Thank you so much for this review! I'm doing my research on companies to work with as I start up a shop and Vograce has had the most promise for me so far!
I'm also currently thinking about making products out of my art. How do you keep track of your incoming orders and how do you organize everything around this business so you can get an overview of which orders you have shipped and what every order consisted of and so on?
I use Etsy! They keep track of it for you in your dashboard! You get notified of any orders that were placed and there's also a tab where you can see completed orders. Etsy can also create a spreadsheet for you within a given date range of all the orders, the amount and the items that were placed. I've used WooCommerce before as well and they have a similar feature. I'm sure Shopify / Wix / Squarespace does too, if you choose to go through them. I hope this helps!
Wow thank you for giving insight on this. It was a wonderful video! I want to use vograce, what program do you recommend for drawing the art to send to vograce? Do you use Procreate or have a preferred software? I noticed in this video you were using clip studio paint, does this require an Apple Pencil? I couldn’t tell if you were using an iPad or a drawing device of some sort. If you could help explain that would be amazing thank you again ❤
I'm glad you found it helpful! I use a Wacom tablet to draw - they have their own drawing pen! And honestly any drawng or design software you are comfortable using is fine - procreate, Adobe Photoshop, illustrator, clip studio paint, Krita, etc! Vograce accepts files like PNG files, PSD files, etc. so as long as you can save your artwork in the correct format, you're good! I use clip studio paint because I don't have an Adobe subscription and I don't have an iPad so can't use procreate. I hope this helps!
Thank you! This was really insightful as I’m looking a what I can offer and I love your designs! I’m not sure if you mentioned it and I missed it but how long did it take you from order date to receive ?
I'm glad you found it helpful! So the timing can depend on the time of year that you place your order because there are some times when they probably have a lot more orders to manufacture (probably around our big holidays like Christmas -- also need to consider when their big holiday breaks are in China), but for this one it took about a month from the time I approved the proof to the time I received the physical package!
It depends when you order with them as well like if it’s close to their holidays, but that’s the unfortunate part about working with overseas manufacturers!
