Thanks for sharing this video. I agree with you completely. I purchased my XT2 on sale at the end of 2019 because I was frustrated by the quirky limitations on my XT1. I shoot both cameras all the time and enjoy them equally. The image quality from both cameras is fantastic IMHO. Those were wonderful images you showed BTW! 😊

    Great video!
Your English is fantastic, specially for not being your first language.
You explained everything I could want to learn about the X-T2.
Also, the photos at the end are gorgeous!

it really depends what type of scene you want to shoot I guess. The X-T2 has a little more dynamic range, and has generally lower noise levels compared to the X-T1 (about a stop when looking at high ISO ranges, above ISO 4000).
Not that the X-T1 is not usable in low light, it very much is, but the X-T2 will for sure give you better results. Also the autofocus system is a lot more complete on the X-T2's side, while it's still a bit crude on the X-T1. Ergonomics are also better if that's important for you
Also, it might not matter to you right now, but the X-T2 is a much better video camera than the X-T1, so if you want to record a bit of video in the future, the X-T2 is definitely a better choice.
Also, if you don't mind the lack of weather sealing, you can look into the smaller, generally less expensive versions of those cameras that are the X-T10 and X-T20, both of these will deliver the exact same performance

@@uncertainrelease thank you very much for your answer, i do a bit of video ( not as much as shooting photo) plus that i like to shoot in every weather ( a little bit of rain) so weather sealing seems to tend my choice to the xt-2 (for versatility & ergonomy), thank you!

Hi I’m so curious to let me know your idea on xt1 for both photo and video ? Is that really bad at video to make RUclips !? I’m a beginner and I’m not sure if it worth to pay near 150$ for xt2 to upgrade it ? Or I get xt1 ?

only 150 bucks difference? That's a no brainer, get the X-T2.
The T2 is an amazing video camera for the price, you get super sharp 4K video, Log profiles if you want to grade your footage, as well as HD 120p that doesn't look like it was shot on a 2008 compact.
The X-T1 is nearly useless for video work, it's okay for occasional video snippets, but I'd avoid it for anything else, even if all you want to to is 1080p video. Dynamic range is atrocious, you don't have any control over the autofocus, or pictur eprofile being used, it's all you want to avoid in a video camera.
Even when I wasn't doing video at all, I didn't bother with the X-T1, while I still use the X-T2 regularly for video work.

The X-T1 feels like a fun Camera, like the X-E1 & 2. The X-T2 feels alot different to me. Not only is it quite heavy. It just feels to much like a work / pro camera to me. Even though there are slight visual differences. For my taste, the X-E1 & X-pro1 have the nicest jpegs. So the X-T1 is out for me, as is the much improved X-E2. I can't do the x-trans ii sensor.

Hey there, funny enough I'm also a Nikon shooter! recently got a D700 and already have experience with the D60 and D7000 !
You're also getting quite the collection of Fuji cameras, I'd love to put my hands on an X-Trans 1 camera one day.
      Thanks for commenting !

These cameras have been out for many years & many people have already showed the difference between these two cameras you are very late in the game what is really going on

both of those camera are excellent value for beginners and advanced users alike. There haven't been a lot of videos talking about the differences between them recently, so I figured it could give it a shot, like a 2022 updated look.
This being said, I'm not in any kind of "game", I just do what I feel like doing on this channel, and this was one of the videos I wanted to make.

Very useful & most appreciated. Gus & gals like me, who don’t give a hoot about video or action photography are wasting their money on the latest & greatest, as that’s where the majority of “upgrades” are gained. Comparisons like this one help many who need the hands on experience you offer, so keep up the good work. By the way, EyE shoot with an X-E2, an X-T1, and an X-T20, each less than $500 in mint very low shutter activation Ed condition, & get to shoot with my favorite sensor, the Trans2 Ta Boot!

      So what.
Many people still buy these cameras used and appreciate multiple reviews.
