. I think this tournament have proven how tough and good a player SW is on tour. You and I both know that many players would have folded under so much stress and strain on the body. Yet she keeps on going:-) Love it.. PS. I was very concern about her health today. It would have broke my heart to see her stretched out on the court. Thank God she did not faint of pass out..
Hey @Childress our girl did it again!!! I am beyond ecstatic. I see her winning four more grand slams and I am sticking to that regardless of her age. Truth is she always played less matches than most of the other girls hence the reason why she has been holding her own. Go Serena go!
