    • @juliebrady24
      @juliebrady24 2 года назад

@@gracecotton9819 Sure. Your blood/body cannot become too acidic, nor can it become too alkaline. The body very tightly controls Ph because if it doesn't, you die. Just a little bit of research on the subject will make things very clear. I love Dr. Berg, but all his videos that discuss adjusting the Ph of your body by eating or drinking things are not based in real science, whatsoever. I dont know why he does so many great videos, but then this bogus one...Maybe because he sells ACV supplements? Who knows.

For the last few years, I have been taking the juice of a lemon in water each day, and also acv before meals. As far as I know, the cataracts are still there, but the lemon juice certainly helps with oxalates.

@@gracecotton9819 Yes, I've researched cateracts as well. The best thing I learned about them is that they are the result of accumulated exposure to too much sunlight and that certain deficiencies can increse your chances of getting them. Sadly though, once you have them, no amount of supplement can reverse them, and the only thing that can help is surgical removal. Most elders in my family have had them. My mother raised me to always wear my sunglasses outdoors... she had her cataracts removed at 63. I'm 51 and so far, so good.

    Dear Dr Berg.
Really appreciate your efforts explaining health problems and how they can be treated. For example this video about Cataracts is simple and straightforward to understand for anyone without medical education.
My wife recently has been diagnosed with Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome which is a type of Glaucoma. Doctors said that it not treatable as they do not know the cause of this illness and all they can do is just to prescribe eye drops to lower intraocular pressure. Also they said that at some point later they will offer her an eye surgery operation. Sadly, they admitted that there will be no guarantee for improvement in her vision, and as I understand it may lead to comple blindness. Saying all that, I would like to ask you, to make a research and issue related video covering this issue, so it will be helpful for my wife as well as for many people with similar experience.
    With kindest regards

Confused, slightly, by your final comment about having enough calcium to allow you to wind down. My understanding is that calcium in muscle cells equals contraction, that magnesium is what lets it back out, so they can relax. Hence, the product Calm. I’ve found in my work as a personal assistant that sufficient magnesium has eliminated at least one case of atrial fibrillation, which I think might be characterized as the heart unable to relax. The employer in this case has found it to be a life saver, and has been allowed to discontinue prescription blood thinners. Granted, there’s a plethora of plants and other minerals involved, but magnesium is the absolute essential daily supplement. It also helped him remove calcium from soft tissues of his knees, which had become excruciating and immobilizing, by external as well as internal application of this miracle element.

I just had to comment! When I lived in Hawai'i I worked for a Japanese family. The man had cateracts, didn't want to have surgery, he was nearly blind. He sometimes needed a bit of help. He was such a dear, sweet man with a great sense of humor. When we were out somewhere, running his errands, people noticed me guiding him as we walked. They would ask me if he was blind. I would tell them, "No".
Then, the really nosy ones would ask, "Cateracts?"
The man would smile really big. He spoke perfect English. He would pipe up in a high voice & say, "No! Rincon Conto-rental."
It made me laugh every time he did this!

I believe the doctor is confusing the alkaline/acidic comparisons. He's suggesting taking steps to make the body more alkaline while stating the body is too alkaline. Apple cider vinegar, lemon water etc... are acidic to the taste but are alkaline when ingested in the body. They help balance our pH, which is a good thing. Of course there are cases where ones body may be too alkaline and may need treatment. However, in most cases, due to poor diet and lifestyle choices, many people are overly acidic. Proper pH levels should ideally range between 7.35 and 7.45. Never before have I heard of or seen any research relating to alkaline levels and cataracts, though it may be possible. I've seen my mothers vision improve with simple diet changes and a more alkaline, plant based diet. Additionally, regarding calcium absorption, many people are magnesium deficient. The human body can not properly absorb calcium without sufficient amounts of magnesium. The over calcification of the body is worth researching. Whether it be bone spurs, muscle and joint pain, cataracts, etc... magnesium deficiency is a serious problem in modern society that most people are not aware of. Supplementing magnesium could have lasting benefits. It's worth researching.

I did the picture of my eyes but it didn't show what the shadow is, "she said". I don't want that stuff in my eyes so I refused plus I don't think she knows what she's talking about. She told me cataracts are caused by the sun. I disagreed bc of what I've read and she tried to shuffle me out of her office asap by talking real fast and not giving me much time to talk about my concerns. @@Drberg Hello Dr,
Thank you for this explanation video. I am suffering from JRA since my early young age (4 and 1/2 years old now 32) and when it triggered off course doctors at the time prescribed me high doses of corticoids so with your explanation I can see why (if I can speak this way). I remember the day some weeks/months after this treatment begined that my vision blured in an instant like if a veil was put on my eyes.
Since then it has evolved slowly but now it's becoming really annoying especially for driving and thinking of surgery (but frankly I'll prefer not). Would you have a specific recommendation to alleviate this and/or for jra management in general ? Thanks.

I had cancer 8 years ago, and I have read that an acidic body causes cancer and an alkaline body does not. I also was told by my eye doctor on my first visit to him that if he dilated my eyes I would go blind permanently. I had to come back and he used a laser to burn a hole through my eyes, to relieve the pressure. Two separate visits. After all of that he said I would have multiple cataracts in both eyes in 10 years.

This info sounds true to me. We have a neighbor who was becoming disabled and he heard about apple cider vinegar. His body was being destroyed by arthritis. He is not an old guy. After one week of taking apple cider vinegar everyday in his water, he went back to work pain-free. My husband started taking a teaspoon a day and he feels like it helps his aches and pains. One of my clients told me about putting lemon juice in the water I drink to relieve body aches and it works! I told my family doctor about it. He said he would research this. I have a cataract and my eye doctor said I need surgery. I am going to try to be more diligent with the vinegar and lemon juice, and also add a little cranberry juice. I tried Can-C Drops and Castor Oil. My sight got worse.I do not want surgery but I need my sight for my work. Happy others are having good results with Castor Oil.

Appreciate the sharing of your knowledge; there are so many knowledgeable, helpful things.
One thing that truly shocked and surprised me in my life (after a lot of research) was to find out how truly destructive to your body those supposedly helpful heart meds are. Warfarin, for me, caused a stroke in my eye and caused damage to my optic nerve, taking half the sight from that eye (within a little over an hour). My Ophthalmologist mentioned three years ago that I had the 'beginnings' of Cataracts and he may have to do an operation in a year or two. Three years down the road and my vision has improved a bit in my left eye and no cataracts. I put a drop of Organic Castor Oil in each eye every night. One of my meds, Carvedilol, damages your eyesight. It also can also tighten up airways, making it difficult to breathe. I almost lost my life one night because of this. Only by being hooked up to a forced oxygen tank with a 'silence of the lambs' helmet on, did I survive. I could write an essay on the 'life threatening' adverse affects my heart meds are causing and the Herbs I take to survive, but this RUclips 'article' isn't about that. How are other people surviving is beyond me!!

It’s dropped from my sinuses (clear now) to my respiratory (tomorrow appt with pulmonary doc referral. In June I have appt with surgeon for eyes. Moral of story...do not get sick. I take apple cider vinegar most days (had cancer 5+ years ago). My kind of cataracts the doc says is directly due to steroids. I asked which ones...and without hesitation she said, “ALL of them.” Interesting, eh?

Alcohol, sugar, excessive red meat, wheat and many more are very acid forming. Testing and lifestyle survey are key.

I thought that the level of ph in your urine and saliva actually reflects the level of acidity/alkalinity in your body. I also read that foods like meat which are alkaline will generate acids once metabolized..and that foods like lemon which are acidic will make your body more alkaline once metabolized...

I don't know what to think anymore. I can't keep this acid/alkaline thing straight, it's confusing!

Grass fed and grass finished beef is different from beef that is not grass fed, etc. Wild game would also work. Must stop eating beef that is not grass finished and grass fed. Make same change whenever possible for all dairy, butter, cream, cheese, etc, pasture raised cow sources; some are imported. Our farmers market here in town has a vendor with grass fed beef.

Everyone seems to have a different opinion regarding alkalinity and acidity. As a viewer I need to know who is correct !

And me too! What is confusing is the body and also the blood. You could have an alkaline body but an acidic blood. Confused!

Thank you so much, Dr. Berg. Your advise is very helpful for me and it is not that difficult to follow.
