This car needs 500hp they should do 500hp 8k rpms for the gt and 550hp 9k rpms for the rs. That and theirs somethings missing from it that should be standards (led lights, premium sound, infotainment should be in full or bare minimum be apple car play/android auto compatable push button start as well) when you go to the configuration they really seem to nickle and dime you which shouldn't be synonymous with a premium brand that said this is an almost perfect spring summer and fall daily especially if they give it the 500hp I'm sure older 420hp models have alot of extra power in there. I'd either do this blue with red accents or white with red accents.. Definitely a car to get throw opf deletes and a jrc rear section maybe tint window and leave alone
You should have gotten the headlight spray nozzles painted in exterior color. The clear side markers look MUCH better than the orange. The yellow stitching is ok - but EVERYONE does yellow stitching with SB. SB is such a great color! I've got a '23 SB Spyder coming in a few months. Super excited!
Looks great! I have a similar spec coming in April (SB, LWBS, CF, Silver Leather & Silver seatbelts). I was also trying to match the seatbelt with the door pulls, but seeing how different they are is making me think twice. Thanks for sharing!
Congrats, very tasteful spec! Damn right that's a lifer. They don't make them like that no more. I have specced the CF buckets on my Spyder w heritage pack (Bordeaux+race tex). Black clippers are great - but 900 bucks for them is a lot IMO, especially if the interior is Bordeaux red
I was worried it was too much but I'm good with it. It's the exact same color as cornflower blue on VW GTI's and very similiar to the blue you see on the newer mustangs and Mazdas.
I looked at a Chalk White on Black for '21. Options are typical Porsche, overpriced. Good choice skipping the ceramic brakes, unless you were going to track it, an option that 90% of buyers will pass on. Recently purchased a Subaru Crosstrek for family transport (wife & 2 German Boxers). Porsche should take a hint from Subaru if they wanna know what LED headlights should work like in the darkness. Brightest headlights I've experienced while driving at night. Kudos to them for that.

Getting concerned though as it’s been 7 months. I was 9th on their list then and I’m still 9th unfortunately. Any chance you can share your deposit to allocation to build slot process and time frame? Thanks and looking forward to seeing your journey with the car!
I was next up for a 2021 allocation around feb 2021 but Porsche shortly thereafter shut it down production for the model year after having to recall those delivered in dec and jan. I then ended up with the first allocation for 2022 model year received around June. Had about a month on the queue. Production for a few weeks. Then a long boat trip. Took delivery in early Oct. I would have thought you would have moved up at least one spot. I guess your area may get less allocations. I'm in CA for I think we tend to get more due to the big porsche market here.

Nothing you could do about the delays around the stop sale when they started replacing engines in the spring but she’s in your garage now which is what matters most. I’m in CA also (SF Bay Area) and working with a dealer that sells plenty of cars so I don’t think it’s a matter of the market at this point. Just very few allocations to go around for all Porsche models right now and for the foreseeable future. Some of this is a matter of coming late to the party on my part. Just hoping I’m not too late. My gf just bought a 2021 Macan S so we’re enjoying that in the meantime. Like you, this GT4 is a buy and hold forever and someday hand to my son so I’ll keep working at this until I’ve exhausted all options. Thanks again and I’ll stay tuned for more videos👍🏻
Love the spec. I am the wait list at my dealer so who knows when/if it will come. Thinking very similar spec. One thing I’ve noticed on the 718s is the dash seems like a fake leather. Not as upscale as the rest of the car. Are there options to upgrade the dash cover quality? I don’t want to go with all the extra leather they have on the configuration, like the ends of the dash.
I love these cars for absurdely rich people, sci-fi for me. It's incredible how many money some people have, looks like they live in a totally different world from mine, like Gods.
It's a stretch for me too. It cost about 3x more then any other car I've had. Hell the pccb brakes would have cost the same amount I'm planning on selling my current car for. I viewed it as a once in a lifetime purchase that I plan on keeping it forever and if anything ever goes bad I'm counting on the resale value being good. I'm in a good plan in my life, paid off my mortgage, saved enough for my kid's college fund. Felt like the time I could finally splurge on something big while I'm still healthy enough to enjoy it.

Switch the silly fabric door handles for the metal ones and you're all right.

Good spec. I have the same specs except I have yellow stitching and carbon fiber illuminated door guard and a manual. My GT4 arrives in April/May 2022
You've made the right choices. I probably would have the same build if I had to do it over again + yellow seatbelts.

Not sure why you didn’t go with manual.
My wife insisted so she could drive it. In hindsight I should have gotten the manual as she still doesn't drive it.

If you're asking about the trim that is standard aluminum on the cup holder and doors then I chose the no cost leather option.

go for the regular upgrade interior, the leather is adequate. No needs for the extra leather on ends, fuse covers, steering column in my opinion.
