Beautiful place to fish Congratulations, it reminds me here in *Brazil* where I do my Fisheries. Hugs and good fishing.👍🎣
Love watching your vids from New Zealand. Reminds me of our west coast. Great tips on crab / mussel presentation! Cool to see the young fulla getting involved.
That’s awesome. I don’t fish very often and I had no one to teach me as a youngster. If possible could you do a tutorial on how to handle different fish species? Excellent videos. Keep up the good work.
"its not always about catching, but appreciating the views and appreciating nature" Well said boet. Love your videos, please keep them coming. Blessings!

I usually try with a short sinker trace but till try your method. I was actually targeting them today but no luck...Thank you. Very informative and exciting
Awesome....thanks... yes Couple of guys like the shorter sinker trace...that only creates tangles and twists the hook trace...or that is my experience. Give it a go and if you don't like it...go back to the way you prefer. Every guy has his style🤙🏻 tight lines!
Hi I love the persistents!! And more importantly the optimisis well done buddy Very nice video clean clear Well done overall Tight lines going into 2019 game

Hi xander, thank you for the video it was very informative but I just wanted to know, were you using a sliding hook instead of sinker? Was your sinker static and the hook sliding on the leader?
@@zoolookfishing I remember that spot very well. It was the 1st time I saw someone catch a edible fish. if im correct There is a rock called 'leinjie's klip'?... Great spot indeed
I briefly explained what to look for in the video...look for breaking waves...where the waves are breaking that is you shallower sections and that is where the bank will be...if it is not breaking that is the gutter or gully.
Dont know bud, depends how many peckers there are..when younreelnout after your first cast you know if you should keep your bait in longer or reel it out quicker. If your bait was cleaned then obviously reel it out after a shorter period of time, continue doing that till you find that when you reel out that there were still bait left then you know you should stick to that time limit... every day is different and you should implement this with all species.

I also prefer a shorter sinker trace specifically amongst the reefs. When you have a fish on your sinker does not hook up as easily.
Great video boet.....got yourself a new subscriber here
Thanks! And welcome! Hope you enjoy the vids to come!

Thank you! I appreciate!
awesome catch tell me was this in east london sea vale where you caught the Steenbras
Could you please make a video on white mussel collection, show us what to look for on the beach.
Use one of those toy nets for kids to catch the crabs. Its much easier!!!

The crab /mussel combo bait is absolute genius

So informative! Dankie Mnr.
Baie dankie. Hy sal die job 100% doen!
You both did really well. That yellow braid you got on?

Gloves also work lekker 😂😉
Absolutely! Forgot those at home🙈
Haha, I have always rigged a crab with a J hook, will give a circle a try next time.
Circles work perfect bud. Steenies love to swallow the hook and that's not ideal for releasing.

Tips on how to identify the banks & trofs?
I briefly explained what to look for in the video...look for breaking waves...where the waves are breaking that is you shallower sections and that is where the bank will be...if it is not breaking that is the gutter or gully.
How long will you leave a bait for them in before reeling it in to make a new bait.
How far do u think were the banks ?? In meters ?
Bru that first bank was probably 120-140m . But the second and 3rd banks where close...probably 80m.
Where did you catch the fish
Are you in george
