I'm a new subscriber, just found you today but I'm binge watching thru your vlogs. I'd like to give some advice on your content. You shoot and edit it how you want and what you want. Don't ever let the viewers tell you what not to upload. We are watching YOUR journey. If someone is tired of certain things, they can catch up in a couple of weeks when you have moved on. You guys are the creators, go for it. You will never, never, never make a single vlog that will make everyone happy. Unfortunately there are people who just want the world to burn, and they want to bring down everyone they can. So don't let negative comments get to you. Your doing good, keep it up. Peace ✌

Your doing great and moving along fast. You probably have already thought of it, but you may want to disassemble that packing gland and inspect it. I like that type and a little maintence goes a long way and no better time than now. Replace all four clamps with new ones and new packing for sure.

You have a very long way to go to make one of Ted's boats live again. Pay careful attention to the bulkhead tabbing as you move forward. Sometimes the crew at the factory appears to have rushed the hull join on the larger boats. Dry rot and brittle tabbing is not uncommon. (a hint from a former Irwin '42 owner) Good luck.

The sump might be for a shower. I think I'm older boats the shower would drain into the box and then a pump would take it overboard. I would mount over that spot one of the enclosed shower boxes with the internal pump. Why? Well they smell a lot better.

The mistakes you made on the engine is how you learn, when you are out cruising there won't be any thing you wont be able to deal with.
