Remember this lesson friends. There are dark times ahead, but we can win if we don't give up, hold the line, and see it through til the end. It is darkest before dawn.
I think the rigorous physical & spiritual training that a Nak-Muay goes through is what stops him/her from giving up. I mean the amount of sweat & blood one has to invest in order to gather the skill teaches him/her to keep fighting till they can't fight no more & then go the distance.. When the body gives up the mind takes over.. When the mind gives up the heart carries on.

K-1 was funded by the Japanese conglomerate giants. So they have to do something to prevent Buakow, a Thai fighter, from dominating the ring for very long. Even if that's mean make him lose by the controversial decision. Ironically this kind of cheating would make Buakow, and many elite MT fighters, a knockout master. As it's the only way to win an international ring without any possible rig.
I won't watch K-1 till this day after the Masato fight. That was the worst judging I've seen in my 40 years of watching combat sports. Even Masato knew he got whooped.
@@jimijumjum86 Its called evolving. If Buakaw won all the time, at time people need to change the rules so that they can see if he could adapt. Im not saying Buakaw is not good, but all these blind fanboyism need to stop lol
I think Buakaw panicked when he saw he was rocked by that flurry and his mind had a block. Maybe it was his coach that restored his confidence and made him determined to fight back. A good coach is more valuable than you nay think 😉
You can see it in his eyes, when he got back up instantly, he had it with himself and after the break, he knew what he had to do and that was to focus and not take his opponent lightly. He could have destroyed him, especially in the extra round, just watch the whole fight - he spared him several times.
Actually if you watch the fight, after Buakaw got dominated, he started to adjust at the end of first round. Using jabs against Dida, shelling up when Dida threw fake cross, lead hook combo. Buakaw already started destroying Dida from the end of first round.
Thanks for giving everyone a heart to know that you can beat an opponent with lots of hard work and this just shows if your heart have given up the fight the outcome will be downward from then on... So the biggest mistake the undertake have done and shown was when he gave up immediately you can tell by his actions and face I hope he didn't and continue on with a proper positive set in mind I bet he probably could of defeated Buakaw even though I'm a very big fan of him I just thought If this undertaker had the positive heart to continue on he probably would of won as Buakaw was shaken and he quickly tried to finished off the fight as soon as possible before he would've been shaken off again... Great fight👍 The first time I watched Buakaw fight was in my Thai father in laws living room. I've followed Buakaw fights ever since. He has the heart of a lion. Exciting to watch. Dida gave him a good fight.
After watching how Buakaw dismantled Zambidis the leaping left hook was the perfect strategy to defeat the long guard used on Zambidis because it catches the lean back and gets you inside of the left switch kick. Great job by Dida to find and exploit the one weak spot.
That slow replay really shows that it hurts Buakaw. I am not sure that a lot of fighter would have been able to sustain that damage. "He was doing the chicken dance". Nice and funny way to say it lol
The intense part is when he start to smile after the knockout, but somehow i can feel that he felt a little sad and shockingly surprised coz nobody dare to fight him very much... I was shocked when I saw this match..i had never heard about this guy before and he almost just KO'd the absolute king of that era Buakaw . anyways how did he qualify for that competition (K1) i guess in some unconventional way. anyways he had a puncher's chance and went for it to go for any other strategy he would need more training a lot more,he couldn't even clinch figth and not kick very well either but he had a good stance and posture and could swing hard.. never saw him after or before this figth would be amazing to debut in k1 with knocking out Buakaw in the first round..he would become a star really fast
I still think, that he wasn't at 100 percent that day, cause he seems slow and tired, especially compared to the fights against Musashi. He took so many telegraphed shots, that he usually easy blocks and that he didn't go down is related to the years of the hardest conditioning, one can even imagine.

That's the problem with fighters who fight at the level of their opponents, the opponent can take them unawares at any time. Tyron Woodley has been accused of this, he can consistently fight at a tier 1 champion level against strong opponents as well as consistently lose to a weaker one. Usually strong fighters have to tone down their game to make the match entertaining or to cater to their unskilled training partners but it becomes a bad habit. It's just like that viral BJJ instructor who acted as a white belt, he gave advice at the end to give it your best effort always otherwise toning down your game becomes a bad habit.
from my perspective of this fight, Buakaw had so many chances to knockout Dida. but he seems he won't. it was clearly that Dida gassing out. at the same time, Buakaw just wont throw any punches and kicks that hard as if they were sparring (probably Buakaw did that for scoring) I guess Buakaw didn't want to "overly hurting" Dida.. besides, Buakaw isn't the knockout type fighter and for that, Buakaw earned my respect
No offense but are we being stupid? And the first round the Tie Fighter was only feeling him out and toying with him not at all fighting at his full potential.
