GHOST TOWN IN THE SKY Abandoned Animatronics | Country Critter Jamboree Band

- Ghost Town in the Sky is home to the Country Critter Jamboree Band. We did a 2 hour hike 4000 ft up a mountain covered in poison oak and kudzu to see them. Here’s a closer look at these guys and their backdrops as of July 2022.

This is perfect, you took such initiative filming them up close and in detail, it’s exactly what we needed because they are so out of reach. I had done the same hike up there with the intent to find these guys a month ago but unfortunately I missed them because the sun was going to set. Now I know how they’re looking right now. These characters were manufactured by a company called creative presentations. They are no longer around. They went out of business in the early 2000s. A lot of the creative presentations animatronic shows used the same characters interchangeably in different shows, and oftentimes also used a lot of the same songs. If I'm not mistaken, the show tapes for several of their shows were recorded by a company called Triad AV, and they're still around. Not sure if they archive their work, but there's a good chance they might have a master copy of the tape.

No problem. Look up the jungle jamboree from Castle Fun park. Some of the characters are slightly similar. Same company made that show. I'm curious. Was the controller still intact? Like the actual rack that contains the reel to reel player and the computer?
Actually Creative Presentations recorded their own audio for most of their shows. Triad AV mostly made their control systems.

@@papachillothezappey4050 I know Triad produced the music and scripts for the Pantones, which was the first set of characters at celebration station, made by creative presentations. They have that on their portfolio if you go on their website. Otherwise, I have no clue about any of the other creative presentations shows. Wish we had clean audio for them
Whoever built those animatronics seemed to be trying to replicate the style Creative Engineering used when making their animatronics. Not complaining, these animatronics were probably amazing when they were used, and it’s a shame that they were just left there to rot. I hope they get restored one day and I hope that they’ll be able to perform again.
Also, the name “Ghost Town In The Sky” didn’t age well.

These guys look so cool, I can’t even imagine how amazing and colorful they looked in-person before decaying. But as someone who loves animals, the Wild West, and cowboys, this also made me sad. If I could, I would restore these animatronics and give them another chance at life. Thanks for showing this!
you can definitely tell some teens went there and went hammers one these guys since a few months prior they didnt look like this, though they may not have an name these guys should be sent to castle fun park for parts of the final show, or private owners
Wow- I saw someone else that went up there and filmed these and they were in better condition and all still on the stage except one that was wrapped in a tarp. This means other people have gone up since the first video and destroyed them. They are all still on a functioning stage that would still spin around to reveal another animatronic behind the first. Now the ones that were in the back of the spinning stage are broken on the floor. They even pulled out the little critters that would pop up behind the tombstones. Just sad! Someone needs to go to and save them before some jerks destroy them more for fun.
Do you have the link to the video in which you saw them go up there and check out the bots? I've been doing a lot of research on these guys and am deeply interested to see their current condition since this video.

sadly noone did. they've been basically destroyed with their heads ripped off and cosmetics torn.
I remember seeing this show when I was a kid in the early 1990's
some of my absolute favorite animatronic characters. creative presentations have such charming works ❤ I’m hoping I get to see these guys one day

When the first clip of the band shows at 0:08, you can tell that hunk of foam and legs in the center was a character at one point. I'm shocked this is the only character that was blown to bits by vandalizers

I think this the animatronic band Mrbeast found in the $70,000 hide and seek video.
Dayum, Miss Piggy was so down in the dumps that she grew a 5 o'clock shadow. Shame though, the character designs lookes topnotch.

my friend went here when she was 3 she told me that the animatronics voixes cracked and tyhey were sing a weird way and she wen go pad on the monkey head who plays thye piano and whe she paded him he looked at her in the dead eyes she freaked out and she ran back to her mommy saying im scared i wanna go home while crying and they went back home.
Did you get them and salvage them bc we know what will happen to them when this place has new plans

Most likely if the owner sells them, there is a road up to where they are
Someone recently went up there and stole all their heads, along with the side characters. So chances aren't looking so good
