Hi Lady Gem! Thank for your question. I like to layer my botanical gels with each other for maximum effect. I don't seal my hair with additional oils or anything else bc it is not necessary. The most beneficial point of hydration occurs during the shampoo process & the cuticle is closed and sealed during the conditioning process. While botanical gels can draw moisture to the hair, our stylers are not be the main source of hydration. I should expect my hair to lose moisture over time which is why consistent shampooing is essential. I use a botanical gel in the place of leave in. And I use a topper or more synthetic gel for more hold. My hair stays nice for up to a week.
I do the same. It works really well for my curls and my styles last longer as well
