Idk why I rolled up on this video but I did. I started having severe anxiety when my husband died in 2015 at 42yo. It’s been so difficult to find a reason to get out of bed and face the day. Over the years it hasn’t improved much, if anything it worsens. Cause now we have a Grandson & when he looks up and says “Hi Mommaw”, I’ll never here him say Papaw with it. Our other daughter is now 11, she will never know how much he loved her, she’ll never get to take that special photo with her Dad before she leaves to go to her 1st Prom, it’s so unfair. I’m so sorry, I did not mean to do all this. My point was is simply this, this little video of music you’ve pieced together is absolutely beautiful and healing (as weird as that may sound). It just makes me feel like I’ve climbed through the worst parts and I’m finally at the top!!!! 11:46 Especially right around this part. I’m at the top and looking around. Now all I have to do is enjoy what’s around me. ❤ Thank you.
Thank you so much for sharing your story. Grief is the most beautiful struggle. As someone who has grieved a lost child for more than a decade, I want to encourage you to keep breathing, keep walking. There are no "stages" to grief. I believe it is a merry-go-round. When *that* horse comes around, it's okay to feel whatever feelings happen to ride on it this time. But know that the merry-go-round turns, and the feelings and *that* horse will move on. This approach has helped me more than any "get over it" "move on" mentality. The grief rides in, but it rides on. I hope you are doing well today. You will be in my thoughts.
