I hope these magnificent animals know that we are trying to help them by having some in captivity to have healthy babies I really hate them being caged but I understand and I know they are well fed and well cared for even relationships with their care gives Have babies 😊😊😊😊
I relate it to it like this: I went to visit Japan once and my friend taught English there at a big High school, and I went to see her and I\ went with her to school all day to sit in her class so the kids could ask me questions in English. I remember the time of year was winter because it was very cold outside, and in the school, they had no heat. I was shocked because it was a big school, but so cold inside and it was near freezing outside. I had a jacket on and everything, and yet the kids all still had the same uniforms on, girls in skirts some did wear sweaters, but for the most part they seemed unaffected by a school with no heat. I was thinking how in America kids would be revolting or people would say it was cruel. In class the kids took turns asking me simple questions, then one boy asked "what is school like in America?" I said, "well for one, they aren't mean to students like here in Japan, and most of us would not go to school without heat during the winter." The kid didn't react, and said "thankyou" and sat down. Later on that night I was speaking to another Japanese friend and saying I couldn't believe the school wouldn't turn the heat on considering it was almost freezing outside. Then he laughed and said "Heat? Schools never have heat here during the winter, so the kids are used to it." What I realized is that since the students never had heat, they never missed it or thought anything was wrong. They just dressed warmer and went on about learning. That's it. No complaining. I think this applies to the gorillas in some ways, they are all captive born so they don't know what "the wild" is and they have never ever even actually thought of it so they don't miss it. All they know is their habitat is theirs at the zoo, and they seem content. Sure they wonder who the strange people staring at them everyday, but they definitely don't show any signs of being held against their will, or "caged". If they were magically put in the wild tomorrow, their chances of surviving would instantly be dramatically reduced due to a bunch of risks. Why? Does AMARI appear to be **So THIN** 🤷🏽♀️ and WHY every time that Willie B III is shown he appears WITHOUT his mother Anywhere in the vicinity!? I’ve Noticed this Several times.
Amari was born with a slender body, she has a longer torso and arms than other gorillas that give her a lanky appearance, and in the mornings Shalia and Willie are away from each other doing there own foraging, but usually can still see each other. So videos of Lil Willie are usually framed pretty close, and shalia is just not close enough to get in the shot, but I try to show them all if a family member hasn't popped in a few videos. Generally Willie just doesn't follow his mom around as much anymore, but she's nearby aways.
So sad this didn't happen as it should have. RIP little one. Have you spotted Kambera since her baby girl's unexpected passing? How does she and the rest of the troop seem to be??
Willie B III is the Grandson of the famous Willie B, and the son of distinguished Willie B , Jr. It is the only appropriate name for such an iconic line of male gorillas. But Lil’ Willy is a fitting nickname.
I visited Zoo Atlanta in May 2018, it was a once in a lifetime experience to see the gorillas, so excited for them to have another little one!
Can't wait to see baby. Thank you
Little Willie B III will soon have a playmate. If Kambera is anything like her mum she'll be a great mother. 💖💖🦍
I can’t believe Kebi is going to be a grandma and Kunda an aunt. 💜💜
Willie B III, you have a sibling coming! I am so excited! 😆 Can’t wait, can’t wait! ❤❤❤
YAHOOOOOOOOO,, a sweet new little handsome/beautiful baby I’m in love already 😊❤❤❤❤❤

Verdade, o garotinho parece órfão de mãe.

What happened to Amaris left handed fingers, 2 don’t bend.
I saw that too and was wondering myself, maybe has a little woumd and doesn't want to touch the ground with it. I'm curious to see next time.
She should be fed more…
The only thing will say about the zoo it’s Crap at giving names No imagination W.B 111 give the baby a Better name .
I really don't like WB3's name, it's a bit much. I think it's more of a marketing thing... I just call him Lil' Willie.
