Because If you say to a sufi that Allah is above the Arsh (in a manner which befits him) they will likely tell you it’s a deviant belief of Salafis. 1. *Imam Abu Hanifa*
      Imam Abu Hanifah:
Imam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله was asked of his opinion of the one who says ‘I do not know whether Allaah سبحانه وتعالى is above the heavens or on the earth’
Imaam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله replied:
“He has disbelieved, because Allah سبحانه وتعالى says: “The Most Merciful rose above the Throne”, and His Throne is above His seventh heaven.”
He was then asked “What if he said that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is above His Throne but he does not know whether the Throne is in the heavens or on the earth?”
Imam Abu Hanifah رحمه الله said:

[Quoted in Al-Uluww of Adh-Dhahabi, also quoted in Sharh Aqeedah At-Tahawiyyah of Ibn AbiI-‘lzz AI-Hanafi]
      2. *Imam Malik*
      Imam Malik:
lmaam Malik رحمه الله said when replying to the one who asked “How did Allah سبحانه وتعالى make lstawa? (Allah’s Rising Above the Throne)”
He replied “Al-lstawa is known and its how is unknown. To have faith in it is obligatory, and to question it is an innovation.” Then he said to the questioner, “I do not think except that you are an innovator” and he ordered him to be expelled from the gathering.
[Quoted in AI-Asmaa wa Sifaat’ Page 516]
      3. *Imam Ash-Shafi’i*
      Imaam Ash-Shafi’i رحمه الله said:
“The belief that I am upon, and I saw Our Companions, the Ashab-ul- Hadith (People of hadith) to be upon is: Affirming the testimony that none has the right to be worshipped except Allah سبحانه وتعالى, that Muhammad ﷺ is the Messenger of Allah, and that Allah سبحانه وتعالى is above His Throne (‘Arsh) (which is) above the heavens.
He comes close to His creation howsoever He Wills, and He سبحانه وتعالى descends to the lowest heaven howsoever He wills.”
[Quoted in ‘Awn aI-Ma’bood’ (13/41), and Ibn Abu Ya’la reports it in ‘Tabaqaat aI-Hanaabilaa‘ (1/283) with a chain of narration going back to lmaam Ash-Shafi’i. Also quoted in Al-Juyush al-Islamiyyah, Ibn Al-Qayyim, p.93)
      Imaam Ash-Shafi’i رحمه الله said:
“To Allah سبحانه وتعالى belong Names and Attributes that occur in His Book and His Prophet ﷺ informed to the nation. It is not possible for anyone to refute them. So the one who contradicts this after the evidence has been established against him then he is a kaafir (disbeliever), and as for before the establishment of the proof then he is excused due to ignorance, because the knowledge of that cannot be attained through the intellect. So we affirm these Attributes and we negate ‘Tashbeeh’ (likening Allah سبحانه وتعالى to his creation) as Allah سبحانه وتعالى negated it by saying (in the Qur’an), ‘There is nothing like Him.’”
      [Quoted in ‘Siyar A’Iaam an-Nubalaa’ (10/80)]
      4. *Imam Ahmad*
lmaam Ahmad رحمه الله was asked: “Is Allah سبحانه وتعالى above His ‘Arsh, above the seventh heaven, separate from (all of) His creation, and is His knowledge and power encompassing everything in every place?”
      He رحمه الله replied:
“Certainly. (He is) above the Throne and His Knowledge is in every place.”

Allah is not physically above the throne with his essence, that's kufr due to Allah created time and space. He does not change nor is he like His creation. Regarding Istawa, we Asharis afirm the attribute but don't define it because it would liken Allah to his creation. We leave the meaning to Allah. Defining it would lead to an rational impossibility and kufr.
Imam Tahawiyyah states in Aqeedah at Tahawiyyah, “He [Allah] is not contained by the six directions” [Al-Tahawiyy, Aqidatul Tahawiyya]. So, the Imams of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jammah stating Allah is above the throne has nothing to do with direction rather it's His supremacy, sovereignty and subjugation over the entirety of creation.
My advice to anyone studying the religion, go with the majority not the minority when in reference to the Aqeedah of the Muslims, however one can differ on Fiqh, but the creed (Aqeedah) of the majority of the 1400 years has always remained the same. There are many Hadiths and secondary narrations on maintaining beard. There is Fard and Sunnah. There is the way of Prophet ﷺ and his companions. This is where Madhabs helps us to understand an issue and find a ruling. Doing it on our own would only make us a part of Fitna.
Marwan ibn Salim al-Muqaffa’ said, I saw Ibn Umar (May Allah Most High be pleased with them both) take hold of his beard and cut that which exceeded a handful. (Sunan Abi Dawood 2357)
Abu Hanifah narrated from al-Haytham that Abu Quhafah (May Allah Most High be pleased with him) was brought to the Prophet ﷺ and his beard was dishevelled. He ﷺ said, ‘If only you would cut it.’ He ﷺ indicated with his hand, pointing to the edges of his beard. (Al-Aathaar of Imam Abu Yusuf, 1038 & Musnad Abi Hanifah 1233)
The meaning is, trim from the edges of the beard - length and breadthwise - and leave the recommended amount which is a fist-length. This is moderation between the two blameworthy extremes. Namely, lengthening, without trimming and shaving, or, cutting to the extent of eradication. In the narration of al-Tirmidhi, it is narrated from (Sayidina) Ibn Umar that he (the Prophet) peace be upon him used to trim his beard length and breadthwise. (Imam Ali al-Qaari, Sharh Musnad Abi Hanifah)
al-Nakhai said: I am astonished by an intelligent man with a long beard. Why does he not trim it and render it between two beards. Meaning long and short. Moderation in everything is most virtuous. (Imam Ali al-Qari, Mirqaat al-Mafateeh)

My dear brother, sayidunna Abdullah ibn Umar would keep a fist length beard and he was famous for being very specific in his following of the Prophets صلى الله عليه وسلم sunnah، such that during his travels he would stop in specific places to relieve himself where he remembered the prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم had also done so.
This is just one of the daleels used by the fuqaha for the opinions they come to.

Shaving beard is completely halal! There is no Quran verse which says that it's haram! In what rights does the hadith have contradict what the Quran hasn't made haram or indicated as haram?
