We hope you like this episode! We wanted to give a huge thanks to all the support we have been getting as we push through this tough moment. We've been working hard on the boat but It's been tough building, posting videos, updating social media, and balancing life. It's truly your encouraging words that brighten each day and keep us motivated! And we always look forward to showing you our progress and getting your feedback. Thanks again, and we hope you have a wonderful week! Tell us, what is your favorite part of the build, or least favorite (go easy 😅).
The interior is looking amazing. Luke really has found his carpentry talent's come alive, the windows are truly beautiful and we loved the spoon effect translated to the corners. The wood textures you describe certainly will enhance the mood while living below. Thanks for sharing, you both are doing a fantastic job.
Right they are! Did you see our insulation videos? We are using a new type of insulation in immediate contact with the hull that stops conduction. Later we will fill the open spaces between that and the furniture as well. Thanks for the feedback! Cheers
Simple ideas can have amazing effects : as shown by the design in your boat. It is going to be beautiful when finished judging by the way it looks so far.
I really like and appreciate your well produced videos. Nice work on the videos. Most importantly, very thoughtful work on your interior design. When you finally splash, you will benefit from all of this effort. Keep on pushing through tough times.
Thanks great video! Now I have some ideas on how to do the ceiling work and panels. I was worried about fastening straight to the aluminium stiffeners but I guess that’s the only way…
Thanks! We tried the ceiling in two different ways, in the v-birth we installed it just hooking onto the stiffeners and using pressure which did work (ruclips.net/video/mRMZPBEqsSM/видео.html). But for this large bit of ceiling we opted to drill to secure the deckhead and use velcro for the panels. We will paint and then seal the holes with sikaflex to prevent wear and tear afterwards. Let us know how it goes for you!
@@lahakai perfect, I just binged watched a few of your videos and that ceiling one too. It makes sense, especially to minimise the number of holes. I’m concerned about aluminium corrosion… Thanks again!
Nice! We've been anti-drilling for a while but it got to a point where we didn't have an alternate way to secure everything . All of the original stiffeners in our boat were drilled already, so we just had to drill the ones we replaced which was all the top deck. It certainly made the job way easier. @@sailingkulali
Hello! There was a quarter-berth on the aft starboard side in the original layout. Just a place to slide your legs into really. We took it out to maximize the space in the machine room for our battery bank and are making the dinette convert into a bed instead.
Gracias

I really enjoyed watching the ceiling being installed. You two keep up the slower pace and finish your dream!!!😁
Looking great. I’m looking forward to the new companion way hatch solution.
It's in the works! Lots of factors to work through but we are slowly moving forward with our decision. Can't wait to show you it!
Wow beautyfull

Looking forward to seeing how you decide to insulate between the facade and the hull. Most will tell you, make everything removable on a boat.

So excited to watch your journey!
Nice to finally see the windows. They look beautiful. I like the curved corners and nice use of the spoon.

Ah Cheers Kevin! We always love hearing from you! You made or day!
The ceiling should be a light patchy blue to give it height and maybe a frosting of sparkle on wet paint.

Geat job pushing through the obstacles you have faced, keep it going! It will be all worth it when you splash and take in that first sunset 👌

Thank you! Cheers!
Just be sure no moist/humidity can enter the wooden panel via the edges..
We definitely will! There will be a whole process sealing and and painting coming up once we finish modeling everything. Cheers!
Hey guys, What’s under the cockpit? Couldn’t you have another berth there or have you done that already?
