You should get a shower curtain liner (cheap clear or white plastic curtain) that sits on the inside so you don’t have to put the decorative shower curtain inside when you shower. Your decorative curtain will never get wet and dirty and will last much longer. It will also never look dirty since it stays dry. The liner is usually $3 or less. You will never have to wash your shower curtain, I just replace the liner once a year or sometimes even less. Whenever it starts looking very dirty and worn.
Sophia, you could do a clear curtain liner that stays on the inside and have the black and white curtain stay on the outside so it doesn't get wet/mildew. Then replace the liner when needed.
Looks great! You should try white fabric shower curtain liners. They stay in the tub and your decorative curtains can then stay outside of the tub. So much easier than bringing in the curtain each time. Bonus: the liners are machine washable so you can keep them clean and sanitary.
Your tub looks so much better that bathroom the boys and guests will love it . Can't wait to see the rest of the bathroom transformation. You did a wonderful job it .❤
WOW! The bathroom looks so cute. What a transformation! Thank you for the inspiration to try things we haven't done before and to make the best of what we have!
Sophia just buy regular clear liners and hook them in back of your fabric curtains. That way your fabric curtains won’t stain and can keep clean for longer. The plastic ones can stay inside the tub and the other ones outside! That’s how I have mine
Bathroom looks great! I think a pedestal sink would be great in there since both boys aren't home full time they don't need the vanity storage with both medicine cabinets.
Ha ha you guys can’t be hanging on that, Willie, I don’t think either of us will be doing that. I love it, as a mother of two grown sons I still have conversations like that. They will always be our little boys
Sophia you did an amazing job. I wish I was as brave as you to tackle something like that. I love the shower curtain. Get a shower liner so you don’t have to wet the shower curtain and it will always look nice on the outside. Looking forward to the sink update. TFS! 🤗
One woman's opinion: frost the bathroom window in lieu of a curtain. Because the shower curtain is nearly touching the window curtain, it would need to match to look best. Frosted would also provide more visual space.
Sophia, an awesome job and y’all did a great job hanging the shower curtains!! If you notice the horizontal stripe match when you pull the curtains together!!!
❤ how cute...I came back to finish watching and accidentally clicked on old video by mistake, thinking it was this one....there's Willy handing you his wish list for his 8th Birthday🎉 " the ones circled!"...beyond adorable and how time flies! 😅
Brilliant job, Sophia. The shower curtain looks really great. I really like the black and white stripe look. The tiles look lovely now it’s all matching. The door handle matching with the others on that floor is good too.
Very nice sophia you sure aren't afraid to tackle many projects you are a role model for other housewives that depend upon their husband's to do these things and gripe when he takes a lot of time
Looks fantastic Sophia ! If you ever decide to add a clear plastic shower liner inside your curtain, they sell double sided shower hooks, I have some and they work great. Only need the one rod !
It's amazing how much paint and a new shower curtain can make a room look so updated. We recently painted my son's bathroom floor. He bought a house that needs a lot of updating so keep in a budget painting was the best option. We used Rustoleum floor paint kit. It came out beautiful. I was surprised how durable it is. Looking forward to more DIY's and garden updates.
You would be able to get a fabric shower curtain liner that sits inside hang from same hooks the fabric liners are washable and hang nicely as opposed to the plastic curtain liners been using them for years great
Absolutely beautiful, Sophia! And so smart to have just the washable water-proof curtain to slip off for the laundry, rather than another layer of cheap plastic curtain to deal with in the shower. Great makeover!
Sophia, you are amazing!!! You are so good at doing things around your house. The bathroom is looking 100% better. I can't wait to see it when you are all done.
Looks really good, Sophia! You'd never know there had been the aluminum and glass enclosure around the tub. I'll be interested in knowing how the tub paint holds up. I had my tub professionally spray coated and vowed never again after reading what it does to the applicator's lungs. I couldn't have that on my conscience. Thanks for showing us this project.
Sofia I am very impressed with the amount of work you are able to do...I can do about 1/2 hour on the most minimal chores and then pass out on the bed and I am only 61 but broken...
oh I love the idea of painting the floor tiles black and white in a pattern that would be art deco ... and that's a decision based on what work you want to do. Looking good!
Sophia, I just love your motivation and courage to do all of the work you do in your home. Thought I had the courage to do things around my house, but not like you. Everything you have done so far looks amazing. Can't wait to see what you do next! ❤
Wow! It looks great! Love the shower curtain! I think removing the curtains on the window would really improve the look. I like your idea of frosting the windows instead of curtains.
It looks amazing. The toilet thing, I agree. I was invited to a formal dinner party. Formal dinning room. Guess where the toilet was. The door was right in the dining room. Seriously the toilet was ten feet from the table.
Hi Sophia, great job really nice bathroom. Love it! I noticed you mentioned being an empty nester pretty soon. Can you please do a video about it bc l also am almost there. I only have my son left and l know that sooner or later l will be an empty nester too. It was hard in the beginning but l came to realize that it's part of life. Eventhough my adult children are very much in my life l still miss having them around the house. Aw well like they say in french, C'est la vie.😊
Sophia, have you thought about getting another shower curtain to match and make curtains out of it? It looks great in the kitchen and would look great here. I can't wait for the vanity!!!
@@mygreatchallenge No, I meant the black and white ones you did in the bathroom. Get another one and make curtains out of it for the bathroom. Didn't you make curtains for your kitchen out of a shower curtain to match the new wallpaper?
@CaroleofOakview oh! Lol 😆 I did not understand what you meant at all! I think it woukd be too much. I want to keep it simple and open the room. Wouldn't that make the room smaller?
@@mygreatchallenge You're right, it would. It just looks like a pretty good-sized bathroom in your videos. I guess it just looks so much bigger with the shower enclosure gone. And it does!
It s just a matter of finding the right time to fix it. It s not necessarily punishment or laziness. Sometimes it s just not the right time to fix stuff. I had to have at least one kid out of the house and another one not inconvenienced with taking a shower somewhere else. So having the bathroom off limits for an entire week was not an inconvenience at all. When you have small children, it s not always practical and parents may have to wait for those projects. I don't blame them. The focus is on the kids, not on the aesthetic of the house. Know your priorities. That s all.
@@mygreatchallenge In my case things that are broken or don't work properly stay that way for a very long time. Projects don't get totally finished. I think we just get used to it. Lots of deferred maintenance at my house!

I agree, but I would consider upgrading to the nylon liner… nicer if you are in the shower than having a plastic liner sticking to you…
I get clear dollar tree liners and replace every 3 months
It looks great Sophia!
You and Willy are the sweetest team! Love watching you two work together on these projects!

The curtain is water resistant/ waterproof and mildew resistant and washable. I don't really need a liner. I can also wash it was needed.
Bathroom looks great! I think a pedestal sink would be great in there since both boys aren't home full time they don't need the vanity storage with both medicine cabinets.

You are. you just don't know it yet. Also I don't need a liner. This shower curtain is waterproof/ water resistant and mildew resistant.
One woman's opinion: frost the bathroom window in lieu of a curtain. Because the shower curtain is nearly touching the window curtain, it would need to match to look best. Frosted would also provide more visual space.
It s not. It s over a foot and a half if not more away. The prespective makes it look that way. It s ok to say you don't care for the curtain.
Sophia, an awesome job and y’all did a great job hanging the shower curtains!! If you notice the horizontal stripe match when you pull the curtains together!!!
I love, that Willie helps You and learns many skills 😊
Great job 👏 👍 👌 I love it

Sooo fresh looking… great job Sophia! … suggestion- maybe a clear shower liner added to the curtain and you can leave the curtain outside the tub.
I loved seeing Willie asking if you wanted some help. They are growing sooo fast. I am excited about your bath.
Very nice sophia you sure aren't afraid to tackle many projects you are a role model for other housewives that depend upon their husband's to do these things and gripe when he takes a lot of time
Black & White checkered tile floor would look great! But then again that would be a lot of work. Yes get new black and white towels. 🎶🎼🎵
Sofia it’s so nice that Willie is taking interest in helping you . Maybe you should think of painting the floor have boys help you. 👍🏻❤️
Looks fantastic Sophia ! If you ever decide to add a clear plastic shower liner inside your curtain, they sell double sided shower hooks, I have some and they work great. Only need the one rod !
Great job William! Your mom is teaching you a lot of skills that will save you tons of money when you own your own home!
Another great job. Might consider shower liner though….
Holy smokes Sophia, now this is top change. This looks amazing !

I was wondering if painting the floor tiles could be an option. I don't mind the tiles. They look ok. But the color is off.
Everything looks great! So clean and modern. I am a minimalist so I love the simplicity and clean lines.
I cant wait to see you do the sink! And I think your family gets inspired by all the hard work you put in the house, they appreciate you.

I am so impressed that you got it level on the first try! You’re a genius! Willy is such a great helper!
You've done a great job updating the bathroom so fare love the black and White theme, can't wait to see more.👍👍👍 Elsie 😊
that turned out just great!! good job and so clean looking!

A great job! I'd paint the floor and make a simple roman blind for the window in black. Well done!
Love your hair, Sophia! This multi-phase bathroom renovation looks wonderful.

Love the black and white. Great job you two!
Turned out great❤

Wonderful ❤
I would put a simple black valance curtain up. It will put a little color around the window. Also, yes, i would put up frost film on the window.
It looks amazing. The toilet thing, I agree. I was invited to a formal dinner party. Formal dinning room. Guess where the toilet was. The door was right in the dining room. Seriously the toilet was ten feet from the table.

I think it looks great, can’t wait to see the rest 😊
Great job Sophia (and Willie😉👍🏻) The bathroom looks so refreshed!! 👏🏻
Great job, love the black and white theme. I think if you got a white mini blind and just use that it would look great. Can’t wait to see the vanity.
