I think that what people really mean when they say that Sasha has no artistry is that she is simply not this little fairy-like pretty skater with a longing and sad face that some people would prefer. She is strong and athletic and charismatic and different from your average skater. I feel like that's something that people still look down on when it comes to female skaters. People tend to mistake something not catering to their personal preference for it being bad. It doesn't say anywhere in the rule book that you're allowed to use just classical music, for example.
I liked her short programm much better than her free, because it's a lot more artistic. The free programm is just her skating around to gain speed for her quads with barely any choreography. I don't blame her personally as I definitely think they favored Anna and gave her an artistically better programm. Tbh I think most of the eteri girls have pretty cookie cutter choreography except Kostornaia.
Trashcan't they all have the same choreographer and I’m pretty sure Anna has been with him since forever so I would make sense to him favoring her but honestly he’s a mediocre choreographer anyways and all the girls could do much better with a new coach and choreographer. Sure they might not jump as many quads maybe even loose some but they’ll develop healthier techniques that will provide a longevity to their career like how yuzuru hanyus coach brain orswell has coached many champions over many Olympics consistently.
That's the thing. You can be artistic even you don't dance to the typical classic music. People are not calling her non-artistic because of that. But because she is not very musical and danceable. Look Tessa Virtue- she is not "artistic" in the stereotypical type of way that you are talking about. But she still is on fire
For realll this performance is really underrated, so unlucky for that fall, she would probably be olympic champion without that or with some other jump instead
Watching this compared to the free skate, there is a lot more expression in her face and body movements tailored to the music and persona of the performance. In the free skate her movements and face didn't match the song as well. I just watched Anna's and in that section she used her entire body to match the music and it makes a huge difference. I think Alexandra's short is better than her free skate in that sense.

Can't say enough how much I love this program. Love the step sequence, love transition in and out. I think it's her best program and Sasha performed it best here at the Olympics. Besides the fall on 3A, she nailed every element as she took time and lingered where and when it's needed. I wish she would consider improving her skating skills and artistry though because it shows here that she can do it. That'll contribute greatly to her PCs.

Finally I watched Trusova’s attempt on triple axel and although she did not land it on this important occasion but I can tell she landed enough times during her training. From the artistic standpoint, I really really like her super dynamic technique. It might have been great for her and her team if she had landed it. Go Trusova. I’d love to see you land this jump in front of Japanese skaters some day.
She matched her energy, the music, the vibe, the intensity perfectly. That is what makes a program great. Balletic movements and light cheery music can be disgusting when the rest of the peices arent there. Ballet is conservative and unfair. Always has been...she deserved so much more.

@@lorigbasmajian3843on speed, technique and general skating skills sasha takes the lead over anna any day. but i do have to say that anna has less worse (saying “better” would be a stretch considering tutberidze’s choreographer) artistry, better landings and in-air position, more flexibility and her crossovers look a lot lighter than sasha’s: if you look at the crossovers during cruella, sasha sort of pushes her legs to gain speed and it looks quite rough, whereas anna has smoother movements. in conclusion, they both have their ups and downs

what I can see is here is her persistence in working out 3A, the point that she never gives up has eventually lead her to success and I just love the way she perform in this exotic program that nobody can replace her!

Именно они украшают наш мир, при этом рискуя всем, но делают это...В годы юности служил в ВМФ , мне на учениях пришлось тоже рисковать, чтобы поехать в отпуск, в противном случае стать посмешищем...к сожалению в последние годы побеждают на олимпиадах и при этом ничем не рискуя, рациональные, хитрожопые - Загитова, Щербакова.. Но для меня и многих - ты, Трусова- Олимпийская чемпионка!!! За красоту, за риск!!
Загитову оставьте в покое, техника у неё на голову выше медведевой была. Алина простая девчонк из глубинки, никакая не хитрожопая, за ней папа не всемогущий, простой тренер хоккейного клуба. Аня конечно подходит вашей характеристике, какой многоплановый путь прошла, до олимпа довели. Сашу вытащили обманным путём из ангелов, чтоб не мешала ане на ОИ. Не надо было уходить саше, плющ её сделвл б чемпионом, не жалея сил и средств. Ошиблась девочка. На этапах гранпри понятно было как тащут аню, проиграла майе, быстро убрали майю, остальных претендентов на 1 место. Лизу спаровали на вмех этапах с Камилой, чтоб на 1место не вышла. Полно таких моментов.

Бесподобно! Я с восхищением отношусь к людям, которыемогут сделать то, что не могут другие!! Именно они украшают наш мир, при этом рискуя всем, но делают это...В годы юности служил в ВМФ , мне на учениях пришлось тоже рисковать, чтобы поехать в отпуск, в противном случае стать посмешищем...к сожалению в последние годы побеждают на олимпиадах и при этом ничем не рискуя, рациональные, хитрожопые - Загитова, Щербакова.. Но для меня и многих - ты, Трусова- Олимпийская чемпионка!!! За красоту, за риск!!
Загитову оставьте в покое, техника у неё на голову выше медведевой была. Алина простая девчонк из глубинки, никакая не хитрожопая, за ней папа не всемогущий, простой тренер хоккейного клуба. Аня конечно подходит вашей характеристике, какой многоплановый путь прошла, до олимпа довели. Сашу вытащили обманным путём из ангелов, чтоб не мешала ане на ОИ. Не надо было уходить саше, плющ её сделвл б чемпионом, не жалея сил и средств. Ошиблась девочка. На этапах гранпри понятно было как тащут аню, проиграла майе, быстро убрали майю, остальных претендентов на 1 место. Лизу спаровали на вмех этапах с Камилой, чтоб на 1место не вышла. Полно таких моментов.
Так и есть
