In the West, but also in parts of Asia such as Japan and China, the proportion of elderly people is increasing. We live longer. There are simply not enough young people who can be put into care for the elderly. Creating a complex robot that can help the elderly become more independent of help is an almost impossible task. But if a company is able to go that route and create something that is a little helpful and then develop further, I think it can be big. We don't need more entertainment. We need something to give us practical help in our old age.
Just hate when they go into unnecessary history lessons to kill time before getting to the actual story. I was expecting a robotic lazy susan, which actually sounds better than what Apple is actually doing. 😂

Tim Apple, if you're listening, just work on taking the Mac further in the right direction. No one wants or needs an Apple Robbie the Robot. Give us a Mac Pro with a proper CPU instead of the same SoC shipped in the Studio and support for graphics cards. Give us better gaming with full-on Wine/Proton compatibility for Windows games that can rival what Linux offers now on the x86 platform. Give us a Finder that doesn't constantly forget window sizes, positions and other settings, which is a regression from previous Mac OS X versions. Don't go chasing after silly "innovations" that cost a bundle to develop yet go on to be duds because you develop this stuff in such secrecy that you evidently fail to get sufficient user feedback to realize how bad the idea is in the first place. You need to do what made Apple great in the first place -- make existing products and ideas better. The iPhone was a great stroke of luck and genius combined, but you should not expect to get another gadget innovation like that any time soon, if ever. Get back to what was working for Apple in the 80s and again in the early 2000s.
