"The supplication of Bane. The whimper of Bhaal. The death mewl of Myrkul. Vermin, away! Thou wilt trouble us no more." I love how Withers spent more breath on roasting the Dead Three than explaining his presence.
Surviving hells, the dead three chosen and an Illithid invasion powered by godlike magic powers just to be sent to oblivion because you didn't behave in Withers party is still the funniest thing ever.
I, genuinely and honestly, love and appreciate all of these interviews. Thank you for doing them. You are a great interviewer, easily top 1% of those I've seen, and it makes a huge difference in the quality of interview and what you bring out of people. It is a pleasure watching all of these and learning more about everyone involved and what it means to each of them individually. It also makes it so much more clear about the 'how' BG3 caught the lightning it did. Every person is so earnest and passionate about the art and craft, while being intensely humble. BG3 was already special, it has the accolades to show for it, however this knowledge and experience has further elevated it for me. So yeah, thank you for doing what you do.
I love these interviews because I am huge literature and Shakespeare nerd and most of the voice actors are classically trained stage actors. When the guests go off and talk about their stage craft, I'm in nerd heaven :D But this also speaks volumes about Larian and their values. They got *classically trained actors* to do the VA. And it didn't stop there, there's the writers and the cinematographers and the muscians and the visual artists etc. etc. I have to be blunt here. That kind of appreciation for the arts and the humanities is very rare in the tech world. We art nerds see you, Larian.
Dan it was an incredibly interesting interview, like all the others that I've seen, thanks many times again and to Stephen Boxer for his incredible charisma and talent, he's great!
This is so lovely to listen to! Thank you for doing this, both of you! Dan, your interview skills are magnificent. You know when to pay attention to details mentioned, when to go off on a tangent and when to cut it off. Beautiful. (Also, I loved Stephen's comments on improper archaic grammar. I'm constantly wincing when listening, I shudder to think having to read it and simply submitting to just getting the job done and the show running. Kudos to professionalism!)

"I seemed to have suddenly cornered this market in 3,000 year old skeletons." -and my coffee is all over the monitor.
What a legend.

It tracks. Just like he spends more time roasting you for having no rizz than explaining anything on his part
@@BleachBasket108 I mean he critizises you either way.
"Thou may not be distracted."
vs
"No bosom-companion?"
@@Mediados I just think the thou walkest alone to personally be funnier
Withers has had quite a while to think of exactly how to cook those fools
his rant after the credits actually hints at him being jergal
Surviving hells, the dead three chosen and an Illithid invasion powered by godlike magic powers just to be sent to oblivion because you didn't behave in Withers party is still the funniest thing ever.
All I did was think about eating Karlachs brain and turn into a displacer beast to see if it went away. 😅

Factual.
"Hey Withers, need anything from the shops?"
"Noooooooooooooo..."
Genuinely made me giggle with this one, thank you
Yeees.

It also speaks volumes about YOU, Mr. Dan Allen.
And the BG3 community, too.
This game is very special, on so many levels.
The song Stephen mentioned for His Majesty is called "nun liebes weibchen" or "the cat duet" and is indeed attributed to Mozart.
Holy shit, he played Slave-knight Gael in DS3
His other game credit is for We Happy Few's General Byng!
"Neil and Beth are my youth helpers". The way I am CRYING laughing.
I love how passionate each voice actor is about their job. You just see the joy and pride immediately.
Found it! The first game was We Happy Few. I think Neil Newbon also worked on it.
This is one my most anticipated interviews!!!
Next we need JK Simmons. Or have you interviewed him already? I'd better check....
Withers is my favorite character in the game
Yes, he is at the same time benevolent and severe, approachable and yet aloof, very vague but always extremely precise. Absolutely fascinating.
Dan it was an incredibly interesting interview, like all the others that I've seen, thanks many times again and to Stephen Boxer for his incredible charisma and talent, he's great!
Finally! Had been searching for who voiced Withers and was getting no where!
He plays his majesty too?? 😮
I love the ending improv!
I'm so grateful you found him. I wanted to know who he is for a long time
Hissss ! I say Hisss ! 😸
I would love Stephen Boxer to read books for audio book content. He has such a commanding stage voice and could be successful at it!
I LOVE his majesty and all the cats in general ❤
And thus, thou walkest alone.
This is so lovely to listen to! Thank you for doing this, both of you!

It's unique to see a prospective such as this one. He's like an outsider looking in to an extent.
The best detail about Withers for me was his head twitching mid sentence, precisely like an old man.
Before i let you go, last one. Can Withers say something to Dan?
Withers: No!
Mr. Boxer I want to say that your creation of Withers (and His Majesty) is absolutely stunning! I'm a big fan of you!
Love the depth of the interviews and that you're interviewing the smaller role's actors.
I think the other video game he was in was "We Happy Few" in 2018.
He was also in Dark Souls 3 as Slave-Knight Gael
“No”. Is a full sentence.
I agree with the comments of love. I also joked about Dan catching all the actor's from bg3... It seems Dan took this as a challenge. I love it.
His Majesty is famous in our household
whithers is the only character to make me cry, loved him so much
I like to imagine Withers as a mentor like Max von Sydow in Dune or Judge Dredd
As a person who has mourned the decline in stately elderly masculine characters in media, I am grateful for his work.
Omg I didn't realize he was Gael!!!!!!!! (Dark Souls 3) 🤩
I can't believe he didn't mention the "milk maidens" cameo to be his weirdest one lmao
So it wasn't Jergal but Stephen Boxer all along.
Missed opportunity for Stephen to say "NO." at the end.
I was so glad to see you bring up the "no"! It's my absolute favorite gif and I use it for everything lol.
You mean he wasn't voiced by a reanimated Max Von Sydow?!
ah yes withers aka the GOAT
Holy shit, this guy was Gael??
Wow they capture him perfectly!
Only whithers looks younger IMO.
Care to explain?
?
NO.
Me when Withers opens his mouth
I know it would have made a horrible interview but I wish he just gave one word answers for every question and refused to elaborate.
GAEL WAS HIM????? NO WAYY
I was 90% sure it was anthony hopkins, lol
😍😍😍😍😍😍🤘 BIIIG Love for this man xD
Wow he's more fleshy in the flesh
Sounds like Bioshock or Fallout?
Does thou require a new ally?
Daddy Jergy
SO, THIS IS THE GUY WHO JUDGING ME FOR NOT HAVING BOSOM COMPANION? NOT COOL MAN NOT COOL
jokes aside, this is wholesome
